There was a lady in the office that was very rude, unprofessional, incompetent, and immature. She needs to grow up. If she treats parents and students the way she treated me, I’m pretty sure a lot of people are tired of her by now. Thank God I’ll never have to deal with her again.

Dear School Administrator/Principal,

My name is Flores Daniel, and I am writing to address a concerning incident that occurred this morning at the school drop-off.

As a new parent to the area and with today being only my son's second week at the school, I had an unfortunate experience during drop-off. Upon arriving a bit early at 7: 32am, my son expressed his shyness and confusion about where to go. Unfortunately, I did not see anyone available to guide the children besides the older gentleman assisting with getting the kids out of the car after the gates opened at 7: 45am.

When the gates opened, I walked towards the gate in search of guidance, only to be met with three instances of being screamed at, "Where do you think you're going!? ! ". I calmly explained that it was my first time and that I was unsure of where to go. The older gentleman, Alberto, responded rudely, stating that I couldn't go through there and turned his back to continue his duties. I waited until he turned back around and reiterated that I was new and seeking information for my son. In a disrespectful manner, Alberto pointed at me and said, "It's your first time, not his. He has a green polo for Ms. Jean's class, and he knows where to go, " before turning away and laughing.

While I understand the importance of ensuring our children's safety and enforcing protocols, I believe there is a more respectful and considerate approach to addressing parents, especially those who are new and seeking information. I asked again how we could enter the school as my son needed to use the restroom and was still unsure of where his class was. Alberto reluctantly stated that he would call someone to assist my son. We waited for approximately two minutes before I asked if he could use his radio to expedite the process becausehe didnt attempt to call for back up. Alberto said no someone will come soon.

I wanted to bring this incident to your attention because I believe that fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for parents and students is crucial, particularly for those who are new to the school community. A positive and respectful interaction can greatly impact a parent's confidence in the school's ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their child.

I kindly request that this incident be addressed with Alberto and that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that similar situations do not occur in the future. It is my hope that all parents, regardless of their familiarity with the school, feel comfortable reaching out for assistance and guidance.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your time and feedback.

Ruth k broad is a draining school mentally and physically full of teacher who don't care about their students and kids who don't care about their friends.instead of kids bullying kids its teacher bulling them instead. The teachers are horrible especially all three of the science teachers. They have no respect for kids and straight up bully them and called them fat exc.

Miss Sylvia something I forgot her last name the science teacher gave me so much trauma she was so narcissistic and please fire her I should have never been talk to like that as a child all of these employees need to come to light it’s 2023 trying to handle her behavior as a child which is something I should have never had to do and trying to appease her so she wouldn’t get upset was just heartbreaking that I had to go through that as a child and a child should never have to keep an adult from exploding on them

List of the people who need skills on how to behave towards children

Mr. Israel Sosa (dumb first name by the way)

List of his past behavior:
Misogynistic, can’t handle position of authority because he abuses it, dated ideologies, thinks he can do whatever he wants just in general abuses power ;)

Mr. Scott saperstein

Ms. Lois Lax (past behavior)

Ms. Janet Denard (former employee)

That’s my list so far

I hope Ruth’s legacy will be portrayed in this school and this school will be a kind wholesome environment of learning

that’s all I ask, thank you! But not really thank you because all you people have done is given me trauma

As a student that used to be in this school, i think it is ok, first of all, the summer camp was awful, we did not do anything exept sit in the cafetirea 75% of the day and the other 25% was going outside for 30 minutes. Second of all, most of the time the food is horrible.the nurse is useless and my forth grade spanish teacher was the rudest person i ever met. I hated going upstairs after p.e, there was a elevator but of course only the teachers get to use it. There were some good things bout this school like the fact that, my third grade was my favorite year yet. This school and bay harbor does bring some good memories

As a student I attend Ruth K Broad most people say public schools are scary but this school is tottally different the teachers here are amazing the campus is a good balance between middle school and elementary. Some of the counselors are good there! Mrs. Nagler 5-8 grades. Some people there are not the best kids but that is like every school. I think this school is amazing definitely put your kid in this school.

This school is great, I have my two kids there and we are delighted with their hard work and will to help the students! Mr. Saperstein, the principal, is a great role model for the kids and is always available to help! I am so grateful to be part of this community! Thank you Ruth K Broad.

I like this school, some teachers are too hard on us. They give points like it’s candy. But other than that it’s a good school.

The elementary school was great. All the teachers were very nice. The middle school is a completely different story. Teachers like Ms. Lax need to be suspended. She’s rude to almost all the children except her favorites and she never gives the students a chance. She also acts very goody good when another staff member is around but when they aren’t she’s very rude. One thing I learned is that most off teachers never try to give their students seconds chances when very clearly the students need it. Some teachers also give detentions like it’s candy. While some are reasonable others aren't, for example, a friend of mine got a detention because they left a minute early when the clock was wrong and said the time we leave to go to our next period
