Was a wonderful place to be staff were efficient and friendly. Not personally "happy" to have to be admitted, but your staff made me feel comfortable and confident. I am a retired nurse and tend to be watching closely. They were awesome

I came to Shorepoint for an angiography Friday am. The staf was efficient kind and understanding of how I was feeling. I had never gone thru anything like this before and was very apprehensive about it. The nurses calmed me down, got all the prep done and soon it was done. I am pleased it is all over with and done. Hi five to the hospital and their excellent staff.

I went to shore point after a bad experience earlier this year at Fawcett. The ER doctor was great, the nurses were not and didn’t seem to care about me as the patient. I was admitted for 4 days and 3 nights. DR Kamil was my hospitalist and didn’t listen to me and I was just a number to Him. Hourly rounds are not done and I had to wait long times after I pushed my button. I had a couple great nurse and all the nurses techs were good. My transporter and X ray tech were great and my x ray tech even took me up to my room after test.

My first Dr had left the practice in Port Charlotte and I was not to impressed with her. When I went to schedule a surgical procedure they explained to me that she was leaving the practice an could not proceed with any major surgeries so they then referred me to Dr. D ABarno in North Port (sorry if I spelt the name wrong). Not only was I comfortable with her right off the start she also reassured me in a procedure that I originally wanted to proceed with that the the first Dr told me I was absolutely Not a candidate for and could never be done on me. Dr. D ABarno assured me it was the first choice and step for me and the procedure was completely safe, and it was what was recommended not only by her but also for insurance purposes. If this doesn’t work then the more invasive major surgery would be justified. Thank you so much for making me comfortable Dr and putting trust back into the original decision I had wanted to do first. What a great Dr!

ShorePoint has a great staff and make sure your taken well care of. Everything is organized.patient’scheck in and see the doctor in a short amount of time.
I have been seeing Dr. Herskowitz for a few years now and I appreciate the way I’m treated. Hope you’ve had the same positive experience.

My experience at ShorePoint Health in Port Charlotte was excellent. I was there early and was taken in for the procedure on time. I was treated wonderfully at all stages of my stay - checking in, preparing for the procedure, and the recovery process. I arrived at 6: 00 am and was on my way home by 10: 00. I interacted with at least 7 different people before and after the procedure, and everyone was a pleasure. I was out before I hit the procedure room, so I didn’t actually get to see them; but I have no doubt I was handled excellently in there as well.

I arrived with my daughter who had a 103.3 fever and sat in the waiting from for three hours for shift change. They didn't even tell me I would have to wait that long. My poor daughter was so tired and they didn't even bring her in the back. They took her into some office. Don't go here. It was a horrible experience.

I was induced and had my baby here, even though my experience pre birth was not good. No one ever listened to me, was told I wasn’t having the symptoms I was having. Then they told me right after I said I didn’t want to be induced at their hospital because of how I was treated, that if they didn’t induce me my baby would not make it. Then told me I had HIV so I couldn’t breastfeed, and said they’d take more blood to double check because it could be a “false positive”. They took blood but refused me results. They scheduled my baby for a infectious disease doctor and when that appointment came, they told me the hospital had my results and that I was not HIV Positive, and by then my supply had already dried up, so this hospital not only withheld extremely important information, but they treated me unwell, had bad attitudes anytime I said I was uncomfortable, tossed me around like a rag doll, and they stole my ability to breastfeed my baby. I hope to not have to go back to this hospital for my next baby. Because they do not act like they care about your well-being as health care providers. I will say my nurses Jessica and Cheryl were amazing and made me laugh. Jessica was very caring when they did my epidural because I said I couldn’t do it alone. But any other nurses besides the two mentioned before we’re not very nice at all.

The Nurses at Shorepoint were great, I would like to say a special thanks to Kyrstal, Dustin Helen and Michael. I did have issues with the Dietary this is why, I was on a Lactose free diet. The 1st 3 days was fluids only broth, juice, ensure. After the 4th day I read the lable on the Ensure it had milk products in it. Thats why I was having terrible diarrhea. That is uncalled for. Dr Dubis was excellent.

