5Terrible bedside manner. Had some ringing in my ear slight hearing loss. He walks in, tells me he can give me a shot in my eardrum with a 50/50 chance to fix the problem. I say OK. He gives me the shot and leaves. I got a bill for $6500! Not for the office visit, but for the shot! How can a shot cost $6500? And if he shot costs $6500, he should state that upfront. He obviously just wanted the money.
Staff from the front end, to Dr Angeli. Very professional and thorough have scheduled a surgery for my ear and my confidence in the facility and staff are very good. I will follow up after my procedure.
I scheduled a checkup appointment with Dr. Angeli. To get an appointment with the doctor, you also get scheduled for a hearing test which is considered another appointment. So for the hearing check-up you have to pay two co-pays, one for the hearing test and the other to speak with the doctor.
When you get to the appointment they inform you that your appointment is considered taking place in a “hospital” so you will be charged for the “hospital” facility. I asked how much and was told my insurance would be billed $821 for the facility. I looked around and it didn’t seem like a hospital. Just as a side note, the bathroom was filthy and the paper towel machine didn’t work.
Ok, back to the appointment, since I was there already I decided to pay the hundreds of $$$ for my hearing check-up. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment when I finally sat down to wait for the hearing test. After waiting one hour and 15 minutes, I decided to give up and canceled both my appointments.
This is NOT the place to schedule a check-up! If you have plenty of time to wait and unlimited money, this is your place.
Dr. Angeli is very skilled Otolaryngologist, truly an exceptional doctor. His staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
