Simonton Beach reviews
14Nice small beach area. You have to rent certain chairs at the restaurant Lagerheads nearby. They are very nice and will tell how what's available and what has to be paid for. Also recommend them for drinks and food!
The beach is small, but there is a bar next to it. Today the current was really strong, but that could vary. Overall, it is a decent beach.
Really nice spot! Wish they had better wine in KW, but overall, it was a nice little spot.
I liked the "original beach", before they uprooted the existing, historic Palm Trees and the simple "Concession Stand" food service and no chairs. An in-town Beach used by Locals with nothing but a beach towel and swim suit, for a quick dip on a hot Summer day.
The "Newish" iteration is a good attempt for a "replacement". Staff, service and kibble are all good! The addition of chairs are nice as I enjoy my "vintage" years.
For a quick, no-fuss dip or more relaxation, this is the best public, ocean-access beach in Downtown KW.
Very very small little beach not a far walk away from the northern point of old town and Duval street. ***beware came here at night to watch the sunset and there was a fair amount of locals drinking beers, smoking weed which may not be what you want your kids to witness. However the locals were tame, dancing to some tropical music and having a good old time. Very relaxed non threatening vibe. The water was warm and the party scene pretty chill.
Lovely place located in a location from another era background music that comes from the bar on the beach and swimming in the water until sunset
It's a beach due to the technical definition of a beach. There's sand, there's water, there's a pier.
Very nice small, almost private beach, with possibility to buy drinks, also alcoholic ones…
We stayed over at Kimpton and asked the receptionist which was the closest walking distance beach, and we were told this was it! We got there a little before closing time, so we were able to get some drinks the water was very nice and warm. The ambience was amazing, you could literally see small fish, jumping in and out of the water!
Very cute and quaint little hidden Beach nestled right by a european-style beach coffee spot on the sand.
Not a normal beach. No beach area and rocks and a dock on each ends. Lots of seaweed. Cool place to visit though.
Definitely not a beach for large tour groups, but it is a cozy place for friends and families with a nice vibe and a convenient cocktail / snack bar. Sometimes there is even live music.
Dirty beach. Strong current that pulls you. There is not enough room for all of the people. Not enough shade.
Great little beach, clear water and barely any seaweed on the shore. What more could I ask for. There is an abundant amount of adults drinking alcohol so I wouldn't recommend bringing your child here.
