Ruz Bukhari - Halal Cuisine, Jacksonville FL

Passing by and happened to come to this place. We had lunch buffet and the food was delicious. Would love to come back again.

This place is no longer a Turkish food establishment as it says in the description since management change I presume. Currently they serve authentic Afghan menu which is the best I ever had, probably better compared to all Indian restaurants there. We missed the chance of enjoying the buffet as it runs until 6/7 pm. We ordered mantoo as appetizer (highly recommended), then signature dish, Dujaj Shahaya and chicken korma, highly recommend both. Both dishes come with bukhari rice.

I went in during the lunch buffet hours by myself. When I walked in, it was only a family of 4 and the owner that were in the dining area.

I ended up having 3 plates of food, with 1 small serving of each item. I really enjoyed the selection they had available, which was a mix of vegetarian, beef, and chicken entrees, along with sides like their rice, lentil soup, hummus, etc.
They also have a self-serve soda machine along with a hot brewed beverage on the buffet line near the rice (I admittedly forgot to try ittask what it was). I left paying about $25, which was with a tip.

The owner was extremely kind and attentive. I had done research before coming, but since it was my first time, he was kind enough to explain each of the dishes to me.
Although I didn't take up his offer this time around, the owner let me know that if there were any items that weren't on the buffet line I was interested in, it can be made to order.

An overall great first experience! I hope more people come to support this business, and I'll be coming back soon to try one of their lamb items!

It is a beautiful place. The food was good.it is a very modern place to go to and eat dinner

We tried this exceptional restaurant on our way to Florida from New York. We tried the buffet as suggested by the owner and we were blown away by the taste. If you are from the Middle East the food here will comfort your heart and soul. Please try everything on the menu. It'll surely make your day.

Best food I recommend this Restaurant in Jacksonville Florida. And they have very. Great customer service.

The new messed up owner claimed that his store had been robbed today morning. Investigation & Insurance will find out.
Cops contacted me, he accused me of the robbery, while I’m working. Because I left a bad review for the store. So ridiculous. That’s Retaliation.
Seriously, He's so bad person.

I have been going there with my Dogs for more than 3 years. Going with friends, bringing business.
The New Claimed Owner, said that we took all the Kabobs, it was only 7 left. I asked for more for my coming friend to join. He said there were More. He said the Overseas Partners Owners watching on cameras, Seriously. He said It’s about Principles.
First: they don’t have business just to count how many kabobs & how much food for each customer.
Second: It’s an Open Buffet, the Concept of an Open Buffet means an Unlimited Food to supply, otherwise Call it a Limited Buffet.
Third: You open for Business, I have pay you for 2 plus Tips: for me & 10 Kabobs (3 chickens & 7 Beef; whatever left) for my dogs.
Four: We always sit outside & I serve myself.
Fifth: What Principle supposed to do with Open Business
Sixth: We usually me & probably another Table, you’re a Slow Business, almost dead, buddy. You need to keep & attract Customers, not argue & fight with them.
You are open for business & money, not for Excuse of Principles. He was not happy with me to feed my dogs the Kabobs, that I’m paying for.

I never going back under the current Owner, Mr Principal. There are Plenty of Restaurants & Open Buffets in Jax. Good luck with that approach.

Whenever we are in town we make sure to visit Ruz Bukhari! We've ordered off the menu and done the buffet - you can't go wrong either way. We've had the kabobs (lamb, beef, chicken), lamb shank, hummus, baba ganouj, grape leaves, and all have been absolutely amazing. However, the dish that blew our minds was the Borani Banjan (a roasted eggplant dish topped with yogurt) - we couldn't stop scooping it up with the warm pita bread. The owners are incredibly sweet, inviting, and helpful. I wish we had this restaurant in my town!

The people who run this business are very kind and we hope they do well! Their food is very good and they have a lunch buffet that we enjoy going to. There is a nice selection with something for everyone. They will gladly tell you what they are serving if you aren’t sure. They also have sweets like baklava on the line
My family are frequent fliers. This is a local small business we definitely want to keep around!

I loved the food. The food was fresh and tasty. The Service and Atmosphere were all excellent. The prices were also reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

The restuarant has variety of tasty food, including lebanese grills, bukhari rice and amazing chicken shawaya, perfect place for someone missing lebanese taste, highly recommended.

Had the buffet. Food was fresh and hot or kept on ice. Owner was very friendly.
Had the following:
Chicken/Beef Kofta Kebabs - Chicken kofta was excellent; beef tends to be a little hit or miss since the aftertaste can affect it if it's been sitting a little too long
Stuffed Grape Leaves
Chicken Korma - chicken falling off the bone
Kabuli Pulao - not dry; a bit sweeter would have been better
Lentil Soup - looks and tastes hearty; quite fragrant
Coconut cake dessert - moist and a big surprise
Borani Banjan - for any eggplant fans, this was incredibly delicious
Hummus - If you see oil on top, it's because Hummus and Baba Ganoush are mixtures and will tend to separate out given some time. They ARE still fresh.

I will return to try the lamb sometime.

Stopped by for some lunch buffet. Delicious and filling. My favorites were the beef korma and chicken korma. Good service.
