Shifters Transmission, Jacksonville FL

Took my 08 Grand Marquis for a transmission rebuild. I was recommended by my mechanic to get my car diagnosed here. Car had issues shifting into drive upon start up and up/downshifting while driving. Two weeks later, car suddenly stopped shifting at 247000, I've owned @ 140k miles for about 8 years so I wasn't surprised after the warning signs. What did surprise me was how quick the repair was done. They were really helpful getting my vehicle towed to the shop. In 3 days, the transmission was rebuilt and drives/shifts smoother than it ever did before. Car no longer shakes at high speeds and rides like new. These guys do honest work and have exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this shop!

I had a great experience with Mike. Even though it took two days longer than expected the work they did was pretty much perfect. My truck runs like a brand new vehicle. I absolutely recommend Shifters Transmissions.

This is the only shop I’ll ever go to. Mike was super friendly, warm and helpful. He communicated well with me, his staff was quick and they never overcharged or upsold me for anything at all. Absolutely fair and reasonable prices for EXCELLENT service.recommend!

If I could leave 10 1 stars I would. I was charged $150 for a “diagnostic. ” They told me it was fine. Checked my transmission fluid it was empty. Put some in it. Within 5 mins I had 4 quarts of fluid on my driveway. Brought it back up here for the second time they “fixed” it for another $380. I drove it home checked the fluid it was empty. I drove to the store and bought more transmission fluid. Before I made it home it was empty. We are getting charged for nothing. The “manager” was very rude when he was telling us that he would “fix” it. The manager is not taking any responsibility of anything. I WILL NOT BRING ANY VEHICLE UP TO SHIFTERS AGAIN. I should have went with their competitor right across the street. This place is the biggest scam in north Jacksonville.

The staff at shifters is very knowledgeable and always nice and helpful. They call buckwheat they say and keep you updated! Would always recommend!

Mike @ Shifters is totally awesome. He was honest about my repair (told me I was under warranty with manufacturer) and didnt charge me for the diagnosis. Best news I hear all day! Highy Recommend!

They R a local business that is growing with good reason. I have used them in the past and always been VERY happy. Just used the new location and the only difference I can see is somehow Mike made it better. They R honest and do great work.they use quality parts that last I would not go to another shop even if they were 1/2 the price. For me to leave a review good or bad the business needs to leave an impression

Needed a transmission fluid change. They had to request Honda fluid so set appointment. Quick and professional

No work done but they're lake any other transmission shop. Always trying to up sale everything.

I went here and Mike kept in constant contact with me the entire time. They advised me of what my problem was and the estimated amount it would be to get the repairs done. I was so happy because it was almost $1000 less than what I was quoted by 3 other repair shops! They are honest and reliable. Thanks for all that you do for the community!
