8Updated. I agree with most of these reviews-customer service is beyond bad but it's not usually because of Safelink, it's Tracfone customer service that you deal with. Many times Tracfone employees keep promising to take care of it & won't transfer customers so ask or insist to be transferred to a safelink rep.
This company is not in the U. S. A, you cannot call the home office. The customer service people are not in the U. S. A.and the service is sub-par.
INCOMPETENT to say the least. Complete WAIST of government funding to have this program if its intended use can’t be accomplished. Have spent HOURS on the phone to get absolutely nowhere. Havent had mobil data in months and every single person I speak with can’t seem to fix the issue, instead they give me the run around about cutting the phone/Wi-Fi on and off over and over and over while they continue to supposedly “update” my account at 10/15 minute intervals. Then they have me constantly pulling out a SIM card that the phone doesn’t recognize but is in place and came with the phone. They also insist on sending a verification code to the phone that HAS NO MOBIL DATA thus can’t receive text and I can’t verify. But yet this company is still receiving money for a service they haven’t provided to me in months.
I have been without service for three months. The technical service Dept. Kept me on the phone for over two hours, text calls to trac took another two hours while I was using an alternate phone all the time telling me the system shows my trac phone is working, still NO SERVICE, just a pop up stating, mobile network not available. I asked if they could direct me to a local repair service, no reply. I get a great signal and other phones work great in this area, as you can see from my usage on this alternate phone. Please stay away from these fatherless jack legs now owned by VERI ZION. I lost over 7ooo, that's 7 THOUSAND. Minutes of talk time to these jerks. But I have hope that the old adage is true, what goes around, comes home to roost. I eagerly await the news that Verizon is belly up.
Got anew phone. Phone didn't work. Contacted technical support was on the phone for a hour and 15 minutes and never got any where with them. The FCC should look at their business.
Yes this company is no good.they put these Spanish people on line too disrespectful and tell you that you lie about your phone ACP number and more.than I have find out they pass my service to other companies without my permission and they with cut your service off without you know. About it. They doing scam fraudulent and out
Safelink Company is run by fraudsters. My son who is disabled was approved for Safelink and had been a customer for 6 years without a problem. Suddenly he's been having a problem where his phone would stop working after one month because Safelink kept dropping him. He calls to get it back on which they said would be permament, but then it cuts off again each month. And each time he has to keep calling Safelink to get his phone working again. Finally after months of calling and being transferred many times, they tell him he needs to switch to another provider. So after switching to a new provider, they said Safelink needs to unlock the phone for them. So again he calls Safelink and they inform him they can not unlock it for him because he is no longer on their system.
If that's the case, why didn't Safelink unlock his phone before they told him to switch to another provider. HE ASK TO SPEAK TO a Supervisor and they will not transfer you to one. SAFELINK is operating under corrupt business practice. It seems no one employed there knows what they're doing.
I have been having problems with someone trying to use my information to get free cell service. I spoke with Mary in the enrollment department this afternoon and she was awesome. Turned my service right back on while I was speaking with her. Thank you Mary very much
