Had my car towed while working for a client in DT. Driver was super respectful. Got my car out asap. Tow guys get a bad rap. I’m sure there are bad ones. The one I got tonight was a good one.

Urgent.ly sucks. ESPECIALLY in the middle of the night.
Mere minutes after they deigned it worthy to pay the bare minimum, skyway towing took the job and had me towed, the driver was amazing and because the place I picked was closed even took me to a place he knew could help me, at no additional charge, because it was close by.

They towed our company vehicle over the weekend.when it wasn't supposed to be enforce at the construction site for a few weeks but told us we had to pay in person but then took payment over the phone. He was incredibly rude for no reason.we were trying to get some more information and when he answered he told my employee I'm taking my kid to school and hung up.there are other company's that can enforce towing use them.

Firstly I will admit my fault, I parked in a tow away zone, the most egregious of crimes. For a grand total of two minutes (no exaggeration, if anything an over estimation) I was parked in a parking lot that was a tow away zone. In the time it took me to walk into the restaurant and pick up my to go order which was waiting for me on the counter and walk back to my vehicle it was gone. Where did I park? That was my first thought. I know I parked here but how could it be gone in under two minutes? Stolen? By who I wondered. Indeed it was stolen, but in the eyes of today’s sad societal constructs it was stolen legally. Taken for ransom by Skyway Towing and Recovery, I suppose my gripe is more so with the modern age and it’s greasy gears turning for the soul purpose of squeezing any little bit of hope for humanity out of its victims. I’m disappointed in the way of the world. Leave your car unattended for two minutes on the wrong spot of earth and it can often lead to a ruined end to a relatively bleak day. I’m disappointed that there are people in this world that are quite content with making a living off of other peoples misfortunes. No, the people employed at Skyway Towing and Recovery are not the only people on earth that have no issue with this, there are unfortunately many, many more. These are the people that I avoid at all costs. Unfortunately they wiggle their way into my life from time to time despite my wary ways. They were no doubt lying in wait for their next $140 on that evening that they took my vehicle. I will give credit where credit is due, they are masters of hooking up a vehicle and driving away with it, springing into action the moment you turn your back. There’s no way to prove it but I can just about guarantee that they were surveilling the lot, which I’m not sure is legal, but I am very sure that it is morally unsound. The sad fact is that humans in general will stop at nothing and give no second thought when there is money to be grabbed with their fat, greedy fingers. I only wish that I had been towed by a more reputable towing company that didn’t operate out of some sketchy back ally that wreaks of the rotten dystopia that is today’s American society. If the employees of Skyway Towing and Recovery do in fact read these reviews (a far stretch to assume this I’m sure) I do hope they consider this review a wake up call, and perhaps gain a desire to do something of purpose and meaning with their lives.

Predictor company. The city of St Pete is a hostile environment for people who try to support local businesses located in downtown St Pete. It’s a bad look for the city.

My late husband’s car was inadvertently towed and I had to jump through all kinds of hoops including a court order to get the car back. John was very kind through the whole process and I’m grateful for that.

Horrible towing! Ruined my bumper and charge ridiculously high to get my car from the impound.

I called and asked for rates cause I needed my car towed to a dealer and I was told “you can look it up online” makes sense why they have 1.7 stars and the rest are way better.

Obviously no one likes getting towed but this organization is a poor as it gets. Short, quiet, and rude. If you operate a business that needs to utilize towing use someone else. They claimed my money was fake (money that was given to me directly from a bank). Entire process of working with them was drastically less than desirable.

Last weekend I was in the St. Petersburg area, I'm not from that area, but we stopped to do some shopping at Publix. When we left the store, we noticed that our car was not there. They had taken it. We were only inside the store for 40 minutes. We went to this business to look for the car and there was no reason for them to take it away. We rent a UBER to get there (and we have the receipt and the purchase in our hands). The woman who served us was very disrespectful, rude, inefficient, the treatment was horrible, it's not just the fact that they are shameless on this site, if the bad treatment they provide there, I hope I never need their services, I do not recommend it!

Absolute Thievery! The shadiest “service” in the world by the most worthless profession on the planet. Can’t even think that you could make a living this way and be happy with yourself.

I know a lot of these towing company's catch a bad rap for doing their job and the opposite party not wanting to accept responsibility for their actions.

I would highly recommend this company for your towing needs. If they all carry the same honesty and integrity as Kendrick, you will be in good hands.

All bad reviews are most likely and unfortunately true. It’s sad that a company can only exist by taking advantage of the general population of St Pete. We all know parking is difficult to find “sometimes” downtown. But if you happen to find a place to park that is not marked at all do not get excited. There will most likely be a no parking sign hidden somewhere near by. And Skyway scouts will be checking out these money making areas every 10-15 min with tow truck in hand. 5 stars for the business model. 1 star for morality and ethics.

Horrible people who deserve everything that they will be getting when karma comes around. They are not helpful they are not considerate they force you to use a credit and debit card to make payment and they are just ugly people all around. This is a horrible business.

My boyfriend had his truck towed this afternoon. We forgot to pay the parking pass for a lot in downtown St. Pete so we were disappointed but not entirely surprised by the incident. When my boyfriend simply called to ask when someone would be at the tow lot to let him in, the person over the phone immediately had an attitude and was condescending on top of that. Overall the experience was more painful than necessary due to the lack of any semblance of customer service skills these workers may possess. Also the fact that they need to take your card inside to “document it” only to process your payment at your car is just plain sketchy.

This company is a joke towing cars that are legally parked, then demanding cash to have them drop your car from the truck. Kendrick wanted 100 cash to drop my car wasn’t even parked in a spot that said no parking called SPPD magically they price dropped to 62$ and I could use a credit card. This company is a scam they city of st Pete should be ashamed to allow company’s like this allowed in our town.

I parked in a public parking spot where I have been parking for years. Apparently the owner decided to change the parking situation. We were towed in 30 minutes and the guy that towed our truck was extremely rude. Not mad that they towed the car bc it happens in downtown st pete. The saint told us they just started towing six months ago. The manager of this company told us it’s normal to have bad customer service with a towing company and to check all of the reviews in the area.

Kendrick 106 is a great employee and did a good job handling multipe customers in the middle of the night and he even accomodated me and being patient as I had difficulty making payment. Thank you.

I was towed at about midnight, which frankly was my fault. I called the number on the sign and they answered immediately and quickly texted a nearby pickup address. I ubered there and was treated fairly, with respect and good customer service. Not a fun experience, but Kendrick made it tolerable.

Easy way to rip people off. Park my car in a designated space in reverse to unload groceries. This was at 11: 30 pm. Got ready to leave at 3am and car is gone. More cars around mine was parked in reverse but mine was the easy one to tow. Driver enjoyed the easy money. Karma will catch up. Hopefully.
