Robco Transmission & Auto Repair, St. Petersburg FL

I was so afraid to take my car with 25 miles from where I live. I searched the web for a repair shop, after I had did my own check on the car and the pricing for the repairs. Let me tell y'all after reading the reviews of Robco, I took my car there. I was so nervous and even told the guy I was and that it was his reviews that got me here. Good customer service, answer all your questions, and my car was fixed and am very happy with the service I received and they offer finances. I will recommend them to others. Thank you

Robco is the most reliable and honest auto shop I have found in over 30 years! They tell me whether or not an issue needs immediate attention. I have a "FixIt" device that gives me all the codes for issues that it finds. When I called Robco, they first explained to me what all of those codes/descriptions means so that I can understand what is going on with my car. They treat me with such respect and courtesy and often don't even charge for diagnosing a problem. My husband and I have a 2006 and a 2008 vehicle, so issues pop up pretty frequently. But it's still better to take our vehicles to Robco than to buy a new car. And when I do buy a new car, it'll be in great hands with Robco servicing it!

Not very welcoming! Rude and unhelpful! They want you to drop your car off for the day to get a diagnosis. They don't offer rides home or parts, you have to find away to get the parts! Will not return!

Very professional knowledgeable and nice guys working here! Without an appointment in and out in 10 min. Cheaper than others and they smile at work! Good find.

I like to think them for doing a great job and listening to me in my concerns about my field they did a great job with my transmission

Robin and his crew continue to provide top notch service to me and my wife. Great place, good mechanics. Was very pleased with the service and the repair. Have been back on the road for about 2 weeks, nothing to complain about. I will be a back if something else comes up. ROBCO is the best repair shop near downtown St. Petersburg. They were originally recommended to me by a St. Pete local I met, about 3 years ago. I was just looking for a plug for my tire and every other place I went nearby wanted $20-$25 for 1 plug! I tried them and they didn't disappoint! Over the last few years, I've had my ac re-charged, engine work done, and just recently an oil change/ ac vent cleaning. They are fast and very professional. I am a female and they still take time to explain what needs done, even if its a little over my head at times. The engine work was finished in a little over 1 day, and cost $500 but would have been almost double that price at other places. My step-dad even brings his cars to Robco all the way from riverview when he needs services.he's been a customer there for many years as well. Quality work for a fair price.some parts/ services even come w a warranty. The gentlemen who work there are very friendly and very helpful! I don't trust any other shop in St. Pete except Robco!

You can tell how honest a mechanic is by asking for a cheap and easy job. I called asking the cost to bleed my breaks and they quoted me $120 to do it. Not only are they 4 times more expensive than others but couldn't even do the job that day. Call around there are other shops with MUCH better pricing who are much more honest and trustworthy!

Shorty and Rob are top notch. Their work is done with professional integrity. I don't let just anyone mess with my Challenger.

These guys are the best! I take everything to them, they fixed my Jeep “ transmission & transfer case “ and my Freightliner Sprinter Van, if you have an issue with your car go here first and give them a chance. Very good, knowledgeable, very reasonable and professional. Great guys to deal with. Nice guys too! Lol check-em out!

I’ve been going to this shop for years now because from the beginning they have always been honest and up front, they don’t try to get you to do repairs you don’t need and their prices are fair.

We take all of our fleet and personal cars here. Prices are awesome and they fix what’s wrong the first time. A+

Absolutely wonderful, and they keep their word! In October 2019 I had front wheel bearings of my Toyota replaced, and due to something unfortunate, the right wheel bearing started making noise in September of 2020. They honored their warranty, and replaced it quickly and thoroughly at no charge to me. Great people!
