Smitty’s BAR-B-Q, St Cloud FL

A good rule to measure a Barbque place is either by their brisket or ribs. With that said, I ordered ribs. As a biker, you generally try to find the small business restaurants to eat at, and that's what we did, but this time, it was not up to par. The service was great, the atmosphere was good but the food was just ok. My ribs looked like they were cooked in an oven and were only cooked. Most places that have ribs you want that fall off the bone cooked effect, but this place didn't. I don't like talking bad about a small business, especially in the current economy we are in, but the complaints I have are an easy fix. Just need to do better with your cooking. The Cole slaw was mediocre at best (eat able but nothing fantastic) the beans were ok (needs a little bit more seasoning) and the ribs just need to be cooked longer and slower and put a better dry rub on it then whatever you use because it had no flavor. My wife had something off the breakfast menu, and she will be doing her own review. Just some friendly advice from a Barbque enthusiast. But other than a few minor fixes, I think you could improve. This place isn't bad, and the pricing isn't bad either. I would like to come back a visit again but I would hope some improvements get made.

Great BBQ. The sauce was delicious. The kids had hamburgers that were big and tasty. And the cheese curds were a great start! We will be returning.

My husband wanted BBQ for his birthday. I ordered ribs, brisket and pulled pork for 20 people. It was a hit! Everyone loved it. Their sauces are so good. Great BBQ! The staff was great, definitely will order from them again!

What a wonderfully friendly place out in the middle of nowhere. Easy parking. Excellent food. Feels like home but the food is better!

Have consumed steak and eggs, followed by a hamburger and one pound of brisket. Everything was excellent. The personnel was courteous and the facility was spotless. As well as the table chairs and booths, the restroom might use some updating. Would have no trouble though stopping there anytime I am in the area. Some delicious home cooking

I go there fairly regularly for breakfast and dinner once in a while. Glad we have them in Holopaw.

So this place was amazing. There were 5 of us and we had the gizzards, a couple different types of wings, the ribs, and a burger. Every dish was excellent! And the gizzards come with a secret sauce created by one of the cooks. (which they sell for $5, I bought one) This is not a fancy place. In fact, it's the opposite.:) The staff was the best part of the visit. So kind and friendly. I felt like I was in their house. Noah was cooking and Shelby was front of house. Loved them both. I'll be back for sure! (it is in the middle of nowhere)

Some folks might say that Smitty’s is out in the middle of nowhere, and in reality, it probably is, but, with very little traffic once your east of Narcoossee, it’s a short drive from St. Cloud and even shorter from The Manor or Harmony.
My family dines here every couple of weeks, we’ve enjoyed each meal, from breakfast to lunch and even dinner.
Sometimes it’s a bit of a wait on your meal but the food is being cooked to order, it’s not coming down an assembly line, wrapped in wax paper and thrown into a bag.
It’s really good, Home Cooked Food.
My favorite is the huge cheeseburger, I like mine well-done and it’s been perfect every time.
My husband and neighbor LOVE the fried gizzards.
Skip those restaurants in ST. Cloud and Give Smitty’s a try, I think you’ll enjoy this small town diner.

This restaurant used to be called the Holopaw Diner (if I remember correctly) but the original owners apparently retired and shut the place down. I was a bit devastated because it was THE best place to stop on those long trips down 441. Well I'm happy to report that it has re-opened as "Smitty's BBQ" -and it is even more fantastic than it was before. The menu has been greatly expanded, for starters. And the food is mouth-watering. Your biggest problem will be deciding what you want. Someone else here said the beef brisket is delicious. I'll second that. Even if you don't travel 441, I recommend that you go here at least once to try the food out.

The bathroom could do with a makeover as well as the table chairs and booths. Would have no problem though stopping there anytime I am in the area. Some good home cooked food.

Passing though headed home to Palm bay, we stopped in for lunch, it was spectacular! Our server was absolutely amazing, she was so friendly and welcoming. Our family had the gizzards as an app, burgers and kids hot dog, everything was incredible! The gizzards were so good we are planning A weekend trip back just for a basket! Thanks Smitty's!

Best BBQ I’ve ever had! This place is a must stop when you’re passing through; even worth driving out of your way. The staff were amazing and so welcoming.

They are so kid-friendly, my grandkids felt like royalty and were so happy when their coloring book pages went on the wall! If I didn’t live 2+ hours south, I’d frequent weekly!

We live just up the road from this fabulous, family owned, mouth wateringly scrumptious restaurant. The staff is fantastic and inviting, the food is so delicious that we will be back with friends. I highly recommend everyone visit—but leave me a table—we will be back.

All the cold salad sides were warm. The macaroni and cheese had no flavor and and was very pasty, sweet potato fries were limp like they forgot to deep fry them. The girl who answered the phone had no idea what kind of ribs they were and if they were dry rubbed or had a sauce on them. With that being said the ribs had good flavor and were tender, the pork was decent, and the sauces were good. Would I go again No. I spent $30.00 for food we didn't eat. Maybe In a few months I would try it again.
