Sage Dental of Miami Beach at 71st Street

The staff is very professional. I had a Peri-Cleaning they were very aware of my sensitivity and made sure I would not feel a thing. Husband also is a patient and had cavity work and the dentist once again was so good he did not realize they had complete the job.
Thank you for such a professional staff, starting from the receptionist that greets you to the young lady Lily who does your insurance. My dentist is the best with the assistant who doesn’t miss a beat.

This is the WORST corporate dental office in Miami!
If you are reading this trying to decide to go there, please do yourself a favor and DON’t GO there.

I went there with a minor problem and doctor Elaine Espinet damaged completely my tooth causing me a nerve damage! There are plenty of amazing dental offices right across the street. I have never met a more incompetent doctor and dental staff including the office manager Lily Trujillo. After calling them and telling them that after the appointment I am in a lot of pain, they told me to come back to the office. I went back and while sitting on the chair the doctor was trying to tell me that this was not the tooth she fixed (just for you to understand how clueless about her job Dr Elaine is) and the worst part was that she wasn’t focused on fixing the problem that she caused, she was trying to sell me and telling me that I have other teeth that I should fix and get done at the office. They are so hungry for money!
After leaving the second appointment I tried calling the Customer Quality Assurance representative Theresa Veazey, she was ignoring my calls for weeks, didn’t reply to any of my requests to speak to her. She was extremely rude and ignorant even after I told her that I was in pain for weeks because of the horrible job that Dr. Elaine Espinet had done. I got an email that I will get my money back but that was a LIE! She lied to refund me the money and then stopped answering at all.
This was one of the worst experiences that I have had and I wouldn’t want other patients to go through that so PLEASE AVOID any Sage Dental office!

Stay away from this place. Lily the manager there is unprofessional, will never answer your e-mails or calls you back If you have any questions or billing issue. I will never go back to this office and I will make sure that everybody knows about how unethical the management in this place.

I called to make appointment to clean my teeth a month ago. I was quoted $129 for cleaning & exam for patient who doesn’t have insurance
When I got there after the doctor checked up my teeth I was quote $144 exam plus $260 cleaning because I have braces on. I was explained about vip pass but it still costs me total $350 for my visit with cleaning.
I am a local not a tourist so I left without cleaning my teeth & I paid $144 for just the exam. Won’t come back
Make sure u ask the price before coming in their door.

The dentist and her assistant are extremely human and kind.

I've been going to this office since 2017. My original dentist left the practice. I have faith in Sage so I took their recommendation for Dr. Candelario. My appointment was given quickly and Lillly and every person I dealt with in person, and on the phone, were consumate professionals.
Candelario was friendly, polite, relaxed. I was very nervous and he saw it right away. He put me at ease and told me without mincing words what needed to be done. I left the office with antibiotics and a decision to make. A week later, I was scheduled for the extraction and Dr. Candelario was amazing. He was so calm and comforting. The numbing injections were only minimally uncomfortable. He has a gentle touch and great bedside manner. Even the extraction was fast and I only felt mild pressure. He told me everything that was going to happen before it happened and this helped to reduce my anxiety. Lilly even called the next day to check in on me after my procedure. The billing and cost was upfront and they even helped me deal with an insurance issue that was my insurers fault. Great experience. Thanks Sage.

I hardly review medical offices but when I do find one that's worth mentioning, I love sharing the wealth. And that's what Sage Dental is. Professional, clean and always keep appointments on time.

I actually found Sage Dental while browsing online and the reviews were decent. It's not even the closest dentist to my home but once I spoke with Lily on the phone, I felt comfortable so made my first my appointment for a diagnosis.

Came in, filled out some paperwork and within 10 minutes, I was admitted. They performed a full x-ray of my teeth then that's when I met Dr. Candelario. Immediately, he made me feel comfortable. He advised me what I needed to do and basically gave me hope to my teeth condition. After his diagnosis, Lily explained to me the treatment plan with costs. So I followed the plan and schedule with my 2nd appointment with the hygienist. This is when I was told that the cost was higher from what I was given during the consultation. I honestly felt a little irritated because I had no choice but to go ahead pay the difference and proceed with the cleaning because I'm already there. The hygienist reassured me that my teeth and gums will be better after the treatments and the extractions performed by Dr. Candelario.

Needless to say, I'm happy with the results so I've been back several times despite the fluctuations with the cost. I just wish that the original treatment plan presented to me were the correct costs per visit because nowadays, I need to stick with a budget and don't want any surprises. But then again, when it comes to my health, unforeseen medical expenses are acceptable as long as the health provider is as good as the Safe Dental team. Trust, it took me years to find a good hygienist and a caring dentist like Dr. Candelario. He's good at his craft.

The team was conscientious, thorough and most importantly, kind. They all made me feel relaxed, which is not the usual sentiment when going one is to see a Dentist. I am so glad that I found Sage. Dr. Benitez is fun, attentive and honest, a true pleasure! The Dental Assistant was patient and always checking on me throughout my visit, simply outstanding.

I had my wisdom teeth removed about a month ago and all everyone at Sage was considerate and attentive to my procedure and the following pains. The dentist even gave me his direct line in case I had any questions or worries (and I had tons). They were so patient with me and made sure I was as comfortable as I could have possibly been. Thanks again to everyone at Sage!

Appointment started on time. Staff and dentist were very knowledgeable and thorough, and the pricing was fair and easy to understand.

I have a emergency when I was visiting my parents for the holidays, next morning I call the location in Miami Beach, i have to say Doctor Gutierrez was amazing he was very patient with me and and performer a great job, I am actually thinking about to come back to this location just let him finish the rest of the procedure, people in the office are professional and very pleasant, thanks

Went for a regular cleaning which the appointment was made over a month in advance, they made me go through all the X-ray BS and consultation so they can make me spend more money then I need to and after one hour there they tell me my cleaning can’t be done and I need to reschedule because cleaning and consultation can’t be done the same day! Are you serious? Why did you wait one month to tell me this? I would have either modified the appointment or never done it so I don’t waste my time. Regardless you lost one patient Sage Dental

I’m typically terrified of the dentist but the staff make it so much easier. Great dentists, great staff, great service.

The professional courtesy extended by this establishment is non existent. I went in for a deep cleaning and my permanent retainers were removed which is understandable. Rather than advising me that my retainers were removed and proceeding to advise me on my next steps, they said nothing.

I noticed retainers were gone and requested to see orthodontist through a referral. Having already been there for 2 hours, they made me wait an additional hour which I did. They brought me in to commence x rays which I did not request (I just needed orthodontist referral). When the lady at the front desk tried to find dates for ortho, she told me they do not re install retainers. My predicament is that my original retainers were installed in North Florida.

They lack respect by making jokes when deep inside this is a serious matter with costs. I am stuck with no retainers and no orthodontist. What hurts is that they were letting me leave without telling me they were removed. It’s a pity that good HONEST service is hard to find; this company is a money pit that cares about making sure they're turning doors are working rather than honest customer retention.
