San Jose's Original Mexican Restaurant reviews
28Best Mexican food in Clermont. The service is always good. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is fun.
Provided excellent service from Melissa. Food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean restaurant. Definitely recommend
Great place with swift service, great food, decoration, and also still wears masks even though we have vaccinations which is good for the unvaccinated! Five stars on everything there.
Amazing, food good prices! Always consistent. Always see the same people working when I go, which is a good thing. The servers are always friendly. If you decide to get take out, it's just as good as when you eat there and they do a great job getting the order correct! Try "The Volcan" it the best thing I've had there!
As always service was excellent from the greeter/hostess to the waitress even to the people as you leave saying goodbye this place truly has never been disappointing. Food is always prepared exactly how I ask for it to be.
Loved the food.everything was fresh and yummy. Staff were friendly and quick. When we were ready to leave, had our take out ready to go.
Best Mexican food in the area! I can't get enough of the authentic cuizine. My husband and I come here at least 3 times a month!
Sub-par food. I know this place has lots of fans but we can't figure out why! We have given it a try a couple of times and it had been mediocre at best.
I've been going to San Jose's ever since they just had one tiny little restaurant on 50, near Pine Hills. We used to drive from Clermont just to go there. So, when they opened their Clermont location, we were THRILLED! I've taken every friend, family member, or whomever, and everyone has agreed that it's some of the best Mexican food they've had. I get the Burritos Texanos with Grilled Chicken and Fresh Jalapenos, but the Fajitas are money too, and so is just about everything else I've ever tried. Try a Top Shelf Margarita, but be prepared to have a designated driver because they DO NOT mess around when it comes to their drinks! Enjoy!
We really like this restaurant for Mexican food. They say some things a little different that sets them apart from the standard Mexican restaurant. They include more veggies then just your typical pepper and onions into dishes. They drinks are amazing and always timely with orders.
It took forever to be seated, the waitress forgot about the table, then she brought the wrong alcoholic drink and when I finally got my drink it was like it was premade and very very weak. Then I ordered a custard and she forgot about that too. The food was ok but nothing above normal. I won't ever go back to this place! (I've been a waitress so I have a lot of patience when it comes to these things, but this was not even acceptable).
Don’t go on a Friday! Poor service
Called in an order at 5: 30, they told me ready in 30 minutes. Showed up at 6: 05 and waited. Finally got my food at 6: 45.
People who came in and sat down after I arrived were eating before I got our call in order.
Great little local place! Good food, excellent margarita's, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced
We sat on the side with the bar (not by choice) and we couldn't eat. We were fighting flies away the entire time, they landed in our food and on our straws. When we told the waitress that we were no longer interested because the flies she only replied with "oooohhh, ok. ". She proceeded to leave our cheese with the flies inside on our table, then took her sweet time getting our check so we could leave. Not to mention the music was so loud I could barely hear my husband.
Tuesday nights here are nuts. Actually had to wait 10 mins to get a table. Food is great & affordable. They also have drink specials that don't break the bank. Great Mexican food.
Every time my husband and I go to San Jose's for date night it's a wonderful evening. The food is fabulous, the service is top notch, and the prices are great. It was very busy, yet we still only waited 10 minutes for a table. I had the fajitas this time. I have tried everything save a few items on the menu and everything is fantastic. My husband says the salsa is the best he's ever had. If you're looking for a great little Mexican restaurant, look no further!
Great food but you'll need to be patient. It's been at least a 30 minute wait for food every time, not including the wait to be seated. We've even called in a dinner order an hour in advance and still had to wait over 30 minutes when I got there.
Probably one of the better Mexican restaurants outside of Disney we've been to in the area. The food was decent and fresh, though I expected more umph from the mole. Drinks were in point and all at a decent price. Would've liked to see it a but cleaner though, hence the notch of the one star.
I've been looking for ye olde classique Mexican restaurant since we moved here from Kentucky three years ago and I finally found my favorite restaurant
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, especially on Sunday with the live Mariachi Band. The food is always great quality with good prices (plus solid margaritas). I know it's kind of weird, but I'm absolutely addicted to their Hawaiian Nachos.
