Don’t bring your kids to this school. If your child needs help they will NOT help you, even thought they are public funded they will say they don’t have the resources. Changed my kid to another school and they are awesome they did not give up on my child and now he is doing great. DONT BRING YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL, I even had to call CPS on them, they dare to put there hands on my kid. They should NOT get funded by our taxes if they can’t help a child.

Don't let your child attend to this school. Principal, also stuff and some teachers are rude disrespectful to the students. As for the principal don't have good communication don't informed parents of any issue. If you don't work their or you not a volunteer parents then you are not their favorites. Their will treat your child unfair.

This school don’t care about the emotional well-being of your child. They will not help in case your child need evaluated. They just will call you 20 minutes after you drop off just to let you know they can’t handle your kid. Really? After 20 minutes? Unbelievable and you call this professionals of education? A educational institutions has the duty to be able to work with any child situation or to offer help not discriminate the child because you cans do your job. This school is 100% public funded so we pay for a services in our taxes that we can’t use when we need it. So unprofessional that took 3 adults to remove by forced my five year old from his classroom to the office like animal and cause scratches on him by adults sharp nails.

If your looking for a school that is very interactive with there children this is the school. First year like any other company or school has its ups and down, however any issues you are able to contact and address your concerns. My child enjoyed her first year here with the teachers in middle school who are helpful and love their kids. During cov19 it was very hard and you can see that the teachers were there trying to make the best of what the issue was!

Come and join us! We can't wait till the new school year!

This place is a joke. I wish I could give it 0 stars. Bullying and kids assaulting each other. They also aren't teaching what they advertise they are. Students are way behind. Teachers quitting every single day with no notice to the parents.

We LOVE Riverview Academy! My daughter was at a sister school and I transferred her because Riverview Academy was closer to home and I am so glad that we did! The principal, staff and teachers are amazing! My daughter will remain at Riverview Academy until she graduates in 7 years.

Do not send you child here. We have been in Charter schools for several years and it was great at first. My son LOVED his middle school teachers, especially Mr. Neiger. He was in all Advanced and Honors classes which we were excited about because it means high school credits. But then he was STABBED by another student. He called me from the nurse's office and said he was waiting to speak to the dean. I said let her know I expect a phone call. No phone call from a single Administrator. Not even an incident report! And the student who stabbed him was told to stay away from my son and was still in class and sitting near him. Do they realize that is assault? So after speaking to my son who didn't feel safe there anymore we decided to transfer him to the regular public school we are zoned for after Winter Break. Here is the REAL shocker: my son has not been learning Honors or Advanced curriculum all year. My straight A child is now behind the rest of the class and had to be moved to 7th grade Math and Science Honors because he hadn't been taught a single thing he was supposed to from August to December. He is having to take the first half of the courses online on virtual school while taking the second half in person. If I had kept my son here until high school I have no doubt that he would have failed freshmen year. There is bullying everywhere in this school and even though he reported it to teachers and I also brought it up, he was still called "Fa**ot" everyday or WORSE. When I went to renew his 504, a child was being taken to the principal's office and was screaming his lungs out. It was chaos. After Care seems overloaded and while the director is a nice guy the counselors are a joke. They are basically teenagers and they have new people every week. I paid every week for a curriculum to have homework help, outside time and structured activities. Every day my son's 7th grade group had to go sit with the Kindergartners because his "counselor" wanted to hang out with her friends. He NEVER got homework help so he was doing homework until 9-10 p.m. Every time I went to pick them up, the kids were playing games in the computer lab while the adults sat in the middle on their phones and not even watching the kids. If you value your child's education do not send them here. They are great salespeople and get you to drink the Kool-Aid. Run far, far away.

The staff is dropping like flies. No notice to parents. Lots of bully behavior in this school! The teachers just turn their head and it continues. The principal is NOT involved in much of the main issues with the school. They drop and change many after school activities with no notice. The car line is a joke! My jaw literally dropped after seeing how this school is ran comparison to their sister schools. It looks good from the outside.but once your child goes in it's a complete mess.

The classes are the only reason I’ve stayed, because my mental health after being here is not the best. I feel overworked and stressed out. They expect you to throw out your home life and focus on school. They only care for the reputation of the school.
