Rountree Realty has helped me immensely with the sale of my mother's home in Florida. Unfortunately my mother had a massive stroke, I moved her to Michigan to be with me and to go to rehab. Because I knew she would never be able to live alone, we decided to sell her house. What I thought would be an easy process, turned into a very LONG process. I had found out from the title company that my mother's title was not marketable and in order to sell the home I had to hire an attorney and pursue a suite to quiet title. This process can take anywhere from 3-6 months, in our case it was closer to 6 months. Duke Rountree was there to help us along the way with the entire process. He had found a buyer for the home almost immediately and thankfully we had a signed contract right away and the buyers were willing to wait. Duke was so patient and so quick to return any calls or emails with questions or concerns that I had. I went through Rountree Realty to buy a home, and to sell one (a nice, double-wide, manufactured home on three acres of beutifully secluded land.) They basicall do the full Monte, with overhead photographs taken by a drone (no joke), and a walk-through photo montage. Their photo package is without compare, really. The thing with Rountree Realty is they know the area. I've seen the guy bushwacking through shoulder-high Florida brush to mark the corners of a piece of land next to mine. I'd go through them again if I ever bought another piece of propery in central Florida.

We live in Miami and were looking for a property with at least 25 to 30 acres in Marion County that was zoned agricultural, with or without a house, and close to major thoroughfares. Since we were not familiar with the specific areas in Marion County that would fit our needs, we contacted John “Duke” Rountree of Rountree Realty, who grew up in Marion County and has been a realtor there for over 25 years. He is extremely knowledgeable of the housing market in Marion County, and has a unique perspective and understanding of the agricultural community and all respective Federal, State and County mandates that govern those type properties. He gave us excellent guidance, unflagging availability to accommodate us since we live in Miami, and deep knowledge about a really wide range of properties that we looked at. Duke is approachable, personable, endlessly patient, and incredibly generous with his time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends over the course of several months). He is well respected in the community and has established significant business contacts with surveyors, title companies, lending institutions, etc. Duke answered all our concerns and explained every form and part of the process clearly and thoroughly. He went above and beyond to obtain owner financing to afford us the opportunity to build a house. Buying a home in this market is challenging and scary, but working with Duke made it as painless and straightforward as possible. We highly recommend him.

Duke listed my house for sale and we had an asking price offer the day after it hit MLS. He was a pleasure to deal with through the whole process. The buyers lender made some things a bit difficult, but he reassured me and kept me updated throughout. He’s the best there is!
