I injured my back at work and was sent to Dr. Lurate. My 1st visit went okay. He referred me to physical therapy. However when it came to my 2nd visit with him I was called & told that I needed to reschedule because he wasn't going to be there. So on 4/25/23 I had my 2nd appointment with him. My appointment was for 2: 15 however I didn't actually get to see him until 4: 20 & the office closed at 4: 30. So I had less than 10 minutes of his time. He didn't want to listen to anything I had to say about the pain I've been in or how therapy was going. I told him that my therapist said he thought I should have an MRI with contrast & all he said was you need a new therapist. He then said he would put in a referral for a new therapist & for pain. Management. Then he didn't even want to hear that I didn't want to cover the pain I want to know what is causing it. Then he left the room.
Stay clear of this so called doctor!

Very nice office staff. No long wait. Doctor listened to everything I had to say and explained in detail my choices.

Dr Lurate is very personable, and professional. There is never a long wait to see him, and he is very thorough. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lurate and his entire staff have been great. So glad he was able to get me fixed up and stopped the pain.

After years of trying to get doctors to pay attention to my bad knee (ACL, medial meniscectomy, and arthroscopy 1996) that is arthritic again, Dr. Lurate said I need a knee replacement. I agree. But I’m not ready for the downtime yet, so I had a cortisone shot in my knee that seems to be helping for now. Dr. Lurate is articulate, personable, and I trust him. The staff was great too from chrck-in to X-Ray, to checkout. I would recommend Dr. Lurate. Dr. Lurate also saw me after I broke my hip in DC and had had hip pinning at George Washington University Hospital. I appreciated the care I received from Dr. Lurate for my hip injury. I will review again after my knee replacement surgery.

Dr Lurate is excellent. Straight to the point, explains in detail, gets the job done. Highly recommend!

Dr Lurate has been my orthopedic doctor/surgeon for at least 20 years. All my back surgeries have been a success and my pain was gone once the healing process was over.

Dr. Laurate did my total knee replacement last July, and it has been so successful that I am back to my daily walks and activities. As a result, I have recently met with him to schedule the total knee surgery for my other knee. My only suggestion is to bring a list of questions. The surgery requires a lot of commitment from the patient.

Right knee was replaced. Dr. Lurate i had was very good, I was very comfortable with Dr, and the office staff. My new knee is very good and getting better everyday. I went back to work after 7 weeks. Knee is doing great. Dr. Lurate looked at my other knee, I had replaced in another state 10 years ago. Happy to say both knees are doing well.

Dr. Lurate is one of the best doctors I gave ever had the pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Laurate is persistent. He is knowledgeable and gets right to the point! He has worked with me with my brotken leg. And operated on my broken wrist! I have completel confidence in him.

I've seen Dr Lurate a couple times and the wait time has always been minimal, the office staff very pleasant. The Dr has always done all he could to alleviate my pain and I would highly recommend him!

Dr Lurate and his staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. They make sure to answer any and all questions, and give you the most informed options.

Fast service they get you in and get you out. You don't have to sit up all day long. Like most doctor offices.

I had a complete tear of my ACL MCL LCL meniscus and patellar tendon from a horrific ski accident, Dr Lurate did a hamstring graft and a multiple incision arthroscopic repair (my request) which is VERY complicated and I am now 98% which is amazing. He did an incredible job on a difficult surgery. He’s also worked on my wrist and done a total total knee and 2 total hips on my mom and we have been very happy every time.

I am writing this review as i wait with my mother in the waiting room to check her in before her surgery.
But of course she’s not able to get her surgery because the office staff has made ANOTHER huge mistake and can’t find her anywhere in the schedule. This has happened multiple times about mix up in appointment scheduling!
His office staff absolutely sucks! Michaela has made a bunch of errors and i don’t know why she is still working there. She is completely incompetent
THIS IS THE WORST TREATMENT MY MOM HAS EVER HAD.

Worst experience of my life did my back surgery and let me suffer in pain for 3 years then we challenged him on it and questioned him he released me as a Patient saying he could do nothing for me. Stay away for here.
