Love this place for fresh seafood! Nice experience and the only issue I really have is when they run low on seafood and don't have enough inventory.

Great fish selection with reasonable prices. The kids in the front are very knowledgeable about all the different species. My new favorite fish spot.

The FRESHEST! This is a great place to get your seafood. No contact delivery to your trunk. I bought lobsters pre-paid. The receipt even told me the name of the traps. Very much recommended!

We love Sammy's Seafood! We come here most weekends to pickup fresh seafood to cook at home. Friendly staff. Melinda always takes care of us at the counter! We've been coming here the last couple of years since we found out about them.glad we did!

I really like going here. They have a weekly mailing list to let you know what came it. I especially like the variety of oysters that come in and trying them from different regions.

This is THE place for seafood! Fresh local fish in abundance. Also specials at times like lobster, oysters, crab cakes, smoked fish. You can even get 5 lb bags of wild shrimp frozen right on the boat. The staff knows their stuff and they are always ready to help. This is not a grocery store this is the real deal Fish House!

Jay Burroughs was working here back when he and I were dating I remember one night I came to bring him cigarettes and a lil special green gift for him to have on his break and he showed me the inside and how cold it was and stinky.lol I don't miss the smelly laundry though just miss him.

Poor customer service from employee to owner, will not stand by product. Lost me as a customer today.
On December 22,2018, I purchased two 4lb boxes of frozen head on U10 shrimp for $31.80 per box. I took them home an put one box in the freezer and one box in the refrigerator to defrost and be ready to cook on December 24th in time to serve Christmas day.

On the 24th I took my shrimp out, deveined and cleaned them and cooked them approximately 3 minutes. As they cooled, I started to peel them and found a majority of the shrimp to be completely mushy. This is typically a result of shrimp that has been defrosted and refrozen more than once. I could not serve them.

I called Sammy’s on the 24th and left a message about what happened with my name and number and said I would be returning the shrimp after Christmas. On the 26th I called and spoke with an employee explaining the story. He said that I would need to speak with the retail manager, who was on break. He took my name and number and said she, Melinda, would call me back within 10 minutes and take care of me. I waited over an hour and a half without a call back. I never got a call back from my message on the 24th as well.

I packed up the cooked shrimp and the frozen box of shrimp and went to Sammy’s, with my receipt. I explained I was expecting Melinda, the manger to call, she blew me off with a quick, “I was busy”. The store was empty. I explained the whole story. She asked how I cooked them, how long I cooked them. I told her and she said she would have to get the owner. She goes in the back and said he’ll be out. He never came out.

She then tells me I need to have the box and the shells so she can weigh them before she can give me my money back. I said you could have told me that if you bothered to call me first. Now, you want me to home and go dumpster diving for the shrimp shells and the box? She said Yes. I asked her to give me my money for the frozen box before I leave, she did, a little reluctantly.

I went back to my house got the box and shrimp shells out of the dumpster, and I drive back to Sammy’s. Dare I say I was livid. When I get back Melinda is outside, and stands in front of the door and says the owner will not give you a refund on cooked shrimp. So, I said I need to speak with him. We walk inside and she says I have to wait because the owner is interviewing someone. I waited a long time.

Meanwhile I asked where is the bag of shrimp I left here. She tells me she threw them away. I said you better go get them. She looked at me and asked you want me to get them out of the garbage? I told her absolutely. The owner finally gets done with his interview and says he will not give the money back.

I asked him to try one of the shrimp. He says I am not going to eat one of those, they were in the garbage. I said they were in my refrigerator until today, your manager threw them away before I got back. I was following her instruction. He would not return my money.

I believe that the box shrimp had been mishandled prior to me purchasing it.

I feel if the owner is not going to stand by his product quality, I should at least get a refund for the shrimp I paid for that his manager threw in the garbage and did not bother to show him.
