Waste of money. We were told to arrive 1/2 before departure. Boat was 15 minutes late to the dock (thus waited for 45 min) Boat then had mechanical problems. Boat departure 35 minutes late into the 1 hr trip. Saw a few dolphins and then instead of following other dolphins further away the driver chose to ride the waves at high speed instead. Driver was inexperienced, during this speed part of the ride as he did not trim the boat so all one saw was the sky, guest in front of you, and top of boat. Not trimming boat resulted in extremely unnecessary rough ride. Despite the late start, driver returned to the dock after 40 minutes of the 1 hour ride we paid for.

Bad experience. Boat showed up 15 minutes late. We got out on the water 35 minutes late after signing paperwork. He ran into a post trying to get out of slip, backed up to try again and then it wouldn't go into gear. Fiddled around with that for another 5 minutes, but couldn't get it into Reverse. Took us out anyway. We saw a few dolphins. He cut the cruise short and brought us back early. Would not recommend.

Had the best time on the Screaming Eagle. Saw several dolphins. Best time to go is in the morning. Captain and crew were all super nice and helpful. Definitely would book this when we come back next year.

Excellent experience! We had the pleasure of joining captain Brad on a fireworks cruise on the Fourth of July…it was AMAZING! Everyone was super laid-back and check in was very easy. We enjoyed our time on the boat with Captain Brad, he had tons of information and great stories! Thank you!

Awesome Dolphin Cruise aboard Screaming Eagle! Captain Billy is hilarious and worth the trip just to meet him. We rode out to the Gulf and found tons of dolphins then cruised through Crab Island for sunset. All while keeping everyone safe and smiling the whole ride! 10/10 highly recommend this excursion for your family vacation to Destin!

Had a fun time with Captain Billy and first mate Logan! It was such a chill cruise and we saw some dolphins! I have a video of a family of dolphins but would not let me post on here. This was the highlight of our day in Destin. Will definitely be back for more!

This was our first boat ride and we had the time of our lives. Very friendly atmosphere and we saw plenty of dolphins. Definitely will ride again when visiting.

Our family had a PHENOMENAL time on The Screaming Eagle with Captain Billy. We were able to see so many dolphins and even baby dolphins. At one point we actually got to see a baby dolphin jump.
Our whole family left the boat feeling as though we had just experienced a once-in-lifetime experience.
We felt truly grateful to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, and we got to do so in a pretty cool boat. Captain Billy ended the trip with a fast yet fun ride back.
My husband had his “need for speed” satisfied and my kids and I enjoyed seeing the MANY dolphins.

If you’re in Destin this is a must-do!

We had a great time on this dolphin thrill ride! Friendly service, fast boat, and well…. Dolphins. In the words of my 6 year old nephew “AWESOME! ”

Sno cones to follow and some great food recommended by the kind folks at Screaming Eagle.

Good balance between the super expensive 6 people boats and the giant 50+ people boats. Saw lots of dolphins and got a speedboat ride.

I had the best experience with Screaming Eagle! We saw TONS of dolphins and the crew was super friendly and accommodating to our group. I cannot recommend this dolphin cruise enough! I have been on a few others in previous years and this is by far the best in Destin! There is also a sno cone stand right on their dock which was super refreshing after our trip!

Check in was super simple and easy. If you have children under 6 they will require they wear a life vest. You will need to sign a form before getting on the boat.

Capt Billy and Logan were an amazing team. They we both super friendly. Capt Billy shared about a ton of things tondo in the area between Destin, Pensacola and Panama City. He also shared a lot about the dolphins and some good eats on the boardwalk. The boat does go really fast so prepare your kids. I didn't tell them about my boys sensitivity to noise but we brought hearing protection with us just in case it got loud. You may get wet you are on a boat. My oldest son loved the wild in the beginning and end. He said it was very much like a roller coasters only more wild.

We saw a couple different pods of dolphins with a few babies. They dolphins were surfing behind us several times. There was shark following some of the dolphin pods trying to find an opportunity to catch some fish.

Highly recommend the dolphin sunset tour with Screaming Eagle Sports. Family-friendly boat tour that was thrilling for those young & old! Crew went out of their way to make sure we saw dolphins and had them surfing in our wake.

We had a wonderful time with Captain Billy. He was friendly, hilarious, and very personable. The entire staff was kind and welcoming. Our 3.5 yo loved every second of it. Saw several pods of dolphins and went for a fun ride. We will definitely be booking again when we come to Destin next!

We had so much fun today dolphins watching. Captain Billy was awesome. We even got to see 3 little baby dolphins! Definitely recommend to do in Destin. The boat goes fast, my 4 year old LOVED it! Thank you guys again!

Billy and Victoria were AWESOME! Our boat was delayed a little bit but they made up for it. ABSOLUTE STUNNING sunset and they made sure we saw dolphins. Id rate a 10

Great tour and friendly crew. Captain got dolphins to surf boat wake and they showed off. My grands were so excited.

Screaming Eagle definitely has the potential to offer a great cruise. Unfortunately, they don't have the commitment to do so. My sister and I took a dolphin cruise on the Screaming Eagle in late September. Trent was very friendly at check-in and was generally helpful throughout the cruise. We got off to a good start-the boat is fast and can offer a really fun ride and we saw a number of dolphins pretty quickly, although none of them were particularly close. The captain decided to cruise west along the shore, but then the boat slowed, then stopped. The captain was giving directions to Trent to try to get the engine started again, but no go. The captain had to go back to work on the engine to try to get it going. We sat there waiting patiently. Finally, after 18 minutes, he was able to get the engine started. We assumed that he would make up that lost time and continue on with the cruise. We knew there was no rush to return since I was told that morning that this would be the only trip of the day. We would have also understood if he said that it was too risky to continue the tour because of the engine problems and offered a partial refund. Instead, the captain gave no explanation and offered no apology. He just turned the boat around and headed straight back. I even called out (I was sitting directly behind him) that there were dolphins right next to the boat, and he didn't even slow down for a moment to give us a chance to watch them. We returned to the dock 1 hour and 2 minutes after our departure for a 1 hour tour. Since 18 minutes were spent just sitting there doing nothing, and that's nearly 1/3 of the tour, we felt that we didn't get a full tour. We talked to several of the other passengers after we got off the boat and they were also stunned that the captain didn't say anything about the lost time caused by the mechanical failure or make any attempt to tack that time onto the end of the cruise. My sister has called several times since that day and left messages explaining the situation and asking for a partial refund, but there has been no response. A business owner should always try to do right by their customers, but the management at Screaming Eagle Sports apparently lacks the integrity to do what's right. Save yourself the headache and disappointment and cruise with another company.

Update 10/14/21 The business owner did contact me after reading my review and said she had been unable to respond to the previous messages because she had been out for several weeks with COVID and she offered a full refund, which is more than we had requested. Considering the circumstances, I'm withdrawing my comments about the business being unresponsive and have added back a star.

Loved it! Had a great time! Maybe better to go earlier in the morning when the water is more clear and calm. We still had a blast!
