Japanese Restaurant Shogun reviews
12Came in with a party of 10. Hostess and server were very accommodating to us. Hibachi chef was very entertaining and engaged the children that were with us at the table. Server was also very good making sure our drinks were always filled and gave pleasant service.
The service was amazing tam was the best cook I have ever had in a Japanese restaurant me and my boyfriend stopped here on our way home and it was so worth every single penny. THU was the best server ever! The steak melted in your mouth and was cooked perfectly! Will definitely return again!
Kind of dated and touristy, but it is International Drive. It's located in a hotel behind a gate. Must tell security guard you are going to the restaurant. Our chef was nice and entertaining. Server was very nice. Food quality is ok, nothing fantastic. Must arrive exactly at reserved time, no earlier. Pretty pricey.
This was my third time going there. It gets better every time! The food, the chef, and the server all were great. The only problem was they had no Coke products, but that was OK. My family and I enjoyed it.
Tam the cook was very disrespectful and when he was "confused" about our order instead of asking, he told us what he wasn't going to do. After a miscommunication about an order he had an attitude the rest of the night.food was good.
My husband and I ate at the bar our first couple of nights. The food was good, sushi was tasteful. However our issue was with the bartender Carol. The first night service was okay, good enough that we came back again. The second night we went she brought up some negative comments about covid restrictions, immigrants, and political opinions. Specifically she said, “The government wants people on unemployment so the illegals can come in and take their jobs” Firstly, as a child of an immigrant that is extremely offensive. Secondly, not only did this make us uncomfortable but politics should never be talked about with or around guests. We were planning on staying at the Rosen inn on our next trip to Orlando, but after these events we will be looking elsewhere.
Terrible experience! Went there for Father’s Day with my wife. Tam the cook was not friendly with the African Americans sitting at table. He spoke to table telling us Happy fathers Day while only looking at white male to reference. I was the only father at the table but I was black. He kept telling the White male he had his back. I guess he did he gave my wife’s shrimp and my shrimp away to white couple at table who never ordered shrimp: Filled the white male at the tables plate with rice and gave the blacks and Latinas small amounts.worst fathers Day experience ever. Waitress was the same. Catered to white couple asking if they ere ok or needed anything but never asked us the black couple at the table. How can this be happening where we spend our hard earned dollars?
Super fun! Chef Roland was GREAT and the food was amazing! Big portions, I had to get a to-go box I was stuffed! Highly recommend.
A lot of micro aggressions we did not appreciate from Tom. We felt we were picked on at the table this isn’t the first time. My husband is black and the only black guy at the table so it’s extremely annoying because others think it’s funny when it’s not. Calling my husband “daddy” or “I love you” only to him at the table is annoying. Towards the end the chef noticed our change in mood and he apologized. But it’s not the first time. We love hibachi but will not be returning here again. The hostess was sweet and the lady at the bar was sweet as well. We have a sense of humor but when it becomes the whole hour and half of just us two being picked at while there was a whole family there and another two people.
It's ok. Food was good chef was interesting but could not speak Japanese (haha) Our server only took order servered the salad and soup and never return. The chef had to clear plates and cups from the table. Our dinner guest another party was funny to watch just be on his phone the whole time and not interact with the chef at all.
We went here because they had a deal on Groupon. This was you get what you pay for deal. The food was good, however, I believe you get less food compared to their competitors. The staff was really nice though.
Was my first time at this place. We called for reservations and they already had my table ready. Omar, took very good care of all of Us. Tan was our chef and he is AMAZING he cook very well and the entertainment was super great. Was also my kid birthday
And he brought a yummy chocolate cake and sang happy birthday.
I do recommended and I will definitely come again.
Thank you Tan & Omar and staff.
