There's a special energy within the congregation. People participate not because of obligation but by choice.

During Lent especially, I enjoy the richness of the services.
The Friday evenings (starting at 4: 30 P. M.) Fish Dinner) fund raiser is rare a treat. No cooking for me.

Every church in this area worked
Together for the common good of helping people. I went to various churches in the area and explained the work I have been doing with my own money and with the donations of my friends. Grow and Ocean church both said that this church had a lot of donated bedding and clothing and that I should call them.
I did and at first the lady tried telling me that the donations must stay in Naples and when I repeated her statement in a negative tone because I was disgusted she said no they don't have to be for Naples residents, but that people have to come down to church to fill out forms. I said people who just lost everything including their cars to a flood have no way to come from Harlem Heights in Fort Myers and the lady on phone said sorry that is this church’s policy. What happened to doing what Jesus did and treating the poor with kindness considering you have an abundant of donations. I grew up Catholic and we were not taught this kind of behavior. I volunteered with Saint Vincent DePaul Society and my sister worked for Catholic Charities. There were people starving with the same
Clothes on their back for five days and sleeping on concrete. Then I get this message tonight from someone that got it today. Every other church got that there was a disconnect between what the churches have and where it needs to go
