Salon At 618 reviews
17They have experienced hairdressers who do a good job. Unfortunately, mine was only available on weekdays, so I got a Saturday appointment. I basically had my hair fried in foils by an inexperienced hairdresser to the tune of $300. Months passed and last week I paid the experienced hairdresser $200 to “fix” my damaged hair as best she could. I guess it was beyond help. She cut it shorter to remove the severely damaged ends. They are so high priced and fancy yet I don’t feel very pretty… I wear a pony tail every day and just hide my hair. For me not worth the higher price tag.
This is a beautiful salon. I love all the private rooms because it makes you feel like your services are more personalized. Brittany did a beautiful job with my short hair. Highly recommend her!
It is a delight to get my haircut by Abbi at Salon At 618. It has taken me a while to find someone who I can trust to color and cut my hair. She is professional and works towards your hair goals. I love my hair!
Jackie Morris is amazing! After 13 years, I finally got a haircut and style that made me feel good. I didn't get a pic that's my fault. I didn't even think about it.
Abbi is an unprofessional hairstylist, i don’t recommend her in the slightest, her products are terrible and they wouldn’t even lift my hair, I asked her to give me highlights but my hair looked exactly the same as when I had first got there, if I would’ve dyed my hair at home i would’ve gotten better results and it would’ve only cost me 5$, so disappointed.
Sheena is great and a wizard at coloring hair! She has mastered "the blowout, " and you feel like a glamorous person when you leave!
Abbi is amazing!
I have very long thick hair (past my butt) and I don't go to get my hair done much. I either hate all my haircuts because the stylist cuts too much off or doesn't listen to what I want. I went to Abbi to get a hair trim and highlights and I am so glad I did! She didn't cut too much off, and transformed my hair with beautiful highlights.
Abbi is talented, professional, polite and reasonably priced! I am very picky when it comes to my hair (I liked it the 1st day, hated it for 2 days, and now I love it lol) but Abbi did such a wonderful job and my hair looks and feels so much better!
I DEFINITELY recommend her and I know that I will be going to get my hair done a lot more now that I found Abbi! I absolutely loved my experience and can't wait to go back again! Thank you again Abbi!
P. S. The Salon is also very clean and beautiful. All of the hair stylist I talked to were extremely nice and you definitely feel at home here!
Had a not great experience a few years ago but I am so happy I went back! Best haircut I’ve ever gotten. Jackie was superb! I wish I could give more than 5 stars
I don't normally write reviews, but I felt it was warranted. I saw Jodi several times previously and felt she had done a decent job with what I asked for. However, the most recent time something seemed different with her. She did not listen to what I asked for and my hair turned out much different from what we had discussed. When I tried to talk to her about it after, she was not super receptive to helping me address the issue and told me she wouldn't be able to get me in to help for a couple of weeks. I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she just had a bad day, but the lack of willingness to address the problem after the fact really turned me off from trusting her or the salon with my hair.
I should have written this review weeks ago but let me just say that Brittany Caniff did AMAZING highlights, color and haircut. I had initially gone in for a haircut/ blow dry about 5-6 weeks ago. This was my first visit with Brittany. I did my research and read all the reviews and I could not be happier. She really listened and then gave me a fantastic haircut. After that I knew she would be the right fit for my color/ highlights. I almost fell asleep while she was doing my highlights. It was so relaxing and she clearly knew her color. I had 100% confidence in her and she did not disappoint. My color turned out SOOOOOOOO beautiful. All I can say is Brittany is a true professional, she knows her color and it was really relaxing for me to just let someone have complete control & just knew it would be great. I have had countless compliments on my hair. Establishing a new hairdresser is not a relationship that you take for granted. Believe me you won’t regret entrusting your hair to Brittany. Thank you Brittany! You’re my new hairdresser!
Very cool place, everyone who I've had has been very sweet and my hair looked awesome!
Nice salon, it's well kept. Front desk was kind and greets you as you walk in. They do sell products. You can set up a consultation and meet a stylist that fits you. Or even go on there website and book your time! If Sali is available get in with her she's amazing!
Stefanie was super sweet and professional. She was very attentive and skilled. She was outgoing and easy to talk to. She asked questions and gave suggestions for my hair type. I felt very comfortable in her chair. Everyone in the salon was extremely friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!
Booked my appointment online with Stefanie Holzer for a full hair dye, with partial foil and cut. When I received the appointment confirmation the week prior to my appointment it only stated the partial foil and cut, but not the full color. I contacted the salon before the appointment to confirm that they knew it was for a full color as well. The receptionist who answered the phone confirmed that she did indeed see that in the notes and I should be good in which I thanked her for confirming as I didn't want to show up and not have enough time for everything needed. Now, fast forwarding to my appointment which was scheduled for this past Friday at 10: 00 am. I arrive on time and was greeted by Stefanie who takes me to her chair and proceeds to tell me that she was just now reviewing my notes that morning and unfortunately she won't have enough time to do everything needed as she didn't schedule in enough time. This is exactly what I didn't want to happen. I took my time and energy to book my appointment and fill in the notes, which should have been read a week ago when I booked the appointment. The appointment was accepted by the stylist and she didn't read any of my notes until the morning of said appointment to realize she doesn't have enough time to complete what was requested. Stefanie was not accommodating or apologetic for the misunderstanding and tried to push it off on the receptionist. While I understand things happen, it's the way you conduct yourself in the moment that makes all the difference. I was so upset and felt dismissed, like my time was not important. I was really disappointed as I was looking forward to getting my hair done that morning and had moved several things around to make it happen. Also, that I took my time to call the salon prior to my appointment to confirm that they understood from the notes what I was needing done. I left the salon but returned to ask Stefanie for the Manager's name and Stefanie told me she would have the Manager call me as she was out of town. Stefanie then proceeded to tell me that I could call and speak with her but she wouldn't care. Then she told me "bye, bye" as she made a shooing motion with her hand towards the door and telling me I'll never get my hair done there. I replied "I would never come back" I was so upset with the nonprofessional approach to the whole situation. After further review, it looks like Stefanie Holzer is the owner of the Salon At 618. Very saddened to think this is how someone runs their business.
Jenn is attentive and wonderful! Had a great experience my first time here, I will definitely be coming back to see her. Salons normally give me tons of anxiety, I have a ton of thick long red hair and Jenn knew exactly what to do and how to make me comfortable. The cut was perfect, not too much, the color turned out beautifully. Thanks Jenn!
I have been going to Michelene for 20 years. She only gets better with age (freaking bomb then). Staff is friendly, professional and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing.
Trying to save someone’s hair here. Do NOT go to Jodi! She destroyed my hair when I asked for the most basic haircut, which should be very easy for any hair stylist. One side of my hair is literally SHORTER than the other side and is shaped like the uneven lines of a Christmas tree, while the other is completely straight. She also cut the ends extremely choppy despite me telling her that I just wanted it straight, so she somehow made my hair look thin for the first time in my life. She also cut my hair up to my ears (which is not what I wanted) so I have to wait 9+ months for it to grow it back and then get it cut into a normal shape. At one point, she just started pulling my hair down forcefully when she realized that she had cut it way shorter than I had asked for. The cut was $70+! I honestly could have gotten a better haircut at SuperCuts for $15. I cried for two days after she had cut it. I never expected this kind of quality and regret having ever trusted her with my hair.