My husband went in to ER on Saturday Sept 3rd.at 6: 30pm. He fell out of a tree and crushed the bones in his left heel. Doctors, Rn's were very nice. They kept him in ER overnight. The shift change crew for Am was very rude to him, so he decided to he wanted to be discharged. They were very, very rude to him.

I've reached out to the Medical Records Dept twice in an attempt to get my mother's recent ER test results made available to her online chart-I've been totally ignored. Mom's doctor left the Shorepoint system a few months ago. She has an appt.with a new doctor next week. It would be great if the new doctor had ALL her test results available from the start so he can make an informed decision. Why is this SO difficult?

UPDATE: When I called the number in the response, I found the person with whom I was supposed to speak with, was out of the office and return the following Monday. I called that Monday and left a message and never heard back. Can ANYONE at this hospital do their job?

ShorePoint port Charlotte is a great place, ShorePoint Punta Gorda let me down and nearly kill me. Your reply is for me to call you, we’ll you got it backwards, your supposed to reach out to clients.
I’m still waiting for a phone call from you, I guess you really don’t care about patient care.

Physical Therapists are very competent. Unfortunately for my knee surgery rehab, after two months PT, I did not reach my goal of using a cane only. I left using a walker. My left side remains weak and may need further PT possibly w weights. Continue home exercises and practicing w cane until further evaluation by surgeon in a few weeks. I realize knee rehab is different for each person, but I look forward to walking without any support soon.
UPDATE on my progress.after another four weeks of weight training prescribed by my surgeon, I can report that my walking has improved with continued exercises at home. Krissy the Physical Therapist was extremely patient and offered much encouragement. I am working on strengthening my lower muscles and walk regularly with two walking sticks that help to prove posture. Soon hope to visit Krissy with no more cane assist!

I had my surgery there on September 7 2022, Had my tubes tied and salpingectomy. Everyone I had was amazing, informative and on top of things. I didn’t have any problems with anyone. I was able to register the day before so I had no issues the day of surgery.

This hospital has wonderful nursing staff. However, case management except for Bryan are lazy, liars and do not care what happens to you when you leave. They will send you anywhere when insurance runs out. Your health and well being is not their concern after the money runs out. Do not bring in your loved ones here.

Er staff was great clear and helpful with helping me understand my diagnosis, the night nurse in the ICU though kept giving me excuses as to why they were having trouble putting an iV in never in my life has a nurse or even a medic had issues with my veins.

What an absolute horror. This hospital has a L&D, postpartum and NICU, but apparently cannot provide light therapy for a baby with severe jaundice. 2/3’s of newborns have Jaundice; our pediatrician had labs run today and called to say we needed to get to the hospital ASAP. My wife sat in triage for 2 hours before they said, yeah can’t help you…you need to go to Fort Myers. The horrible state of pediatrics at Shorepoint should be embarrassing for their directors at best. The employees on the frontline during delivery were awesome, even though the doctor didn’t make it on time, but there’s no surprise that there’s a nursing shortage given what these RN’s are up against. I mean the room in postpartum didn’t have a chair for the father, or any visitor for that matter, to sit in. I can only imagine how neglected the staff is if this is how they are treating new parents and babies.

I’ve been going for PT for 2 1/2 months for balance problems. Oliver was my therapist and I’m very great full to him.
He’s professional and caring with a sense of humor. He helped me with my balance and I would recommend him.
Too bad that you moved from North Port, it was so much comfortable.

I have attended Physical Therapy at this facility both prior to and after knee surgery. The staff have all been professional and kind. Kellie works hard to make sure all the paperwork is processed timely and Oliver is a great PT. His knowledge of his craft and good humor help make the rigors of the exercises easier to handle. He keeps me motivated and I know I am in capable hands.
