Sleep Inn near Sandestin Beach

LOCATION:

Very good hotel close to Miramar Beach. Accross the street is the outlet with famous brands. Fast food restaurants are nearby.

CHECK IN:

Check in was fast. I drove from ATL about 5 hours, came early than check in time, 14.00 hours. Check in guy was helpful, who arranged our rooms and gave keys. What a wonderful feeling after long drive!

ROOMS:

Rooms were good, so were beds. Everything was in working order.

BREAKFAST:

Breakfast was good, offered lots of choices.

POOL:

Pool was just OK. Remember: You are close to Miramar beach, which is better than pool. But, if you are "pool guy", pool is not big, but as I said "OK".

RESULT:

I stayed at this hotel twice with very good feelings. Highly recommended!

Old rooms and the water leaked out of the shower because the glass door was not aligned properly. I wasn't big on the tile floor. They did keep it pretty clean and it was super affordable.

This location needs remodeling-worn out. My room had a smell-stunk. TV wouldn't work without manager working a button behind TV.

There was a cockroach in my room. And my quilt had a hole in it on both sides. When I went to breakfast they didn't have eggs or bacon or anything. A waffle maker which was good. Cereal and muffins and yogurt. The coffee tastes horrible. And when I told the guy at he front desk Sunday morning for.check out, he was like sorry. Have a good day. Didn't seem to even care.

We were upgraded to a King suite and the room was very nice very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again when I’m back in Destin!

If you're on a budget and not looking for a lot of options, this place is a good one.
Location wise - this is placed at the best possible place. Just outside the hotel is Tacobel, Whattaburger, Holi and other eating places. A lot of shopping places are at walking distance. And it is only 15 mins walking from Miramar beach.

Coffee is free day long, however breakfast options are limited, and same everyday (danish, waffels, yogurt etc). Apple and Orange juice is also available.

Swimming pool is available, but I don't think it serves the purpose of a display. We didn't see anyone using it, as it was small and not too tidy.

Parking was free, and plenty of lots were available.

Only issue we faced was housekeeping. None came to clean the room willingly during our four nights of stay. The staffs don't talk too much - and I feel this is one area where they can really improve. Although we stayed outside taking tour of Destin, so we didn't bother too much.

Room was about the size we wanted - neither too big, nor too small. It had a microwave oven, iron and iron stand, coffee maker. Bed was comfortable, and AC worked great. The washroom was good too, although we felt a foul smell at times (not too much to complain).

Overall, value for money. We didn't want to spend high on accomodations, and for the amount we spent, we were satisfied.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I would not recommend this location at all! I booked the room through Expedia. The reviews were not bad there so I booked anyway. Believe the ones here. The bathroom area is very small, there shower door just swings and if you aren't careful the water will be all over the floor. I did not like having to strategically shower to keep the floor from getting drenched. There is no screens on the windows, so if you happen to not latch the window all the way someone could climb right through. We were supposed to stay until Wednesday but while we were laying down someone actually put a key in our door and was able to almost completely access our room. I believed it was housekeeping at first but when I went out of the room there were no carts or anyone in the hall. Whoever did not announce themselves or anything. My brother goes to the front desk and they say there is no housekeeping coming by at this time.now I go to the front desk and the staff was saying that all the staff on the premises was behind the desk at that moment. Then I mentioned the door was opened and now a "maintenance man" is going around. So we checked out early. Then wehn I was on the phone with Expedia they advised the expedia agent that it was a customer who accessed my room by key. That should not happen at all. AVOID THIS SKETCHY PLACE!

Took a chance on this place after reading some of the reviews and to be honest our experience wasn't bad at all. The room was clean and smelled great. Location was decent. Right on the strip with tons of stores and restaurants surrounding. Approximately 17 mins from the center of Destin

My wife and I have a fantastic time on our Anniversary. The hotel is in a great location. Not to far, not to close to anything. Very quiet, clean and safe was Great as well. My wife is a nurse so we were able to get a better rate for her being a First Responder!

Rooms are stinky. Carpet is gross. Nees a complete over haul. Pillows and bed was comfy but with the stench it was hard to relax.
However staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great hospitality and atmosphere! I would definitely revisit. Nice clean rooms and Mgmt team.

Upon arrival I was presented with a key with a Wi-Fi password. The room that was given to us was dirty but we were given another room immediately. The rooms are small but functional. The room came with a microwave and a mini fridge. The hotel also offered breakfast but unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the breakfast since it was mostly all gone by the time I went downstairs. The only complaint would be the shower. Water was leaking everywhere. I felt like I was swimming in the tiny bathroom. I also do recommend they at least hire an additional person to sit at the front desk. Every time I needed assistance there was no one there. This hotel is great for the price and if I had to do a last minute stay again—I would choose this hotel again.

Dirty floors, ac not working properly, fridge didn’t work, ice machine didn’t work, trash everywhere, toilet not secured properly to the floor. Worst of all is a dishonest staff
Beware of this hotel

Sleep inn was a last minute decision, because my family and I wanted to stay an extra night in destin. It serves the purpose having a place to stay at night and breakfast in the morning wasn’t bad, but there are so many different options and nicer places to stay in Destin don’t waste money here.
Double beds were small and stiff and the room was small. The sink in our room was very loose and the temp for the shower is backwards. Blue gave hot water and red gave cold water.

Do not stay here! 1 star for the front desk lady that understood the situation and didn't charge me for canceling the reservation after I was already checked in BUT I would give the facility 0 stars. The room was disgusting. The sheets were full of hairs. Yellow stain on it. The building and rooms smell like mold, mildew, cigars. The shower leaked everywhere. We left this hotel with a headache and a itchy throat. If i could post pics I would!

I stayed from Tuesday to Tuesday, 7.5 to 7.12. Amazing, loved it. Same lovely staff as always

The rooms are small but very functional. They have microwave and mini fridge and TV with cable. There is also wifi and you get the pass code when you get your room key. They serve breakfast at 630 am only issue I had was the milk was sour even though it still had one more day a on the expiration date. The place inside looks old but for the price everything is about right. The customer service we did not have a lot of experience to say it's an excellent service that is why I put 3 stars I am not sure on that matter. The hotel is about 15 minutes walking from a beach entrance and if you drive by car the map says its about 2.5 miles but since there is a lot of traffic and a lot of people walking it takes about 15 minutes to get to the beach by car. So about the same time as walking but in car you can take more stuff with you. We noticed people walking their pets on the beaches but this hotel is not pet friendly.
There is also a pool but we did not use but from what I noticed it did not seemed bad.

Friendly customer service support, clean and comfortable rooms with very comfortable bed. I booked through booking.com (TravelJunky) I'll be staying at sleep inn in the future travels.

We found a bed bug immediately when walking into our room. The employee gave us a refund without any questions and we left.

Nice clean rooms. Kind employees. Great hot breakfast. Close to the beach, restaurants and shopping areas. Reasonable priced
