Great customer service. Just got off of the phone with Scott, he couldn’t have been more helpful. That small town hospitality that is missing in the big box store.

Disgruntled? Yes. Annoyed? Beyond. Until the owner/manager reaches out to me or I get my money back, this review stays. I hope you read it.

It begins with an 03’ Mercury 5Hp two stroke outboard. I took the motor in for a diagnostic about a month ago. The man on the phone. Scott, was it? I don’t exactly recall. He tells me I need either a carb rebuild or a new carb for my motor. Out the door cost is around $600 (I don’t recall the exact amount). He also says the fee will cover the $50 diagnostic fee, which I agreed to, as well as a lower end servicing.

Well, I declined the service, got my motor back and took it a man who I should have taken it to in the first place. Someone who has more Mercury engine repair experience than likely anyone in that shop has, or ever will have. Bottom line, in 20 minutes. 20 flipping minutes, he has the thing humming. Runs like a dang champ. Turns out the carb float and valve needle were stuck in place causing gas to free flow in the carb. He cleaned the varnish off, which cured everything, put it back together and wa-flipping la.

I have a question L&A. I dropped the engine off with NO gas. It was returned with NO gas. Did you even try to get it to run? Please tell me how my $50 was spent. I’d love to know. The right thing to do, again assuming you know half as much about Mercury as my neighbor does, would have been to fix the issue and give it back for around $75 bucks. Instead, you’ve wasted my time, gas money to drive to Welaka and now another 15 minutes on this god awful review.

I’ve lived in the area my entire life. Until $50 is refunded into my bank account, not only will this review haunt google forever, but I will go out of my way to tell my neighbors about this terrible feeling.that I’ve been had. Well done.

And as an added bones. The lady on the phone today, when I called to pick up the engine, yeah, she sounded like she loves her job.

Took my Blazer boat in to S&A due to having trolling motor issues, not only did they fix it less than a few hours, he also saw where my Mercury motor had a recall and fixed it on the spot. I will definitely be back for service and anything else my boat needs. Top notch service.

I have had my boats, power poles, marine electronics, trolling motors and Mercury outboards worked on by Mr Scott and his staff. I trust the work and service to all my boating needs.

Excellent customer service and knowledgeable staff. A little off the beaten path but I will NEVER hesitate to go here again and neither should you. Helped me with my warranty and repairs on my Motor Guide Xi5. Couldn't be happier with my experience.
