Second Base Discount Beverages reviews
7They sell liquor and other beverages, for a reasonable price and the staff is friendly.
New ownership, very friendly family operation. Nice selection of wines and spirits.
Very Cool selection of liquor, very fair prices!
Friendly young lady at the register.
What a great family run shop! They were friendly, helpful and were even willing to negotiate on some prices. They carried our boxes out to the car for us, too. Excellent service, good selection and great prices.
Very friendly staff, had something I've been looking for and haven't found in any other liquor store in PSL. Usually had to go to Ft Pierce to get it. Very clean store. Will be going here from now on
Well as I can plainly see I am NOT the 1st one to have an issue with the lack of honoring pricing. I will be contacting Port St. Lucie Business licensing department when things get back to normal to find out how to report them to the Alcohol and Tobacco department.
Here is what happened,
I went in today 4-4-2020 to purchase a bottle of Disaronno.
There was a young man there working and he told me all they had was the big bottles, which was fine with me.
I went to the register to pay and the lady scanned the item and told me the price was 42 and change. I handed her my card to pay. The young man RAN up front and asked her how much did it ring up? She told him 39.99. He said he didn't think that was right and too hold on.
He came back and so the price was 42.99 plus tax. I explained nicely that it rang up 39.99 as well as the sign for the item also said 39.99 and that is the price you should charge that customer and then fix the price in your system. He said to me "OH WELL" that its 42.99. I told him he was wrong in doing that and again he said OH WELL.
Needless to say I took back my card and left the store to take my business elsewhere.
I have for the past 10 years been purchasing all my Christmas gift liquors and wines for all my clients. I believe in supporting local business I am one of them myself.
But to be treated in the manner of which I was treated was appalling.
I will be conducting all of my business elsewhere from here on out as Sams Club is not too far away.
What can I say? OH WELL! How does it feel?
