Seal Swim School, Tarpon Springs FL

Seal Swim School really does a good job. It is tough to manage young children and all young children are different. The instructors do the best they can.

We love love love this swim school. Our son has been swimming there for 3 years and at 5 years old is swimming the the entire length of an Olympic pool. Not only has he learned about water safety and getting the wall, but has also learned butterfly and back stroke along with freestyle. We love this place and the family you become apart of when you sign up.

All three of my littles have learned to swim at Seal Swim School and we just love all the instructors and the results we have seen with each child. My 2 year old has been all smiles at each lesson and is always eager to get in the water and swim with Miss Riley and Miss Ella. What he has learned is invaluable and we are so grateful he can now swim across the length of our pool, doing turnovers for air, and can get the wall if he falls in the pool. I will continue to recommend Seal Swim School to anyone I know with kids because they always produce results and the instructors are truly invested in their success. We love Seal Swim! My daughter has been swimming with them for 2 years now. She is almost 3 and can safely get out of our pool and loves putting on her flippers to swim and dive for rings. As an adult I also started lessons to work on my strokes and improve my exercise routine! We look forward to learning more!

They are always amazing with kids! My oldest is now 7 and attended seal swim school for a few sessions. He was swimming like a fish at the age of 3. Now, my current 3 year old had an amazing session with Mr. Colt. Mr Colts personality was such a great fit for my outgoing child. My son couldn’t wait for his swimming lessons and enjoyed learning new things from him. We look forward to joining another session in the near future.

First off I’ll say that the instructor was really good but my complaint is with the business practice here. The cost to go to this school for my 3 year old was over $300 in June 2022. He wound up doing half decent in the class so we decided to sign him up for the next session since slots were being filled quickly (August 2022 since July was already filled). In the last week my son had an accident on the pool. Their policy was that we needed to purchase their $20 swim diaper for him to keep him in the class. Since there was only 2 classes left we decided to just keep him out. I get it, there’s a policy. After my wife and I talked it over we decided to put him in a different school where the instructor will come to the house and use your own pool for the lessons. We called SSS to ask for a refund of the classes not starting for another 2 months to which they replied they would credit the account but not issue a refund. This wasn’t what we wanted because we were taking him out so the lady on the phone told us she would speak with her manager and see what they could do. We get a call back a little while later saying that they would refund the money but that now, not only my son, but any siblings he may have are now banned for life and we’re not allowed to go back. We found this a bit comical since we had no intention of going back anyway and what makes it even more hysterical is that now we are telling all our friends and family at how ridiculous this is that they acted this way. Why would you guys not just refund the money and say have a nice day but instead issue a lifetime ban as well? This doesn’t seem like good business practice to me.

Seal Swim School is the best! Runs like a well-oiled machine. The management truly cares about kids and it shows in how they check-in with parents and kids regularly, and make adjustments to coach assignments as needed. SSS coaches balance perfectly between stretching new swimmers to challenge themselves while also going at their pace and matching the lessons to their skill level. They got my anxious 3 year old swimming within just a few lessons, and I am so grateful!

Ok so let me preface this by saying that at the age of 40 I'd already made my mind up that I'd never swim. I was traumatized in the water as a child and get anxiety when I can simply smell the pool water under my nose. For an entire year, Shannon told me she could teach me and for an entire year I found every excuse not to sign up. Finally, after running out of excuses, I signed up. DAY 1 - it took her 10 mins to get me past my anxiety and 5 minutes later I WAS SWIMMING and continued doing so for the rest of the session! Not only was I proud of myself, some of the beautiful little babies I was surrounded by were too! How cute is it to get a clap or a "good job" from a 16 month old? ! Day 2 - I was floating on my back and I must say it's the most relaxing feeling I've ever felt! Who'd've thought I'd be relaxed in the pool? ! Upon completion, you're graduated and I'm telling you I was the happiest one out there to receive my medal and take my Seal picture.so much so, I showed up the next day for class b/c it didn't register to me that I was done! She laughed and let me stay! I'm so glad I finally listened and took the class, not once, but twice, and a third time is coming since I plan on joining her swim team! Yay me! Yay Shannon! Yay Seal Swim Scool! Aaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllll of the teachers are amazing, the pool is heated and the pH is perfect, I bought fancy goggles I don't even use. 1000% recommend! My life is FOREVER changed!

Words cannot express how impressed I am with Seal Swim School and everyone who works there! Every single staff member and coach there treats you and your child with so much loving care! They ensure safety is upheld at all times and instruct your child in a way they are completely comfortable with.even my very anxious 2 year old is advancing in ways I never thought possible! My children will be returning every single year as I am confident that the important swimming and safety skills they learn at Seal Swim School are completely priceless!

Our kids have attending class for two seasons and they have learned beyond our expectations. Our 3 year old can swim the width of the pool. Great place for kids to learn to swim, a necessity in Florida.

Everyone there including Management and instructors are very friendly and even more importantly put our kids safety first. I have found that our kids have benefited greatly from the time that have spent at the school. Great results and great people at this Seal School.

This is our second child that we are having attended Seal Swim School. This time we are starting at 16 months old. Last time we started at 3 years old. This place is great and I cannot say enough good things about them.

Seal swim school is amazing. Both my girls have attended and I couldn’t imagine sending them anywhere else. All the instructors are wonderful!
