I am extremely disappointed with my experience with RSJ Labradors. They are selling sick puppies. My 8 week old puppy was sent home covered in fleas, was severely infested with hookworms & roundworms and has a severe urinary tract infection. At 12 weeks we are still trying to clear the UTI and hookworms. My veterinarian said this type of infection and worm infestation is caused by a dirty kennel. I notified Shannon of the issues with my puppy and did not receive any sort of response. Also she did not register the dogs with the AKC as stated in our contract. If you are purchasing a Labrador from RSJ please have them checked out by your vet ASAP. I would do your research and check out her kennel before signing a contract with her.

We have been blessed with a beautiful, well behaved puppy from RSJ Labradors. Shannon is informative, accommodating, and is a strong communicator. We have been very pleased with our experience and would recommend RSJ Labradors if you are interested in bringing a beloved family member into the family.

If you are looking for a lab, look no further. The moment we met Shannon and her dogs, we knew we wanted one of her puppies. We picked up our puppy, Rooster, this past April and we couldn't be happier. He is the most sound and sweetest dog I've ever met. He meets no stranger (people, dogs, horses, etc) he absolutely loves kids and is truly a sound and beautiful dog. We are so incredibly grateful to have found RSJ Labs when we were looking for a puppy to complete our family.

If I could give this review 6 or 7 stars, I absolutely would. More details below, but the headline is this: If you’re looking for the perfect puppy experience for you and your family, RSJ is the right place for you. The process, the communication, the ongoing support and guidance – second to none.

Our journey to finding the perfect puppy for us was a lengthy one. We spent a number of months determining what breed would be right for our family – including our then 8-year old son. Once we narrowed down to labs, we started our breeder research. So much information out there, but it all led us back to Shannon and family at RSJ Labradors. We visited last August and felt at home. We put our deposit down and filled out our contract and intake questionnaire. Shannon provided us with regular updates on the waiting list and expected breeding schedules. In December, we found out through the course of conversation that neighbors of ours had adopted their yellow lab from RSJ about 5 years ago – and they raved about how great everything was. Certainly made us feel good. Shortly after, we found out that two litters were coming in February and the probability of reaching our spot on the waiting list was high.

From the moment our puppy was born, the level of communication from RSJ was great. Several times per week we were getting text, photo, and video updates on the litter. When we went to visit the litter, Shannon paid close attention to the way each puppy interacted with our family. When it came time to match each puppy with each family, it was obvious she took great care in looking back to our intake questionnaire, thinking about each family, and what would be best for everyone. We didn’t get the collar color our son hoped for – but we did get the collar color our son and our family needed. Which is far more important because we could not be more in love and more pleased with our puppy, Maverick.

From the day Maverick came home, everyone he has come in contact with has complimented his temperament. He’s great with other adults, other kids, and other dogs. That’s no accident or lucky occurrence – the RSJ team does a great job in breeding and raising puppies.

And every time I’ve sent a text with a simple question from a panicking new puppy parent, it’s been met with a quick response, sound recommendations, and kindness. We look forward to utilizing their boarding services in the future, because we know Maverick will be in great hands when he’s there. RSJ is amazing! Although we personally do not have a RSJ pup (yet!) we know that they care so much about their dogs/pups and new families for life. We have utilized RSJ’s boarding services for our current Lab pup multiple times and we are so thankful they take such good care of our girl. You would be hard-pressed to find a more professional and caring breeder than RSJ Labs. The lab we received from them has been amazing in all aspects and he has been one of the easiest lab puppies I've ever owned. He is smart, easy to train, well-tempered, and very handsome (though I might be a little biased!). Shannon, the owner of RSJ Labs, made the entire experience very easy and she is there to help at every step of the process. Unlike other breeders we've dealt with, she is still available to answer questions and provide advice after you bring your puppy home. RSJ also provides excellent boarding options. I highly recommend this breeder and we will be getting our next lab from them.
