13 tax paying citizens were in court today as observers for the Alicia and Roddy Kincheloe case, they tortured a racoon. We have been following this case and going to every court appearance since August 2022. For the first time Alicia actually was in the courtroom. We were told to leave. This is unacceptable.
As taxpayers we have the right to sit in on any court cases we choose.
I believe our rights were infringed upon

Accommodations for jury duty could be improved. I really think they should supply free water and coffee and atleast a little snack for people who have to spend all day there. Someone from admin: could you please recruit someone with a coffee cart outside or taco stand atleast?

I have to say I was very aware of the people who have arthritis or other reasons who didn’t have lunch because it was too far to walk it’s not worth it to try to find a lunch place. There was some mention of some list somewhere where you could order food but I had no idea where that was. Could they pass the list around while everyone waits in their chairs maybe?
Also seriously, you guys turn off the air conditioner when there are 80 plus people crammed into a room? And the icing on the cake is being called out by the judge in front of everyone for fanning myself. I feel sorry for any middle aged woman having to sit there and deal with a hot room and being called out on that. 15.00 a day and no lunch or even water or coffee is not worth it. It really seemed like we were the ones in jail. And then to be singled out in front of everyone for being hot is seriously crossing the line. Btw I also have thyroid cancer so that can make a person hot and cold but for half of the day there was no air. I’m surprised you didn’t have to call paramedics that combined with all the talk about weapons and blood etc.we live in one of the richest countries in the world and cities -atleast temporarily with shutting down the pipeline, raising gas prices, rent that’s too high for the average person and no affordable housing- can we at least have some air and water?
