Walked out after waiting 1.5 hr, reception ask 3x who I was. She forgot to check me in. Listen to older women behind counter treat customers aggressively. Just read previous reviews seems to be par for course for front staff behavior.

They do a great job but procedures and meds are very expensive. I will probably shop around to see if anyone is cheaper or if this is the norm. I have been using them for at least 12 years.

This was my first time at Sarasota Veterinary. The entire staff from the reception staff, to the vet techs, to the veterinarian, everyone was so kind, patient and accommodating. I really appreciated the clean and efficient office environment. Everyone who works there is such a beautiful human being who really cares for not only the animals, but the community too. And let’s face it, veterinarians are adept and helping diagnose physical issues for animals but they are also very good therapists offering support and creating a caring space for the human owners of the pets as well. Big Red the cat and I are eternally grateful for all the assistance we received from Sarasota Veterinary Center.

This place is a rip off don’t go in there unless you plan on spending at least $300 it doesn’t matter what the problem is, I took my dog there for a slight limp so they did blood work which they said came back great and gave me some medication which worked. I had a follow up visit 3 weeks later and the vet said if the limp comes back they will have to put him on the medication for a little bit longer, because it’s probably arthritis, so about 3 weeks later he started limping again slightly so I took him back hoping they were just going to look at him and give me more medication instead they wanted to do some more blood work when he already did blood work about 2 months earlier for the same problem and all they did was give me the same pills again. I felt taken advantage of there is no reason to do blood work twice in two months like the dog had some chronic illness or something and on top of that the first vet I saw told me if he starts limping again they will have to put him on the medication for a little bit longer. I definitely was taken advantage of and lie to. (I ASKED THE VET WHAT IS NSAID SHE SAID ITS THE BLOOD WORK, WHICH ONE OF YOU ARE LYING? BECAUSE THE MEDICATION WAS A SEPERATE PRICE ON THE RECEIPT, EITHER I GOT CHARGED FOR TWO MEDICATIONS AND ONLY RECIEVED ONE AND NO ACTUAL BLOODWORK WAS DONE OR YOUR STAFF JUST MAKE STUFF UP ON THE FLY. AND IF YOU GUYS DO THE BLOOD WORK TO MAKE SURE HIS LIVER CAN TAKE IT LIKE YOU SAID WHY DO IT ON THE FIRST VISIT? WHAT IF THE MEDICATION WORKS AND THERES NO NEED FOR A SECOND VISIT BECAUSE I WAS CALLED BACK AN HOUR AFTER I LEFT AND WAS TOLD HIS BLOOD WORK CAME BACK FINE BEFORE HE EVEN TOOK HIS FIRST PILL SO WHAT KIND OF GAME ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING WITH PEOPLE

We love Dr. Johns! Our Penny is a spicy potato during her vet visits. Dr. Johns is very calm and gets her in and out with as minimal stress to her as possible. She also takes the time to listen to all our concerns and questions. It took a while to find a vet we trusted when we relocated to Sarasota, SO happy we found her. I should also mention the great staff as well, always kind and helpful.

Dr. Johns saved my cats life and I will be forever grateful! She’s amazing. We will never take our cats to another vet, our kitties will only come here for the rest of their lives. The vets here truly love animals and really care about their health and wellbeing. The vet techs are so sweet and they take such great care of our kitties. The front desk girls are awesome, too! The entire staff here are all just so wonderful and I can’t thank them enough for saving my girls life. I tell everyone to bring their pets here, because they’re the best!

The staff and Dr’s are amazing! I can’t say enough how their customer service is one of a kind. Highly recommend them!

Without exception, the staff is helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the practice today, as our Vet, and he was amazing and reassuring about the care and well-being of our puppy Pete.

I have been taking both of dogs there since they were puppies and the doctors and the front desk always so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. They have always accommodated me whenever my dogs get sick unexpectedly. I love the new clinic and decor.

Great staff and veterinarians. Very helpful and compassionate. Unfortunately a little expensive. But I love this office.

Nala likes going to the vet and they treat her like royalty! Thank you, it makes a lot easier to take her and I appreciate the care given.

Awesome Vet Clinic. I had tried another vet in town and was not satisfied with their care. From the moment I entered the clinic, it was a great experience. The ladies up front were so warm and welcoming. I had trouble finding someone who could groom my cat while under sedation. They did a beautiful job! The doctor gave a very thorough examination and called to make sure everything was ok the next day. I highly recommend.

I'm extremely grateful that I found Sarasota Veterinary Center through a mailer. My elderly cat was not feeling well. He was able to be seen the very morning I called. From the moment we walked into the office, had a very welcoming feeling. I had been very anxious with worry but we both got a calming feeling just by the surroundings we were in. The entire staff was professional & kind, he is now on the road to recovery. I highly recommend for loved furbabies to be cared for by this Veterinarian Center. Their concern for animals is obvious in the way they tend to their fur patients. Thank you to your ENTIRE STAFF

I highly recommend Sarasota veterinary center to everyone, all staff and doctors go above and beyond with caring and professional, I love all of them they been taking care of my 2 dogs and cats they are the best, excellent service

Staff are always friendly, the clinic is always so clean and our doggo doesn't mind going to get his check ups! (he wasn't fond of where we used to take him)

We always appreciate the wonderful care that you give to our 2 dogs Avery and Riley especially, when we go away and board them and when you groom Riley! I'm sure he says after the grooming, "who turned on the air conditioning? " I always spread the word about your incredible facility, the great veterinarians, assistants, groomers and other employees that work there, to my friends and guests that stay in our 7 vacation rental properties on our 20 acre equine ranch here in Sarasota called "Bits Of Paradise Ranch". Again, thank you all for all your efforts, kindness and care with our animals.
