Seda has become a terrible company in my opinion. Their contracts are very one sided and manipulative. They hide defects in the homes. Their quality is not up to the standards of other local builders in the area. Their finish work appears to be done by handymen. Who knows what may be behind the walls that we can’t see. I would fear buying from them until they get their quality back up again.

Customer service is a zero. Poorly run company that has shady practices. Staff lie to your face about their warranty and support before and after the sale. They try to mislead customers every chance they get. They cut corners to save a penny, hire unqualified staff and build cheap looking products for high prices.

I would not recommend buying a Seda home to anyone. They do not honor their 1 year warranty on workmanship, materials and systems. We overlooked a lot of defects and just plain poor workmanship when we purchased the new home. Baseboard paint was more on the floor than the baseboards. The painting is terrible, walls and baseboards. Kitchen island was crooked on one side and noted on walk through. Over 4 months later someone came out and caulked it, not correcting the issue but attempting to cover it up.
When I discovered a hole in the flooring and reported it as a defect I was told it was owner damage and not covered. I did nothing to damage the floor and if I had I would have said I did. Basically, any defects an owner finds will be "owner caused" according to Seda.
Seda has very poor customer service. The "warranty" department will ignore you hoping you just go away. Please don't buy a Seda home.

I’m currently renovating a SEDA home built in Cunningham Creek a little over 20 years ago. I haven’t been able to find a straight/square wall in the entire house and there are foundation issues that will need to be addressed. Stucco is separating in large areas at the backing (far beyond any other 20yo job I’ve seen) and the hurricane straps are rusted out over half the house with obvious shortcuts being taken on the exterior. This is the “newest” house I have ever opened up and it is a nightmare at every turn. STAY AWAY!

If QUALITY craftsmanship and service is important to you when building/buying your dream home, SEDA is who you want to work with. The entire team at SEDA is knowledgeable, experienced, hardworking, professional, and caring.

As a current SEDA employee, I witness the hard work, love and dedication that this builder devotes to building new homes. The staff goes above and beyond to provide the best service throughout the entire building process. Lucky to know and work for such a reputable and stable local home builder!

I am extremely disappointed with this company. Signed a contract three months ago. Provided 20k in binders fee and another 12k in upgrades. Permit was authorized last month. Get a call today that the house will now be 30K over the original signed contract price due to increase in labor cost and materials. An increase over a three month span at 10k per month, over the originally contracted price.

Poor craftsman. They hire unskilled laborers and don't care about the quality of home they build. Our home had hundreds of ants due to poor sealing (a problem that was brought up during multiple inspections).

We bought a house in one of their developments I. Florida. The house isn’t even finished yet. We signed the contract about a month ago. I asked on the contract if they would add a screened lanai and fans for the same price. I was told at that time that the builder, seda new homes, doesn’t add anything at that time. I asked that they add it anyway and I was told by the sales reps that they would ask the builder and get back to me. A couple of days later the rep called back and said the builder initially said no, but she called them throughout the day to try to get them to change their mind. Finally they said that they would “split the cost with me” so I had to pay an extra 1,250 dollars. Today less than a month later, I see a promotion where they are offering that for free along with other incentives, window blinds, upgrades upgrade faucet etc.so I called and said since my house isn’t finished yet, I think they should refund me that extra money I paid. They refused. Claiming that it’s for new start homes only. That is poor business practice. I do not recommend them as a builder and I’m not even in the house yet.

My husband and I bought a lot in Jacksonville FL and did our due diligence in picking a builder. We went with SEDA-and I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with this decision. Seda construction not only refused to sign a contract with us until a price increase went into effect-but even after we signed a binding contract with them to build out house, they tried to raise our costs again. The first rice increase was $17,000-and we had no other option but to accept it since they had not allowed us to sign a contract. The second price increase was for $22,000 and it was more than a month after we had signed our contract. In consulting with a lawyer, he advised that unless we had the time and money to invest in suing them, we should just walk away-and so we did. I cant express how unethical this company turned out to be-no honesty or integrity. We ended up losing our deposit because SEDA refused to give it back to us-even thought THEY breached the contract. They returned only a small portion of it.
Please do not enter into any contract with SEDA builders-and most certainly do not give them any of your money!

Seda is a disgrace and does not care about customers, only money. Ethics is lacking as well. I challenge you to experience them for yourself and see how you get treated. It will more than likely be a bad experience

Not a good experience with SEDA to say it politely. No concern for any interest of a customer, only their own!

If I could give them a zero I would. I tried to buy a house from them. They look pretty on the outside. Customer service is non existent. Very arrogant group that only protects themselves. No concern for the customer

I am a former employee of SEDA New Homes. They are such a genuine group of people who care about doing their best work. The owner is kind and treats his staff very well. I was proud to be a part of their team and would recommend them to anyone.
