S3 (Sun Surf Sand), Fort Lauderdale FL

My husband and I had a delicious dinner at S3 on Friday July 7,2023, celebrating a special a special occasion. We had a lovely server who suggested the special, the short rib empanadas, which were out of this world. They were beyond delicious in an amazing sauce. I was going to order the short ribs originally so this was a nice surprise to find as the special. It was the small plate special but I’m a light eater so it was a perfect portion. My husband ordered the Crunchy Snapper and thoroughly enjoyed it. His portion was enormous and the presentation impressive. We each had a drink (a beer and a split of Prosecco) and we received a complimentary dessert and our bill with gratuity came to $100, which was a bit high for 2 entrees (1 small plate) and 2 drinks, but we did enjoy the food 100% and recommend S3 as the food was impeccable, the service wonderful and the vibe was fun. A nice experience. Definitely recommend for a special night especially.

We were with the wedding party we did not pay the bill we heard it was very expensive I had an appetizer my husband had sushi we both had a very good experience

Came here with a large party of friends for a birthday and they were able to accommodate us and the service was on point! Food is absolutely deliciousssss!

Loved this place. Drinks and food were great. The atmosphere was very authentic, and watching the waves roll in while eating is the best.

I had a great experience there. The service, atmosphere and vibe was good. We had outdoor seating and it didn’t disappoint. Will come back again

I recently had the pleasure of visiting S3 and had one of the most memorable night, all thanks to the incredible bartender, Sean From the moment I stepped foot in the establishment, I knew I was in for a treat.

S3 exudes an inviting atmosphere, and it was evident that the staff takes immense pride in their craft. However, it was Sean who truly stole the show with their exceptional bartending skills and infectious passion for mixology.

Not only did Sean impress with their skills behind the bar, but they also displayed an incredible ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their friendly demeanor and ability to strike up conversations made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. It was evident that they genuinely enjoyed connecting with people and creating memorable experiences for each individual.

Definitely a memorable experience!

The reason I’ve been coming here multiple times a week is due to the hospitality of the bar staff. Ryan, Anna, Sean, and Kylie are the shining stars of this establishment. Food and views are solid but the real gems are the amazing staff.

The singer on Friday was phenomenal. What a talented individual! However, the volume was a bit much for us being so close. The speakers should be pointed away from the people. But, otherwise we enjoyed and will be back.

This place is awesome! We always look forward to seeing our favorite bar tender Anna, who makes each visit extra special with her attentive service and cheerful attitude. All the food is amazing and my favorite or the goat cheese guava bites as an appetizer. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to be back!

Anna at the bar was an absolute gem! The espresso martinis she made were the best we have ever had. Service on food was also prompt and absolutely delicious. Came in for just an impromptu dinner and will definitely come back the next time we are in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area

Overall, give a 4. Food was good, service was impeccable, atmosphere not really my jam it was hot and I have a pet peeve with chairs that sit below table height.

The braised short ribes plate was cold and the meet was dry. Our waitress was rushing us and a little rude. The waitress never asked where we were parked and how we could have saved on the hotel valet parking. The Hilton valet parking charged us $60 instead of $8 if we had given our restaurant receipt. Very disappointed.

I went there last night and had salmon. Very disappointed! They call it medium but it was crunchy and def fried! Rolls were ok. But nothing wow.

The happy hour drinks were not good. The beer was not good at all. Service was great and the view and atmosphere was awesome. The spicy tuna roll was miserable. Happy hour prices were good.

To start off the food is great and has always been great for years and years and that’s why we come back but the waitresses that serve the outdoor bar area and tables are so rude and have unnecessary attitude. Totally different experience on the inside of the restaurant since the waiters/waitresses have more experience and are very kind. I think management needs to hire waitresses based on their people skills and experience vs their good looks. The last two times we sat outside the experience has been horrible bc of waitresses attitudes and inability to be polite.

Omg. The freshness is incredible! This sushi roll is to die for! The grilled octopus is outstanding. What a gem it is here. The prices are so reasonable I felt like I should have paid more than we did!
