Sierra Ridge Apartments, North Miami Beach FL

I see a lot of comments from residents here who claim this area to be “quiet and safe”. I would like to say that only applies to within the community gates. Outside the neighborhood especially passed midnight, there are a few episodes of people (or I assume returning alumni’s) drifting their cars like crazy (fyi: there was a time when they drifted for 3 nights and police couldn’t do anything about it, so they would continue their drifting activities) or worse cases, shootings. In my years of living in here, there have only been 2 shootings that occurred and they always seem to take place near the 7-Eleven.

Yesterday on Feb. 8,2023 at 1: 04 PM, was the worst and it shocked me that it happened during the day. It was incredibly loud popping sounds that echoed throughout the area followed by a car drifting off away.
Again, even though this is a gated community and you are safe inside, I’m still too cautious and afraid to stay out too long.

The Sierra Ridge community has made good changes in security, keeping a good eye out for residents and guests entering, and leaving. There are times when it becomes rush hour and a long line of cars begin to form. But, I understand that they are trying their best and lack enough helping hands to make things run easier. The staff members that do outdoor work manages maintenance with patience and efficiency, like broken sprinklers or any other minor concerns. At the Sierra Ridge Office, I appreciate the level of understanding they have for us. Some of them do however tend to be hard to reach in contact and only respond through email. But, those that I’ve met in person do a great job to provide information and find solutions.
The service Sierra Ridge provides is exceptional but, I can only give it two stars due to the many recent dangerous events.

It’s very quiet and peaceful here, but it would be nice to have 2 designated parking spots per household.

Neighbor's are friendly.its quiet.but due to corona I haven't tested the amenities. Security is ok.sometimes they seem like they work for the president n other times they act like they are not working at all
