Hello,

I was a patient that stopped receiving therapy about 2 months ago. I tore my Achilles back in March 2023 and did an estimate of 5 months of therapy with them. Throughout the whole process the trainers and staff are extremely nice people. They have good energy and create a fun environment for you to be treated. However, there are a few things I did not like.

1. Inaccurate charges for payments

- I was told in the beginning that I would be charged $20 per visit.after 1 month of therapy they later tell me it is $40 per visit. I then had to scrap and hustle for the money I barely had left to pay back what I owe. Several months later they then tell me it was a mistake and let me know they would refund me. Till this day they have yet processed my refund. This does take time because of insurance companies but could have been easily avoided in the first place if things were done correctly.

2. "Treadmill unsafe"

part of the recovery process of therapy for an Achilles tare is to walk. They then had me use the treadmill which had serious issues. It is completely unstable.thankfully nothing bad happened but that may not be the case for someone else. People with injuries in there legs could end up worse.

3. "Attention to detail"

early on in the I was showing significant signs of improvement. Later on they had me proceed with doing calf raises. As we continued to do them for several weeks I noticed that I started getting sharp pain on my calf.it did not feel normal and I told several of the therapist that it was bothering me.they then told me to do other forms for calf raises. However the pain still continued. I was then having issues with walking again which felt like I was taking a huge step back. After this continued I decided that I needed to discontinue my therapy with Select.

I do not want people to think this is a bad review. I merely want the business to know that there are some improvements that need to be made. I think having better equipment will definitely help the trainers and the patients achieve higher results. Having more attention to detail buy listening to the patients could have bring more referrals. Lastly making sure that payments are arranged before treatment starts so that people are not caught off guard with their money.

After I stopped my treatment here I have been doing my own physical therapy from home. I am not trained for PT but I have been doing my own research for achilles treatment. I am starting to jog and be more active. I would highly recommend anyone with a tare in their achilles to be extremely careful with the therapy you do. I am sure the trainers at Select Physical are able to help you just be aware of this experience incase you see it happening to you.

I tried this facility after my podiatrist recommended physical therapy, and they suggested Select PT. I had taken a break from PT after getting a procedure done that required me to wait a month before starting again. I was happy with my previous PT facility, but I decided to try this location because the receptionist told me I would only be paying $10 per visit after she checked my insurance. I was surprised by that and asked if she was sure that was all I would owe. Sure enough after a few visits, I get a bill from Select PT saying I owe them now a bunch more money. I spoke to the billing department, and they confirmed that I do owe this new amount. So basically they are pulling a bait and switch on their customers. The therapists themselves are fine, and the equipment is a bit dated. Just make sure you confirm with your insurance the billing side of things.
