Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort, Longboat Key FL

One of the best locations on Long Boat Key. Attentive staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Amazing sunsets. Great pool.

The only good thing about this place is the location. The room was so old and smelly and tiny. I’ll never go back.

Such a beautiful relaxing stay. 5 for sure. Everything within 15 min. Many activities on-site. Rooms were spacious and clean. Sunsets from beach or room were amazing!

Returning to silver sands after many years and it was just as fantastic as I remember.honestly even more! It was the perfect place to bring my family (family of 4 plus grandparents). The pool was fantastic, clean, and heated. They have pool toys, beach toys, umbrellas, etc.the beach was perfect in every way! Powder white sand, and the perfect view! Heaven on earth!

We love the beach and the pool here BUT it seems that everyone smokes and it definitely ruined the pool multiple times for our non-smoking family.
This is a nice place to rent a day or two with the family that is more cost conscious than others on Longboat

Old, dirty, uncomfortable! Was described as “beautiful “, not even close! Don’t waste your money here!

This would have been a 5.0 for overall, but the first couple of days, the pool was unavailable. Otherwise, this was an enjoyable stay. The beach was clean, the grounds were clean, the atmosphere was mild and relaxing (no loud noise, party animals) ; overall wonderful stay, couldn't ask for a better place to enjoy our 30th anniversary on Longboat Key!

3rd stay at Silver Sands on Long Boat Key since 2017. Room 255 disappointing. We have stayed in various units since 2017. Beach and location great. Numerous broken and or heavily rusted chairs and lounge chairs. I think this will be our last vacation at Silver Sands. Grounds are well taken care of but pool was murky when arrived but was serviced by the pool technician.

Great place to vacation. Quiet beaches with great sunset views. The room we stayed in was clean and quaint.

The location is good. It's beach side. The pool was really nice. But the rooms were from 1970s. Shower doors broken, kitchen faucet wiggling, vertical blinds missing slats, and the fridge was rusting. For the price, I would look around.

This place is a hidden gem. The woman helping us at the front desk was super awesome and so very nice. The only thing that I could suggest is in the smaller hotel rooms, a smaller lower table with two chairs would be really great. Hope to see you next year!

Great place to stay! Love the beachfront units. Clean, laid back and gorgeous! Very few places you can walk out from the lanai on to the beach and sand! Incredible experience!

Our 3rd trip to Longboat Key but first stay at the Silver Sands. It was a perfect location for us and a bonus was getting to use the free bikes at Cedars. We ate at Harry's, Blu Kouzina, Cafe L'Europe and Mar Vista, all of them I highly recommend.

Apart from biking and eating, we enjoyed long walks on the beautiful beach, dips in the pool and walks around Joan M Durante Community Park.

Margaret at the front desk is a complete treasure, she really is the best.

I would have given it 5 stars but the cleaning crew could do better. These units are small enough to keep clean but some things were a little dusty and we found nuts between sofa cushions and cotton buds under furniture.

2BR, 1.5BA, kitchen, living room was decent sized. The screened porch/patio was nice. The private beach was nice. Pool was heated.

Such a quiet hotel on Longboat Key! Clean rooms. Not a lot to do in the area but who cares, perfect for relaxing directly on the beach!

We stayed this at this place as an Airbnb. We did enjoy it. The rooms have a real weird layout. The front door actually walks into the bedroom. But we love the Lanai and the kitchens are all well stocked and fully operational. We love the heated pool since we were there in December. The beach was fantastic. They keep it nice and clean and because it's a private beach there wasn't tens of thousands of people there. Would stay here again.

Excellent place, rooms were clean, service was good, kept clean, perfect location from the beach. No vending machines or change machine for laundry. Not a huge deal but definitely inconvenient. I do recommend though.
