Signal Inn Pet-Friendly Island Condos, Sanibel FL

This is our second time staying here and both times it was great. Only the second time there was construction in the neighboring cottage and it was noisy. Our dog was very sick and on medication. We could not leave her alone because of the noise through the wall in the neighboring cottage. But the manager of this place was very kind and professional, the next day we changed the cottage. I just didn’t understand why we weren’t offered another cottage right away on the day of arrival, they knew that the workers there were making noise.but this is not a big problem.the managers are very pleasant and friendly. All cottages have a fully equipped kitchen and a large refrigerator making it convenient to prepare breakfast and snacks. There is a washing machine and dryer on the large balcony, it helps not to take a lot of clothes with you. On the ground floor of any cottage you will find beach chairs and an umbrella. Also convenient, no need to overload your car.very quiet and the beach is almost empty. There are two grocery stores on the island and one very close to this place. It also creates convenience.

We had the most wonderful stay here at Signal Inn and plan on coming every year! The location is outstanding, being right on the beach, and it's also very private and secluded. We loved being able to bring our pups and the team there is so kind, helpful and caring. They even had toys for the dogs and a little flashlight for us (for evening potty breaks) when we checked in. Our unit was extremely clean and came with everything that we needed, including a full kitchen. We brought our groceries with us (staples) and just down the road is Jerry's grocery store too (which we visited all the time) and enjoyed cooking and having the convenience of the kitchen/ The units have large screened balconies and washer/dryer in unit. We can't wait to come back again, thank you Signal Inn! One day there was a brief rainstorm that left a beautiful full rainbow.

This was my second time staying at Signal Inn for a family vacation. And I never want to leave once we are here. The beach access is so close. The views are amazing. The pool is great too. And townhouse #16 is like being at home. It is big enough for a family of 5 and I just absolutely love staying here and will continue to come back as long as they are here. Signal Inn is like a hidden gem.

The service and location was great! I stayed in the 16 building so we had a balcony, it has an amazing view of the beach and the sky, and the beach wasn't very crowded. The only reason I give this a 4 stars instead of 5 is because, one, when unlocking the door it was very difficult to do as it kept getting stuck. Two, in one of the rooms the bed was broken and it had moved a couple of the floor boards, and the floor had a pointy bit right where you walk so your would get stabbed in the foot everything you walk in the room. Overall it was a great experience I just wished the rooms were kept in great condition.

We have vacationed at Signal Inn #18 twice and we plan to stay again. This beautiful condo has 3 large bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The family room furniture has been updated since our first visit, and is very comfortable and cozy. The condo is equipped with everything you need. They even have an assortment of beach chairs and umbrellas! The beach is steps away and very private. If you've never been to Sanibel, you'll be amazed by the shells on the beach! We were so excited to find a pet friendly vacation home. The condo was spotless and fresh smelling. You would never know it was dog friendly, as there was not a dog hair in sight. There is an assortment of games for fun family time, and also several tvs in case it rains. This has become our favorite spot and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Sanibel.

Private setting, heated pool, palm trees, easy walk to beach, located near shopping. My favorite vacation destination!

Peaceful and quiet vacation spot with private huts, pool, hot tub, and a short boardwalk through the mangroves to the beach. Easygoing staff made check-in and check-out easy. It's true the wifi is not the best, but it's more than adequate for one person to stream TV. Pet friendly, but did not have any loud or annoying pets bother us during out trip. Would book again!

Fun place.good fishing. Although ironically named the "signal inn", this place has some of the worst WiFi ever, but makes some of the best memories.

Excellent, pet friendly location. Well kept grounds. The boardwalk to beach is easy walk, not as far as I thought. They provide wagons, chairs, sunbrellas. There are plenty of shell washing stations and have hoses and showers beneath units to wash off salt and sand. Pool area off limit to dogs, but they can chill in units nearby. Screened in balconies, washer and dryers, different sized units to acommadate more people. Our unit clean, nice roomy shower. Updated space. The beach location was awesome for shelling, swimming. First time in ocean and I am hooked. Less people than either way up or down beach. Dolphins appeared. Staff friendly and helpful. I miss this place. Sanibel is awesome.

Our family loves Signal Inn! It’s in the perfect location. We always feel like we’re in our own private Island oasis.

The condo was spacious, recently renovated and fit a family of 7 with two pups. The front office accommodated our pups with mini flashlights to utilize on walks and dog toys. We love walking our pups around the condo and on the beach.

My two year old loved the pool. It was the perfect place to cool down after spending time on Sanibels beautiful beach. The maintenance staff even gave my son a popsicle, which he devoured.

One of our guests also left a drawer full of their belongings and Signal Inn mailed them to us within a week.

We love Sanibel! The restaurants, the sunsets, the shells, the small island feel and we LOVE Signal Inn!

Great place to go with pets. Very friendly staff. Great location and views. Units nicely situated and clean. Easy access to beach. Pool and hot tub nice a clean. Quiet and well cared for. Can't wait to return.

Great because it’s on Sanibel and Sanibel is just awesome. Nice that you get to take larger dogs there. The management is really nice and they care about your stay and they love animals. But our unit was not well kept. The mattress was like laying on a brick with hole indents where you sleep. The shower curtain was molded and the ceiling was peeling off. The air return was coated in dust. The mattress was so bad, we left our vacation two days early. For the price we paid, I expected a better kept unit.

This was our 7 the January at the Signal Inn. While it was different because of Covid, it is the best place to stay on Sanibel. The condos are cozy and we'll stocked, the staff and renters are friendly, and we feel like we have our own private beach. Having our dog with us is the frosting on the cake.

Comfortable and affordable. Basically on the beach. Rent a bike or bring your own and really enjoy the island.

Make sure you review your contract VERY careful - especially if you deal with lynn! My husband and i planned our wedding and wanted to stay at the signal inn and lynn put down a completely wrong date (off by months) and i did not review it - but know i did not give those dates!

we lost our deposit and it has ruined our wedding plans

Pets or not - this was a great place to stay. Great staff, very accommodating,
and super nice!
