Sand Key Lighthouse reviews
5 Unforgettable experience, we came here with sunset watersports and it was so nice.
I was afraid of some stuff because see is scary.but beautiful.
The long video is funny.
My bf says that he saw a fish pooping.
Came by sailboat and stayed the night on a mooring ball. Beautiful coral & fish seen when snorkeling. Came back a few days later and the waves can definitely alter visibility
We snorkeled the reefs around the lighthouse. There are several charters that will take you out there. Our happened to be a Groupon, 2 for $50 including complimentary drinks. Saw a barracuda, several times surrounded by schools of fish, there was a nice diversity of fish. It appears that the reef is slowly dying unfortunately. Still a very enjoyable trip!
We took this excursion as a package but included snorkeling at the reef. This was so sad as it was more a reef graveyard. Too many people, no concern or protection for the coral or environment as most were dead, abused, or broke. We have gone snorkeling all over the world on family vacations and never saw a reef in this kinda shape.
Very cool place to snorkel and plenty of charters to take you. I would definitely recommend it.
