Shakespeare's Craft Beer and Gastro Pub reviews
18The menu is awesome! There were so many things we wanted to try. In the end, we all got burgers and were very happy with them. I wish the drink menu was a bit better, but I work in the wine and spirits industry so I tend to be picky.
Outstanding burgers, so many great choices. Nice mix of draft beers with a nice number of local options. Be careful to not fill up on the appetizers as they come with a healthy portion. Service was friendly, prompt and with a smile.
Felt like a friendly neighborhood pub. The Carmalized Onion and Brie Burger was delicious.
Incredibly delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive and the menu had some great choices! Will be coming back for sure.
Dropped in for a beer, the craft beer selection was great. We sat at the bar and the service was quick and frienfly.
A quiet neighborhood English style pub with a relaxing atmosphere, excellent service, and homemade foods that easily fulfills your hunger. In addition, their selection of micro brews are vary satisfying.
Not only because I work there. I'm saying the burgers are the best burgers that I've ever had my favorite. Is the black-and-blue Burger with added sauteed onions and mushrooms If you ask for it medium it will be just right. Juicy and delicious we have a wide selection of craft beers that rotate almost on a daily basis they're very popular unfortunately, We do not serve liquor but that's OK we have just enough beer to go around. The owners are great and lovely to work for. I really enjoy being a part of this Shakespeare family!
I like a good dark English pub, what can I say? Always friendly, chill crowd, cold beer. It's no high cuisine experience - just basic pub food - but it's filling and delish and not overpriced. It doesn't pretend to be something it's not. Works for me!
I would have given 5 stars but my burger that I requested to be cooked medium was well done! That's not a difficult request to follow!
First time at Shakespeare's since 2020 - it still felt like home! Beer cheese dip is great! I had the brie and caramelized onion burger which is my favorite. Husband had fish & chips which he said was good. The onion rings he substituted weren't very good though - very greasy and tasted like they were fried in old oil. But other than that we loved it - we'll be back soon!
It is a nice cozy English style pub. It has nice TV screen menus displaying detailed beer and food descriptions as well as printed menus. Service is friendly and fast I had the 1/3/lb. Brie and Caramelized Onion cheeseburger. Not only was it large and on a wonderful English style bun, it was easily one of the tastiest burgers I've had in years. The Caramelized onions are sweet and savory and a nice balance to the generous portion brie on the burger. I had green peas as a side. It was worth the price and I am going back soon
Great fish and tips. Kristi made me a cocktail sauce instead of tartar sauce. Wonderful!
Not a beer drinker but the Merlot from Chile was delicious!
Went here for the 1st time today.we split a British Burger (bacon, Stilton blue cheese, sauteed onions, greens, balsamic) and the cheese-stuffed mushrooms. Both were excellent. You wouldn't think that a burger could feel like a gourmet dish, but it did. Even the fries were done perfectly. Will be returning!
Went there last night sat there almost 30 minutes and the bartender never once took my food order. She did bring me a beer, it was the waitress who brought me my silverware and menu. Two people came in sat at the bar 20 minutes after me and she took their drink and food order still never acknowledging me, now mind you there's like 8 or 9 people in the restaurant when 2 more people came in and sat at the bar she laughed and giggled with them and got them drinks and I said to myself if she takes their food order I'm outta here. And she promptly did! I paid for my beer and told her the service was beyond terrible. Wont be going back nor recommend this place.
Hear ye hear ye! I doeth declare that Shakespeare's do maketh the best burger in all of ye shire! Thou chalice shall overrun with a wideth selection of ales and brews from across ye shire!
British citizen in Sarasota going to a “British pub” for kings Coronation. Asked bartender if they were doing anything special for Coronation and response was “ we don’t give a S*%t, we’re American! Was extremely offended. Paid for my drink and left
Sarasota Foodies didn’t steer me wrong. When they said Shakespeare’s has the best burger in town, they were spot on. Weighing in at a beefy 1/2 pound, these burgers are killer delicious. I got the black and blue burger and added balsamic caramelized onions to it. I am still thinking about that burger. Hubby loved his burger. The bar is dark wood, nice and clean with a good selection of super cold beers on tap. That was awesome. Just go!
We only had a couple drinks, but nice atmosphere and staff. Food LOOKED amazing - I only wish they served Liquor
