Sand Lake Animal Clinic, Orlando FL

LOVE this vet! I’ve never had a bad experience here with any of the staff. All of the front desk staff always remember us (my dog has made us visit quite a bit…). We always ask to see Dr. Brits and she is so wonderful. She truly cares about our pets and you can tell she loves what she does!

My 3 review is for the front desk staff of this vet clinic. We've been coming here for at least 7 years and today We spent 700 Today on dog care. The vet, dr Rivera, was awesome and great as always. The front desk staff, one lady with dark hair and glasses. In particular had a bad attitude with me. I am assuming it's because I called to see how long we would have to wait in the car to see the vet, the dog and my husband were getting Anxious
The veterinary staff are awesome but they need attitude adjustments in the front desk staff that deal with the clients

Excellent pet care and a very nice facility. Dr. Nash is so easy to talk with about our pooch's condition. We'll be back!

Being fairly new to the area we were in search for a new vet. After reading some reviews we decided to give Sand Lake Animal Clinic a try. The facilty is very clean and well kept. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. Our last visit we saw Dr. Rivera. He is a very thoughtful, kind and compassionate doctor. I would recommend this facility

We are so happy with Sand Lake Animal Clinic! Dr. Brits and the team are so warm and welcoming, and have taken great care of my kitten Finnegan. The first vet clinic we went to was a far cry from the professional and friendly bedside manners and interactions I've found here. The office is beautiful and clean as well. Thank you for all you guys do!

The staff is Very knowledgeable on international travel and very responsive to finding out answers to my questions.
Dr Rod is absolutely a Dr Doolittle he talks with my Service Dog, reassures Atlas and I and has great bed side manner.

My family has been coming to SLAC for over 20 years with both our personal fur babies as well as many fosters. They’ve truly become extended members of the pack. We’ve never been disappointed by the quality of care, compassion, and professionalism here, and absolutely love their generosity towards rescues. It is so reassuring to have a trusted provider for our beloved pups. The only thing that could make SLAC better is longer hours - if coming here is an option, it will always be our top choice.

We have been taking our pets here for decades. These guys are amazing. We have been with Dr. Spurgeon the longest so he is our favorite but everyone is fabulous. They really care and are willing to go the extra mile. They tell you like it is but in a kind compassionate manner and lay out all of your options.

We love Dr. Davies! I’ve cycled through 3 other vets in in the Orlando area, and I’ve finally found someone I trust. She never makes me feel rushed through the appointment, and ensures that all of my questions are answered. She’s helped make my dog with heart disease more comfortable, and helped treat my younger dog for allergy issues.

Overall, the staff is friendly and patient, and I normally don’t have to wait too long to see the doctor. Their hours offer decent flexibility, and I never have an issue scheduling an appointment a few days ahead of time.

My reason for taking one star off is their prices. I’ve been to several vets over the last 5 years (most in a state that generally has higher veterinary cost) and Sand Lake Animal Clinic is by far the most expensive I’ve ever been too. I still choose to come here because I trust our vet, appreciate their customer service, and the location is convenient. However, for routine things like vaccines, bloodwork/heartworm testing…I choose to go elsewhere due to cost. I still highly recommend Sand Lake Animal Clinic in terms of quality and service, but be aware that their pricing is substantial as a result.

My six year old golden doodle, Westly, passed last week unexpectedly, and in an emergency. I brought him to Sand Lake animal clinic simply because it was the closest vet near me. Not only did they handle the emergency like true professionals, every single employee in that office, put their full effort and attention into myself, my family, and treating Westly. I cannot thank them all enough for their care, and how they handled the situation. Although he could not be saved, every single person at this office showed empathy and compassion that I’ve never seen before. They should be the gold standard for veterinary care. Just today I also received a card in the mail personally signed by everybody in the office, even the owner, saying that they are sorry for my loss.everything about this office is amazing, they are angels on earth. Thank you again.

My new favorite vet for all my pets! They are the kindest, most professional, and all-around best at all of what they do.
I went in after my regular vet was not able to see my rabbit today. I've never been here before, and they welcomed me in to have stitches taken out. When I went to check out, I was told everything was good for me to go. We are on a tight budget at the moment, and this helped so much!

I've been going to this vet for 30 years and will continue to go as long as I have dogs. The staff is wonderful and every Dr. I've been to has been professional and caring.
They recently expanded the building and it is much nicer both in the waiting room and exam rooms.

Made an appointment by phone with the lovely Shaina, who was compassionate about the nature of the call. My cat was seen the very next morning after a very short wait in the lobby. The exam was prompt, informative and they were gentle and kind to my animal. Mochi was given an antibiotic shot for her foot booboo and some oral painkillers. I intend to make this her primary veterinarian and highly recommend them.

When I had concerns about my senior cat, I called Sandlake Animal Clinic. They were able to accept walk-ins, and I didn't wait more than 45 minutes to have my cat seen. They were friendly and kind. Dr. Stone listened to my concerns and offered numerous suggestions and support. Although my cat passed away a few days later, I do trust that I had gone to them sooner rather than my previous vet that my cat would have had a better quality end of life care and medication. I'm thankful for Dr. Stone and I would recommend bringing your pets here.

I called this clinic when my Riot had a small emergency, and the staff was very kind to get us in within the hour. Dr. McKinnerney saw us promptly, did a thorough examination, and got Riot patched up in no time with minimal stress. The staff were all so kind and accommodating. It was our first visit to this clinic, but we will definitely be back for routine checkups and vaccines!

Great vet. Office. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The renovations look fantastic and allow for a much bigger waiting area. Service as always is excellent. Highly recommend this place.

We love SLAC! The staff and doctors are wonderful people who actually care about your fur baby from the moment they walk in to the moment they leave. I’m so grateful to have found such a fantastic animal clinic. Especially since my dog is part gremlin and enjoys eating socks as a hobby. ‍️ Special shoutout to Dr. Davis and Dr. Stone for being absolute rockstars!

I have been seeing Dr. Nash for many years. I would not trust my dogs to anyone else. He has always been so kind, compassionate, knowledgeable - just an amazing man and an incredible vet. I cannot express my gratitude to him. I have never had one visit where he hasn’t been unbelievably attentive, patient and kind. The entire front office staff is friendly, welcoming and wonderful. I would not trust any other animal clinic in the area for my babies. I also want to thank and commend Dr. Rivera who also is incredibly kind and compassionate. Both Dr. Nash and Dr. Rivera are completely empathetic, understanding and patient. They understand if you get emotional and they understand how much you love your pets. Both are so hard-working, skilled and dedicated. You will not find anyone better anywhere. I mean that wholeheartedly. I would give 100 stars if I could.
