Great company. They offer a great selection of products and the sales team really makes you feel taken care of. I highly recommend Michael Jordan especially. If there's ever an issue with an order, they take care of it. We have accounts elsewhere in the area but they do things right here.

Being a woodworker, I'd expect better customer service so that they could get more business from me. But they're overpriced. Even with five people at the counter no one said hello.

These people were extremely disrespectful and I personally will never be coming back for the lack of hospitality and horrible service.

We found the best quality products with Smith & DeShields and an incredibly helpful team. Our order was delivered on time and we had a wonderful customer service experience. Will definitely return with our next project!

I had the pleasure of working with Michael Jordan recently at Smith & DeShields in Naples, FL. He provided excellent customer service! He was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations for the right type, size and color cabinet pulls for my new kitchen. He was very responsive on email and phone calls, and made the whole process stress free! Per his recommendation I ordered EMTEK Select - Black and brass Knurled pulls. They are stunning and great quality. I couldn't be happier with the hardware.

Regarding the delivery with 53-foot trucks, this site is somewhat complicated for downloads and movements, pay close attention that this here is crazy, the customers, their Truck boxes and someone.with a 53 in there, there is little space, but there they are hard workers and they download you quickly

I'm going to revise my review. It appears there is some discrepancy on what I thought I heard and what the salesperson claims they said about lead time. Using the lead time they claim, we're still a week or two past it. I can understand a delay. But a little communication would prevent a lot of angst. I'll comment in the quality when the doors are delivered.

Mark Mitchell of Smith & DeShields helped us find the perfect PBI Doors for the interior of our home in SWFL. The beautiful doors needed some TLC on the 5 lite glass panels. Mark arranged for PBI specialists Rick Swann and Laz Leiva to come to our home and buff the frosted glass lites. Rick and Laz were terrific.and so is the result. Many thanks to all for such excellent customer service.and exceptional product design!

After Hurricane Ian, homeowners needing repairs turned to Smith & DeShields for moldings, doors, and more. Their selection is wide-ranging, with quality choices. His kind, knowledgable, service-oriented approach was invaluable to us as we worked through the products we needed to restore our home. Just wanted to share a bit about Tim Piscitelli. He helped me with a small project and gave me all the attention and information that I am sure he would give someone for a huge project. I could not have made the decisions about my cabinet hardware without him! I have always chosen S and D over the "big box" stores because of their stellar customer service. With so much selection, it can be daunting. We worked with Tim Piscatelli to select cabinet hardware when redoing our kitchen. He steered us to the hardware that exactly matched our vision and it was a cost effective choice as well. Great experience all around.

Pat Purnell was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Our GC was of no help, but Pat came to our condo and provided solutions to badly hung doors and insulation for leaking doors. Thank you Pat!

First time stopping in the showroom. Tons of hardware options on display. Super busy but once it's your turn, you get waited on personally. I appreciated the displays and service.

I used Pat Purnell for the purchase of new front double doors and he was very thorough in making sure measurements for the doors were accurate, visiting multiple times to make sure he had the precise opening measurement right before placing the order. He was very responsive to calls or emails as well which unfortunately is rare today
He also recommended Northall contracting do the installation who was great. It was easy to schedule an appointment with them, they consistently communicated, showed up on time, and did a great job with the installation.
If you are considering a project that will require a product from Smith and DeShields, or any lumber yard, I would highly recommend Pat Purnell as your sales person.

Dealing with them post hurricane has been a terrible experience. We ordered interior doors, base and casing molding for an entire home mid October. The entire order was paid for up front. We were told 6-8 weeks for the door portion. We have called, went into the store and emailed numerous times. Usually with no response from them at all. No one can or will even let us know when anything will be ready. When we asked to speak to our salesperson we were told they can’t guarantee he will respond. Apparently no one else in the company can answer when we will get our materials. It has now been 12 weeks since we ordered. Still no date in sight.

We initially had a negative impression of Smith & DeShields because our quote got lost in the shuffle during a very hectic post-Hurricane Ian period. But Cyndi reached out to us and got us back on track and Pat was super helpful through the process. We ended up getting Emtek brushed nickel handles to replace our old polished brass ones and are very happy with the result. Both Cyndi and Pat really went all out to earn our business and we were very happy that we did this project with their help. Every business has an occasional hiccup, especially during very busy times, but it's clear that every customer is important to Smith & DeShields and they certainly went out of their way to rectify things. Thank you both!
