Did you know that anyone can call the police and say that you said that you're suicidal and off you go? My few hours there was enough to make a person suicidal. Rude female staff pick on patients. It's a hallway with beds that's it, nothing to look at nothing to read, A iNightmare Asylum. A full 72 hours would be equivalent to burning in hell. Stay away!

I cannot comment on the beds or other physical aspects of this facility but I can comment on the staff (especially Christine) and the director who NEVER gave up on a family member of mine who was a patient there. Another inpatient facility in town would discharge my family member with a handful of prescriptions and papers without follow up resulting in repeat admissions due to noncompliance. The staff at Saluscare showed true compassion and concern for my family members welfare. I am truly grateful for what they did.

We brought my sister a big lululemon bag with new clothes and her glasses in it for overnight and they never gave it to her. They said they “lost” it and that was their excuse. So she’s been in sweaty clothes and hasn’t been able to see all day. They have cameras everywhere and didn’t look at them for her bag. They will find it or replace the stuff. Will not stop until she gets it back. This is supposed to be a safe environment so someone explain this. Will be calling the police if not resolved. If I could put zero stars, I would.

The only good thing about SalusCare is the groups we had. Also Nurse Bill, Crystal (tech), Iisha (tech), Lily (tech), And Meg (Tech) should get some type of recognition. Besides that there is nothing good about this place. I told the discharge planner that I was not ready to go home, she sent me home and 6 days later I was in the E. R and then sent right back there. 95% of the staff that was there was only there for the money. There were staff that asked you to share your struggles with them so they could turn around and tell other staff. I attempted in there and they waited a grand total of 6 hours to send me to Golisano. I then returned 4 days later and I was put on a 1: 1. They put my "bed" in the hallway and some of the staff would just get up and walk away when they were supposed to be in arms reach away from me. They put you in "Quiet time" from 12-2 so the techs can sit in the hallway and scroll on tiktok. I was having a conversation with someone and a staff member made the comment " If they really wanted to kill themselves they would just do it already". The last time I was there was Sep 18th 2022, Right before Hurricane Ian but I hope with the remodel they changed some things. Also you guys really outdid yourselves with giving patients pillows, maybe access to actual deodorant and not deodorant wipes will be next. Actually toothbrushes should be first.

This place is such a dump the nurses and staff they don’t know what they are doing. They need to be trained and they need to know how to speak to the patients as well really bad experience I will never bring a family member again to this place.

This organization is a 501 3c pipeline. They have no desire or drive to treat disabled children. I was in the process of placing my son in a government facility the rest of his life. It's a long process. They have to find a place for your child. Sometimes out of state. All because they were convincing me this was autism or behavioral.

I told them my son's physical manifestions of psychosis. At that point it was OBVIOUS. His face and eyes were distorted. Pupils dilated/ eyes black. (his eyes are blue) Bottom jaw shaking in unnatural ways. They WOULD not treat my son. They kept blaming autism. I was so terrified that I had an exorcism performed on my son. I knew it WASN'T autism or behavioral. Everything, even his face was different. I had to find an expert with decades of experience to diagnose and treat my son. On something that should have been easy for these "educated" doctors. He checked every box for psychosis yet they still denied it claiming autism. It's seriously concerning their lack of willingness to treat an autistic child in crisis. I pray you all never find yourselves in my situation. With doctors offering your type of "care".

When I was 16 this place filled me with antipsychotic drugs, I stopped going to follow up appointments and refused the medications, and was able to continue with my life as anyone else could. However, due to the drug pushing and unqualified doctors, the medications I was given (mainly seroquel) have left horrible side effect that I am miserable with everyday, 7 years later. I never needed those medications and the only alternative they would give me were benzos or stronger things, which destroyed me mentally. They convinced me I needed these medications. They convinced me I was broken and couldn't be helped. If I didn't step back and refuse their "treatments" I would be nothing but a mindless zombie with no mental capacity. I can't begin to imagine how many lives this prison has destroyed. Keep your loved ones away and get them the help they need.
