Riverside Dining Facility, Patrick SFB reviews
17Food selection and service during the drill weekends are held to a significantly lower standard than during the week. It's terrible how the quality has diminished as time has gone on.
For this retired Army NCO this place is the HIT. Great food, very reasonable prices. And the view of the bay.
I've chowed in many mess halls over my career. This ranks at the top. Love sitting waterside. The staff is very nice. But this old timer wishes KP duty was still a thing.
Food was decent and yummy. Service was okay. Some of the cooks had squabbles behind the grill. The fact that they didn't take it to the back wasn't the worst thing, but it could be seen as unprofessional. The atmosphere eating outside was serene. It's screened in and covered.
This joint is pretty good, they have inexpensive lunch and dinner.the place is clean and the people working there couldn't be nicer, also great view of river when sitting outside and food is pretty darn good.update: this place I still recommend, I go here frequently because the price is Great and so are the employees
The food is good and the people are doing their best but the portions are kind of poor. I remember the days when military members could come in and you just say what you wanted. So it's a bit of a gross disappointment to see everything portioned and served for guys that are 18 and 19-year-olds working on trying to stay fit eating 6 oz of this and 3 oz of that.
Big kids cafeteria. Decent prices. One of the better food stops on the Northside besides the bowling alley.
Good view. Good food. It's a great place to eat on base.
It's always fun to visit the Riverside dining facility when visiting the base.
Locked their doors 25 min early so could not dine or grab anything to go. Building says clearly 1900
This is my second home. I love the staff and the food is great. We go back every chance we get
Best Place to eat on base – A hidden gem on the water!
This facility is located at the north end of the base and is right on the water (river). There is plenty of parking in front or you can walk from many of the places on base. It is cafeteria style food pickup in the area to the right of the entrance. They have salads, pizza’s and hot meals. You pick up your food and then pay at the cashier. There are 3 different areas to eat: 2 inside and the back patio. The inside has lots of seating inside and a very nice (non air-conditioned) back patio where you can look out on the river. I have seen dolphins on several occasions while sitting here. The food was quite good. The prices were very reasonable and the place was clean. I highly recommend this as one of the best places on base to eat.
I love eating here. Cheap and usually delicious food with a calming view of the river. A good way to detach from work at lunch time and then get back to the work grind.
You just can't go wrong with Air Force/Space Force Force Support Squadron facilities. The service was terrific and the food was nutritious, tasty and hot. The facility was clean. Well done Dining Facility!
A rotating cultural menu plus a friendly staff and clean environment on the river equals an amazing dining experience.
Beautiful staff. The small portion sizes may be okay for old, skinny retirees like me, but if they serve our active duty members the same small portions, they will go back to work hungry.
It's your typical canteen food with an adequate selection for everyone in the family. Friendly staff, clean, quiet, nice views over the river. Good spacing between tables and peaceful enough to have clear discussions with others.
This was the worst military food I've ever eaten to include Marine Corps Field mess. The coffee was like battery acid and tobacco juice (old Copanhagen) and with grounds floating for good measure. Limp bacon, paper thin omlet with a teaspoon of toppings-cheese, tomato ham and pepper. Tasted like a hospital rejection. Over priced and embarrassing to the new Space Force. Great job guys, you unimpressed the hell out of me.
