Sips Coffee Bar reviews
18Ordered drive thru Chai and Vanilla latte with mozzarella sticks. The coffee was delicious (ask for light ice) but the moz sticks were cold. Love the brand design though and will be back for the good drinks.
I made it to sips today 5 minutes prior to closing after waiting in line for 2 minutes. An employee came out and told me they have taken the last order, which was the ONLY car in front of me. That was very unprofessional. Not to mention, sips was recently acquired by Another Company some months ago. I think the poor may have to do with the take over.chick fa la would never!
The cashier seemed annoyed to take our order. The chicken salad was wet and messy to eat- also didn’t seem homemade. The croissant was not flaky. The mocha latte had a ton of foam- that’s ok with me- but had a strong flavor of Hersheys chocolate syrup. Overall- too expensive for the cheap seeming ingredients and poor service
Service is great. I went through the drive thru, and the only menu in sight is beyond the pickup window.
Love this place! Now I see they are expanding the shop larger. Always good coffee, I usually get the sugar free frozen caramel - but everything I've ordered here is really good.
How are there so many positive reviews? I eat a lot of egg sandwiches, and this was the worst I've ever had. Doesn't even stand up to a wawa sandwich which is sad. Bagel was hard as a rock and the scone was soggy, almost like it was frozen, thawed and microwaved. Muffin was decent
By far my favorite coffee shop on this side of town. Employees are always so pleasant and remember my order every time. They’re quick and accommodating. Love that it’s on the way to work every day. Delicious coffee every time.
The staff here is absolutely amazing! The morning girls are always happy to see you and willing to help with the perfect selection of coffee and breakfast. The new owners are a completely different story. As a regular at Sips for many years, you would think that if the owners happen to be in town and see you’re at their establishment 3 days in a row, they would say at the bare minimum “Hello. ”. NOPE! Rude and entitled. I have never felt so unwelcomed anywhere. It takes no effort at all to be a decent person, but that does not seem to be their nature. Perhaps it is a good thing that they only stop in occasionally, and allow their staff to be the face of the business.
Just boo.had no idea they were under new management. It shows. My friend and I ordered one mocha and one vanilla latte. They were both so sweet that you couldn't drink them. I asked if they could top me off with regular coffee to even them out and it was a huge imposition. They didn't have coffe to do that they said. They said they'd have to put a shot of espresso.needless to say, I just threw my $5.00 cup of sugar away. I'm so sad this was my go-to coffee place as it is by my child's School
I absolutely love this place! I’ve been coming here for YEARS! The girls are wonderful! So sweet, accommodating and always happy. I recommend this place to all my friends and family and everyone ALWAYS loves the coffee!
Typical problems you see with new ownership, they seem to be hiring people who have no idea what's going on, some of the old staff seems to be there which is good but the on-boarding seems to be a little rough, communication is non-existent with the new staff, the breakfast sandwiches etc have been a welcome addition to this establishment but the quality of the cold brew base coffee they use has gone WAY down hill and is very bitter now, (my partner's Reeses Mocha Freeze was bitter as well and is an espresso based drink, my cold brew almost tasted as if it was hot drip coffee thrown over ice, very acidic.) this was not the case during my countless visits prior to new ownership, not even once.there are definitely growing pains associated with changing hands of a business but the sharp decrease in quality is alarming
Great coffee, before and after new ownership.these plastic cups though are insanely cheap and flimsy, they can barely support the weight of the drinks they hold
Update: 9-3, coffee sucks now, I think they ran out of what the previous owners were using
9-18, I've reached out to sips privately with my feedback, they had no comment on the issues with their food/drink
Save your time and go to Starbucks waited in line for 15 min and left felt like I was going to spend all day in the line service is super slow
It is not the same since the new owners bought it. We’ve been regulars here for the past 3 years so we thought not much would change with the new ownership. We had the absolute worst customer service that we’ve had anywhere. The employees were rude and just didn’t care. The cup was leaking and the employees still didn’t care. The employees used to be so friendly and the coffee used to be delicious. Both of these things are no longer true. They also don’t have any speciality drinks anymore (like how they used to have a special combination each month and for holidays). It’s frustrating because this used to be our go to coffee place but now I’d rather go to Starbucks or Dunkin.
Been coming here for years. Unfortunately new ownership has taken over & it’s not for the better. Will not be going back. Teach your employees to make drinks correctly & step up your quality. You’ve given this gem a bad name. Miss Mrs. Carol.
In from out of town and went out of our way to come here based on the amazing reviews.
Got two drinks and both were so sweet that they weren’t even drinkable. Went to ask to have it topped off with black coffee to hopefully help the drink. That couldn’t be done and instead one shot of espresso was added (if it was even that, as he took my cup for 10 seconds and brought it back). Still horribly sweet. On top of that, and much worse, we paid and asked for oat milk to be used. We tasted it and anyone who drinks
Alternative milks will know if it’s real cream or not. The few sips we had we noticed seemed creamy. When we brought it back to add coffee we also confirmed it was made with oat milk as we are lactose intolerant and will get extremely sick otherwise… they said yes, I will tell you right now, the level of sickness we got soon after tells us they lied and it was 100% not oat milk. Unfortunately had to throw out $12 of coffees because there was no way of consuming them and ended up sick on our day exploring a new town. HIGHLY recommend you go to any other coffee shop.
This place is awesome. I not only enjoy the coffee but the hospitality on display is top notch.
Edited 8/31: Used to be my absolute favorite coffee shop for years. Unfortunately, it's under new management - and you can tell. If I got the same service and quality of coffee that I received today from any other coffee shop, I wouldn't go back. After being a customer here for years, I want the new owners to succeed and maintain the sips quality that I know and love, but I'm not so sure that will happen. I hate to say it but if things don't get better soon, I'll have to find a new coffee shop.
