Safelite AutoGlass reviews
16I scheduled an appointment, received a call, so, I asked the caller-employee: '. Who is the glass manufacturer of the windshield to be installed. '? His reply: '. I do not know but you need to pay on arrival. ' Laughable and utterly brainless. I cancelled the appointment. Interestingly, right after the call - I received a few unsolicited calls from 'freelancers' offering to replace my windshield - ai, ai, yay, yay Safelite - someone is taking company business to do work on a side!
The scheduling was a bit disorganized but the work was executed perfectly, I would not go anywhere else.
Good job safelite. I was sceptical first. But after I have done 2 windshields (g wagon and rsq8) I can recommend safelite to anyone!
I have recommended you to several people, mostly windshield cracks, i had to have a passenger window replaced
My windshield was cracked a d needed replacement. Technician Mark was dispatched to my house to replace it. He was very pleasant and professional and did an excellent job replacing the windshield. He explained the whole process of replacement and did the job in about 2 hours. We chatted for a little while as he explained what he was doing as he worked. Safe lite bills the insurance company so there is no hassle and paperwork. They also include a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend Mark and Safelite for your windshield replacement service.
Here's the issue. I had my windshield replaced. Part of the procedure is removal of the cowling at the bottom of the windshield. The cowling has little clips molded into it to hold it tight against the bottom of the windshield.my cowling is popped up off the bottom of the windshield. Now I have a leaf catcher! I hate to do it but I'm afraid Safelite is going to be unhappy about pulling the windshield out and replacing it with Original equipment Oops, turns out Safelite uses aftermarket windshields. The VIN is lined up on the windshield which means the aftermarket rather than an OEM windshield is the issue. I took my car to the shop yesterday and the "manager" told me it's my cowling that is warped which is nonsense and I told him so. I said the aftermarket windshield isn't the correct size but. I don't want to be a jerk and make them replace the windshield with Original equipment that I'll live with it. That doesn't mean I'm a happy customer though.
I canceled and went elsewhere. Corporate needs to train their people. Not only didn't they have the correct windshield after a two week wait but they kept me at the location for 2 hours while they determined they had the incorrect windshield. They were willing to order the correct windshield but when I asked the manager to make a call to see if they could have it by the next week he told me he doesn't call we just have to wait.
For what it is worth a manager and employees should address the customers by their name, oh thank you Mr. Jones, I will make every effort Mr. Jones. Lastly the receptionist slumps into his chair, he is the first person a customer sees, how about acting like he gives two hoots?
I called another company they will have an OEM installed at my home within 3 days. They have called me back to follow up. They call me by my name!
No wonder Safelite has to spend so much money on advertising!
Had a windshield crack on my Tesla Model X and requested Safelite AutoGlass to replace it.
They were friendly, professional, and got the job done quickly.
I dropped off my car at 730am to have the windshield replaced. I hadn't heard from them in a wh ile so I called their cell center at 4pm to find out what is going in because they close at 5pm. The operator tells me the car will be ready at 530pm and they will stay open to finish the job. They didn't start working on my car until 547pm. The car wasn't ready until 605pm. When I got the car there was debris on the dashboard because they didn't even bother to clean up after themselves. My car has sensors that notify me by text so I know that my car was not even not even touched until 547pm
even though I dropped it off at 730 in the morning. These guys must hate working there because they obviously dont care about their customers. Avoid this place like the plague.
This store canceled my appointment two hours before the mobile was supposed to show up and then rescheduled on a Tuesday (4 days later) they said they tried to contact me, but they didn’t. That was the first lie of Many!
After I informed Tony, Fritz & Eli that it’s leaking and it’s been raining every day.
They DON’T CARE…!
Drive a car that is UNSAFE TO OPERATE! WTH is wrong with these racketeers? $$$$$$$$$$
FRITZ LAWRENCE store Manager (doubt it) made every single excuse in the book, and that it was gonna take him three hours, and I had to bring it into the shop when it was originally scheduled for a mobile cancel that within two hours of the appointment don’t fall for these clowns rigmarole and then Eli Gonzales alleged store manager never called me back.
I want you to bring the car in because it’s easier for them and they said get it towed or will send one of our rookie technicians and training out to pick it up but it’ll have to be left overnight unattended!
STAY AWAY.
This is a RACKET
DONT FALL FOR THEIR LIES!
I need to change my windshield but after reading so many negative comments about this company, I prefer to continue looking for another!
Set up an appointment at 2pm- arrived at 1: 55pm. I was told it was going to take 1 to 1.5hrs to complete the job. A few cars came 10-15mins after me and were taken care of right away. Around 3: 15pm I had to tell the guy that they haven’t even looked at my vehicle. He sent someone to get it, after almost 1.5hrs and it took another 2hrs for them to finish.
Had to have another location replace the entire windshield.that shop said it was the worst job he had ever seen
Bad service! They misplaced my windshield, they broke the protector of the front camera, the plug of a windshield wiper, they left the protective plastic on the windshield loose, they left traces of glue on the entire sheet of the car and the windshield that they placed on me is not original and it makes me dizzy when driving, lousy service! I went back to claim they kept me waiting
A Safelite rep from this location came to fix my windshield. They rep broke my windshield wipers in the process. I did not notice the issue until I was three hours from home and it was dark and raining. Safelite is closed over the weekend and auto shops were closed at this time, so I spent a night in the closest hotel and got the wipers repaired the next day out of pocket. After much discussion, the manager at this location agreed to reimburse me for the out of pocket costs associated with their poor service. I sent the required documentation and have not been reimbursed. I have spent nearly 20 hours on the phone trying to get support, starting from the initial event and now in follow up to be reimbursed. This is an unprofessional and unresponsive organization and I would suggest looking elsewhere for service.
Quick and quality service! I had my a golf ball smash my windshield on Tuesday. Called my insurance and got an appointment on Thursday. Brought the car in on Thursday at 730am and it was ready to be picked up at 1030am.
