Skyway Trap & Skeet Club, St. Petersburg FL

The staff are wonderful and patient, particularly with kids. Yes, kids are welcome and it’s safe. Safety is paramount with the staff. This place is a hidden gem. Not a fancy place, mind you. But down-home comfortable, get-the-job-done kinda place.

Management is a den of thieves. Never use their RV Park. It was much better when Miss Eddie was in charge.

It was my first time here and they were awesome to explain how things work. We rented the guns and they were really clean. Very reasonably priced.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They were there looking after all of the guest showing concern for your safety and fun. Donna was great, nice and very helpful. She provided me great instruction since I had only done this once, a long time ago. My son and I had a great time.

My husband and I recently had the tremendous pleasure of staying at the Skyway RV Park, which is also the home of the Skyway Trap & Skeet Club.

This RV park is one of those rare gems that most serious RVers are always on the lookout for. It is right in the busy hub of St. Petersburg, Florida, literally minutes away from anything and everything that one could hope to enjoy while visiting the St. Petersburg area, yet the park itself is very much like a country oasis.

Once you enter the park, you are instantly transported into a serene country setting with clean and spacious lots, lovely greenery all around, and friendly and caring neighbors.

The RV park is quiet and pet friendly, with plenty of open grounds to walk your furry child, and safety and security is taken very seriously. Staff is routinely present, and kind and mindful neighbors watch out for other neighbors. There was never a moment where we did not feel safe and secure, even though bustling St. Petersburg is mere minutes outside the park.

Though we, personally, did not take advantage of the Skyway Trap & Skeet Club during our stay, we were able to check out the operations of it, and from safety to the multiple disciplines offered, it is first-rate all the way.

We met the Skyway Trap & Skeet Club range managers, Bonnie and Marvin, and not only are they some of the most welcoming, hilariously entertaining folks one could ever meet, their professional credentials and impressive qualifications are, undisputedly, world class. Between the two of them, they have it all.

If you are looking for a hoity-toity, spa type RV park with the fancy inflated price tag to match, Skyway RV Park may not be the experience for you because it’s a down to earth, pure just plain ole clean fun, nice folks, and very affordable experience.

We absolutely loved it there and cannot wait to go back!

Today I went to skyway trap & skeet club to shoot around of skeet for the second time in my life. It was my first time at skyway, Marvin the club pro took the time to pull for me and gave me a lot of good advice and tips, very enjoyable round thanks to Marvin. I will go back again and again. Fantastic trap and skeet range! It's located right off 19 and Gandy and is open until 10PM Wed, Thur, and Friday so I can stop in for a quick game after work. They have new games beyond trap, including doubles, wobble trap, five stand, and more. If you love shotgun shooting, you'll love Skyway Trap and Skeet Club.

Great shooting club. They've expanded from just Trap and Skeet to ten different games including "Doubles" and "Five Stand" now, and have made many improvements to the infrastructure. I just started shooting Clay's a few months ago, but thanks to excellent instruction from the club pros, my shooting skills have improved and I really enjoy my time there. It's a lot of fun for very ittle cost. I highly recommend Skyway Trap and Skeet.

This place has is has a new face. Marvin the new pro has turned this place around. They now have skeet, wobble and 5 stand.

He makes this place fun! I use to come 3 or 4 times a year now will be a regular.

What a fun place! They were open until 10pm which made it fun to go to after work. They were not crowded and very friendly. They are VERY republican so beware. Prices were reasonable and guns were nice. We’ll be back!

I checked out the Club for the first time today and was very impressed. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Ernie trapped for our group and we had a great time. I will be back often.

I'm a regular at the Skyway Trap club and I enjoy it every time I go. The staff are very friendly, but they are very serious especially when it comes to safety. Most people feel they are being rude when all they are trying to do is make sure you are being safe.

Had an absolute blast here this past weekend. We had a group of 12 guys for a bachelor party. They were joking right along with us, and gave helpful tips to help us all improve our shooting and experience. If i lived local, I'd be there all the time. Really can't say enough how much fun we had.

I have read the reviews, some people talk about a rude staff, I disagree. The staff at Skyway Trap and Skeet are not rude, unless you think enforcing safe gun handling is rude. I feel confident that when I shoot at Skyway Trap and Skeet I wont end up being shoot. If you know safe gun practices you will have a great time, if you are doing something wrong they will tell you. I have been corrected on things I was doing wrong, but its all about keeping everyone safe. I would highly recommend shooting at this facility, you will have a blast!

I should have read the reviews. They are not very welcoming to foreigners to a point where there is hostility. I used to enjoy going to this place so it’s a real shame the way they treated my dad and me last time. The range manager was very rude and for no necessary reason, and his comments condescending to our group.

Great service great staff I will be back again with all the guys from spinwurkz 5 stars all day love this place best place to have a blast.
