Silver Sands Beach Resort, Key Biscayne FL

Really great experience. I was a little worried because of a few of the other reviews but this hotel exceeded my expectations as a cozy spot by the beach. We were visited by iguanas, and we were offered coconut water from coconuts that had just been harvested from the trees as we watched. The rooms are a little dated but everything was clean. No bugs. Unexpected kitchenette was a nice bonus. The beach was beautiful! The plant life was very pretty. Everything in town on the island is comfortable walking distance. Would recommend and stay again.

For the price it isn't bad, but the rooms need an update. There was a strong chemical smell on the sheets. Lots of mosquitoes by the pool so bring some big spray. Right along the beach which is nice! Could be beneficial if the place had a coin machine for the washer and dryer.

Clean (impeccably so), retro-chic (in a good way). Lovely units, truly just steps to a lovely stretch of the beach and the pool is very pleasant too. Some reviews in the last year noted beach seaweed which has been addressed (although I’m sure there will always be some, it wasn’t unpleasant to stroll through the edge of the waves). A lovely oasis just 12 minutes from the city. Friendly, accommodating staff. Each courtyard room having its own seating area is a nice feature and although I didn’t see inside them, the cottages looked lovely. The kitchenettes inside each room are very handy too for a day at the beach, etc.and featured a mini fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee machine. Beds were comfy. I wonder if Silver Sands would consider making the parking lot-facing rooms pet friendly? It would certainly help to see me back!

This place is in a great location. The rooms are extremely outdated. The comforters were extremely old. The blanket in the closet is 10x better. There was a huge roach on the ceiling. The cleaning ladies did a great job. All in all it's not bad for what it is!

Worst room ever, got a refund and drove home on my anniversary. Wasn't expecting much but this room should never have been rented. See my original review on expedia.

This is an older resort but priced very well. Sits on one of the nicest beaches of Key Biscayne

Small little mom and pop motel in Key this game definitely A-blast from the past The front desk is very friendly and helpful the rooms are small I'm very retro but the beach is good and located in the middle of Key. It's the hotel with the closest access to the ocean

Great place for the money. Walking distance to everything you need. Nice break from the craziness of Miami. Highly recommend!

Resort front desk, Mr. Juan was very courteous and professional. The resort is perfect for a weekend getaway and celebrating with the family any special day. We celebrated Father’s Day weekend at Silver Sands Resort and it was amazing! The resort has a nice size pool, rooms are right on the beach and rooms meet your basic needs. The room service personnel were very friendly and helpful. The resort is very clean. We are definitely returning to Silver Sands Resort! Thank you for making our Father’s Day weekend, an exceptional one; we will always treasure! Can’t wait to return to Silver Sands Resort.

I was looking for a nice and quite place to relax. What a disappointment!
A lot of people entering from the side of the resort, very scandalous with laud music eating and drinking alcohol on the pool. Looks like public pool.
Do not wast your money. Old and expensive! No relaxing weekend at all.

My family and I had a very nice stay at the Silver Sands. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come again.

If you’re looking for 5 star luxury and plan to spend most of your trip in your hotel room, then you’re better off in the Ritz Carlton next door. If you’re looking for clean, basic but functional rooms that are literally 10 seconds from a 5 star beach, with easy access to restaurants and shops, then this is for you.

The service is great too, we had a slight issue with noisy neighbours on arrival and the manager moved us without any fuss.

If you have any other place to go, do not go to Silver Sands.
We use to go a lot, and it was decent but now is horrible. Trust me

I was at this location and it was alright. The area is clean, the location is nice. The price is way too high though, and the man in front of the building was on his phone laughing. I asked him for the name of the building and he never got up from his seat, he shouted at me instead. I couldn't understand him because his accent was so heavy and he was too far away. Although it sounded like he gave me a different name. Thanks maps for not failing me like he did.
