This is as authentic as it gets.owned & operated by the wonderful Kim family. They were so kind and sweet to allow me to practice my Korean. Lived in Seoul for 10 years and even if this restaurant was located in Seoul, it would be a favored place there as well. Ordered the Tang su yuk, bibimbap, and mackerel grilled in sesame oil and tteokbokki. They had side dishes and they were amazing as well.
I got a take out order but will def be back for indoor dining. They do have bbq tables for grilling galbi. Def give it a try. The owner, Mrs. Kim will aid you in grilling so don't be shy to ask for help.
We missed the lunch menu by 5 minutes and were so satisfied with the dinner menu. The sushi was fresh. The green tea was a good blend and a great compliment to the Dinner pick 5 assortment. We tried beef bulgogi, braised short ribs, braised shrimp, and Korean barbecue chicken. The veggie sampler was a great assortment.
The service was good and the venue was welcoming. We especially enjoyed the modern music. Lovely experience.
Wonderful place to eat delicious Korean food, probably the best Korean BBQ I've been to. Can't recommend the spicy pork bulgogi enough and excellent kimchi as well. Fantastic service too. The waitresses are so pleasant and make sure you're taken care of. Been here twice so far and plan to keep coming back.
Amazing Staff, Food, and Atmosphere! I feel like I'm at home when I come here! The staff is so polite and nice! 10/10 I would recommend!
The food is nothing short of amazing! Everyone that works there is very friendly and attentive.
Perfect place to try Korean food. I have not visited South Korea, but it feels authentic. You will find a good number of asian patrons, which attest for quality and authenticity. They have a fairly large menu, so you will have plenty of options. I went for the sirloin on Korean souce. It came with an assortment of sides. It was an enjoyable dish. The size was good for my appetite. The prices. A little too high, maybe? Paying for the authentic experience? The restaurant is very casual and the service very friendly. I would come back to try more options. Definitely a place to consider if you are in the mood to experience Asian food.
I loved this place sooooo much! The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent! Will come back!
Was delicious! The Bulgogi, Tteok Bokki, and Seafood Pajeon were delicious! My new favorite restaurant. I like how the bring out many sides with the Bulgogi as you have a different taste with the meat. The kimchi was good, not spicy.
Came here for mother's days the food and service was great. Had a family run homey vibe. We ordered tteokbokki, seafood pancake, kimchi rice, kimchi pork, bulgogi, and sushi. Besides the sushi (rice was over cooked), everything was great we left very happy
Amazing Korean food! This is our go to spot for authentic Korean! The service is amazing and the owner/manager was very attentive to us and treated us like family. The seafood jamppong, fried chicken, and black bean noodle was delicious! If you want home-cooked authentic Korean with amazing service this is the place.
Best Korean food I’ve had since I visited Korea! The employees are very nice and always there when you need them. Let’s just say the glass is never empty.
We ordered through Uber Eats and got the kimchi fried rice, the black bean noodles, and the tteok-bokki. The kimchi fried rice on the menu says “made with aged kimchi, pork, and vegetables (kimchi, shrimp, chicken, beef) ” and on Uber eats there was no way to pick a protein. Ours came with pork and no kimchi at all. Not even a flavor of kimchi. The veggies were peas and carrots and there was also multiple bones in the pork. The black bean noodles were also supposed to come with pork but only had veggies, no meat at all. The sauce tasted like liquid smoke and had a very unpleasant after taste. The tteok-bokki was genuinely very delicious lol. Maybe this place is only good for actual BBQ. Very disappointing experience
Edited to add that the tteok-bokki was $10 for half a mini soup to go container. I know it doesn’t cost that much to make.
Lovely service and the food is amazing! 10/10 would recommend? If it’s your first time having Korean food, I definitely recommend ordering the Bugogi!
We’re new to Jacksonville so we thought we’d try out Korean bbq in the area. When we walked in, the place was completely empty. I was a little nervous at first, especially since we’re not from here- but to my surprise, everything we tried was amazing! This will surely be a place we come to whenever we’re in the mood for kbbq. I believe it’s a family owned restaurant and that the son was our waiter- he was helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the pork fried mandu, marinated short ribs, jumulreok, and the beef bulgogi. Keep in mind you’ll have to cook yourself. I’m not sure about their other menu items but the bbq selection is 10/10 for what they offer. The only downside is that there seem to be only 4 tables with bbqs, not really an issue though considering it wasn’t busy but I’m sure you can also just call and reserve to be certain you’ll have a spot.
I lived in Korea for two years and am always looking for good Korean food when I visit larger cities. I've only done takeout from Sam Won Garden, but, based on that, I look forward to when I can dine-in. The food was wonderful and came out hot and fresh, which is important to me when ordering takeout. I cannot get enough of the mandu or the japchae. My husband says the Bulgogi was very good. The sides that they provided with the Bulgogi were also delicious. Highly recommend!
Delicious and fast! Very welcoming, left full and so satisfied. Everyone who loves Korean needs to hit this place up
Not the most aesthetic restaurant but the most authentic in terms of a piece of korean culture. The restaurant is family-owned and the food seems to be a home-cooked style. The food is very authentic coming from a Korean, and the owner, Kim, is very attentive and kind to all customers
OMG! My new favorite place! Authentic Korean cooking! This was so good I will be returning. Frequently. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They work well together and take care of the customers. The food was tasty and beautiful.
