Wonderful food new location at VFD close to Bonnet Springs park. Get your Cuban and enjoy it at the park.

We tried this place a few weeks ago and have been back again and again. Sad now it’s closed for a bit but excited to see it back in the crispers building. Poor crispers.

I've been dining here for over 15 years, and my last visit was every bit as good as my first. Thank you for being an icon of Downtown Lakeland.

Not a real Cuban sandwich. Added lettuce and tomato to it. Offers hot or cold. Ordered hot but they only pressed it for a little bit, everything inside was still cold. They have a stuffed potato on the menu and I asked if it’s like a papa rellena, and they had no idea what that was.nice people though.

Food is so good we ordered double to take home and eat again. Please try the Cuban and soup combo!

No cuban coffee. And it smells like death in there is more like for real old people to have their last meal.

Fantastic Cuban and chicken and yellow rice! If you are downtown looking for a quick meal, look no further. The food is excellent, it's quick, and you won't be disappointed! I've heard they may be closing soon due to leasing issues. Don't miss the opportunity to try this great local business that has been a staple of Lakeland's for over 35 years!

Always great service. I love the girls who work there. Stopped by today, 12/28/21 around noon to get a large order for the family at home. They were slammed, between the called in orders (My inconsiderate butt should have called it in), the walk in orders (ME.), and the full seated dine in area, they kept up and kept track of everyone there. They really do care about their customers and there's many there who are so regular they.walk in, sit down, and the girls great them by their 1st name and ask if they want their regular. There aren't any of the. Mom.and. Pop style places that exist anymore. This is a definite keeper.
Great authentic Cuban Sandwich shop. Many other comfort food selections also like Chicken and Yellow rice, Black Bean Soup, just to name a couple. I've never had a bad meal there. I only wish their hours were longer in the evening.

Fail! Another disappointing Cuban Sandwich experience in downtown Lakeland. This is one step up from their next door neighbor. If you’re a fan of the original Silver Ring Cafe in Ybor/Tampa stay away from this one. They may want to clean the shop too. Once a year would be a good place to start.

This place has the best Cubans ever! Also their deviled crabs and their black beans and rice! Good prices friendly service as well! Stupidly moved away from home.miss this place and the Lakeland area. When we do visit it's the first place we stop.

Went in today for the first time. Crazy good Cuban sandwich! The two women behind the counter were friendly and extremely fast. Best Cuban I have had in Florida yet. See you soon!

The silver ring has an extensive history. When I was a kid I would wait for my dad to get out of his naval reserve meeting in Tampa. We then would leave and come up into Ybor and stop at the Silver Ring Café. This restaurant came from the original family relatives. You used to see three brothers in the Ybor Silver Ring Café making sandwiches and they would be stacked in a clear glass window to entice you from the street. They made the “regular” sandwiches with mustard, no lettuce tomato & the “special” with mustard, mayo, lettuce & tomato. I use to take a weekend with my sister to drive out to Ybor and bring back Cuban sandwiches. It’s been nice having this restaurant in Lakeland that was started by one of their relatives from the three brothers. These are truly authentic Cuban sandwiches passed down over decades. I was in my teens enjoying these sandwiches and still till this day where I’m about to turn 60 I still enjoy a shorter drive anticipating that delicious sandwich I’m about to savor. Yum. Stop by and try it out. It’s right across from the west side of the park. Great location to stop by especially on weekends during or after the outdoor market or a quick filling bite before you go out down town. Enjoy. I only wish they were open on Sundays. I’m ready to head back!

There cuban sandwiches area so good and they are very cheap it was 2 of us that ate there.

Had the Cuban sandwich special with soup. Very fast service food was excellent, price was great and the waitress did an awesome job. Will be back.

Delicious soup and Cubans as usual. Our pregnant waitress was excellent, friendly and humorous.

A good old fashioned "mom & pop" dining experience. Excellent food in generous portions, along with extremely personable service make this place a must hit in downtown Lakeland.
I've never been disappointed here.
