The dr was very thorough. I had a visit where I left learning information and all my questions answered.

As a new patient of Dr Perez Parra I was very pleased with my appointment. Wait was short and exam was very thorough and informative.

The doctor herself is always very pleasant and helpful. The staff however was very difficult to deal with and it took an extremely long time to get an appointment as I was overdue for my treatment by almost an entire cycle of 90 days by the time I actually got my injections. When I called a few weeks before my appointment I asked if anybody had canceled and they said that they would put me on the cancellation list which I had thought they had put me on a month and a half before but they seemed oblivious to that fact. Attempting to get a hold of the staff in order to speak with somebody under the direction of the doctor is almost impossible and it takes quite a bit of time for them to reach out to you. I was told that it was due to my errors with this happened in getting my prescription. Once my prescription arrived they had no openings for me for 2 months after the initial visit was scheduled. I then drove 4 hours for my appointment after being asked three times electronically to confirm my appointment that it was canceled 4 hours before I was due to arrive. I then had to wait for them to call me and set up another appointment and make the $225 mile drive to their office. They never called me to tell me that they didn't have the medication as they assumed I was bringing it with me. After spending weeks trying to obtain the prescription on my own they then intervened and helped me get my Botox. I just received my latest treatment today so we'll see how the results are in 7 to 10 days.

A good listener, and a good communicator; she takes the time to discuss all important details and answer all questions to make sure the patient and the patient's caregiver understand the condition. She never makes the patient or the caregiver feel rushed, also available through the patient portal, which during off hours is a blessing, as it has helped us during very difficult times. I would recommend Dr. Perez-Parra as a neurologist to anyone who needs a good specialist that is knowledgeable and in touch with the patient's needs.
