Snuba of Key West

We took our boys (13 & 9) here and introduced them to the world of SCUBA with their SNUBA program. Captain Joel, Lilly, and Koi were not only professional but also very patient. We will definitely be back.

First time divers and it was a great experience! I will forever be grateful and always remember the crew, they help me with the proposal under the sea. SHE SAID YES! The crew was extremely nice and patience with all of us. Greatly recommended!

Amazing experience! I’m not a strong swimmer, I can stay afloat and swim underwater but not to a point where I’m comfortable actually scuba diving. I found snuba and was fully prepared to do it. On the way there I heard on the radio about a vacationer drowning while scuba diving a couple of days before. Instant worry because I have no idea what I’m doing. When I arrived at the boat I was greeted by the sweetest lady. My nerves calmed. Heading out to the reef she thoroughly explained the process and of course she has to say what can go wrong. Fear creeps up again. When we got into the water and was about to dive down I froze. Everything I knew could go wrong coupled with the weight she has to put on to get us down just had me panicking. I didn’t want to get down and it go wrong so I told her I was too nervous and I might need to go back to the boat. Instead of just letting me give up she said hold on. Let me take the weight off and you go under without it and get a feel for it. You can just look around from the top without fully diving down. So I gave it a go, held onto the raft and saw everything from there. It was still an incredible experience even though I didn’t get to touch anything or get face to face the water was so clear and I was still very close so I feel like I didn’t miss out. Thank you so much for not letting me give up and thank you so much for an unforgettable experience.

Snuba experience is worth every penny. Our guide always made us feel safe and never let me, being a bit terrified, out of her sight. Great experience in Key West, highly recommend.

We had amazing time with the team of snuba key west (Bryce, lily, cap dan). They make sure we were comfortable with everything. Will come back again for sure.

The only complaint I have is that I wish I would have waited to purchase photos until I was able to see photos taken. Wasn’t able to have any photos of me SNUBA-ing. All the photos are of a party of 4 and the other 6 people had little to no photos of them. Otherwise it was a great time and would highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous time with Captain Justin and our dive guide Lily. They were both great at explaining everything. We felt very safe and well-prepared for our first Snuba experience. We saw tons of fish. Thank you guys again for a great time!

Incredible experience! It was a clear day so we saw a bunch of fish like barracuda, midnight and redlip parrotfish, and schools of damselfish like blue tang and sargeant major. Captain Joel, Rice and Lily were very friendly and professional. Rice shared the names of the fish we would see before we got into the water, and sure enough, we saw those! Lily and Rice also took great pictures of us underwater. Captain Joel was very helpful with getting in and out of the water.

I thoroughly enjoyed our snuba experience. Madison and Captain Zappa were great hosts. I appreciated the small group size, and the boat is very spacious. It took me awhile to get the breathing part, but once I was underwater, it was easier. All I can say is remember to Completely Exhale if you want to sink! We got to see some great coral, purple sea fans, and absolutely beautiful parrot fish. Overall it was great and I would love to try it again now that I understand the breathing part. The captain Zappa was very helpful in getting maks and fins to fit perfectly, which most hosts never bother to help with (and it can mean the difference between a great trip and a bad one) so I really appreciated that.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definetly recommend and look forward to going again on our next trip. Hope to be able to get open water certificate as well.

Had a really great time over spring break. Madison was wonderful explaining everything. Charlie was the photographer and both were busy keeping things safe for travel and the Snuba experience. I’m sorry I forgot our captain’s name! He was funny and I didn’t have any worry about getting left behind (haha). 10/10 would go again. We saw a sea turtle and lots of colorful fish. Seeing a live coral reef was also a great experience.

Joel, Madison and Nichole were really professional but also made us very comfortable and explained everything so well. The experience was outstanding and well worth the money - first-timers don’t be afraid it is so much fun!

We just went with Snuba of key west 4/10/2023. The captain, diving guides and diving photographers are extremely courteous, accommodating and of course patient especially with underwater mouth breathers that can not swim well. Absolutely no scuba diving experience needed but by the end of the trip you get the scuba experience without all the gear and certifications. I highly recommend going with them to see the reef closer than you can snorkeling, we were on our snuba rig 20’ under water enjoying eels, rays, parrot fish (their sand production) grouper and snapper. Madison and the photographers were amazing and are always checking that your safe and ok. Thank y’all so much, my girlfriend and I had the best time and experience.

Snuba Key West was a fun adventure for us! We definitely want to go again next time we are in Key West! Madison and Charles were so awesome in the water. They are patient, informative, and kind. Captain Joel was awesome and even slowed down when he spotted a dolphin so we could see the dolphin up close.

I’m leaving a middle 3 star review based on my personal experience. Maybe the bad part of my trip is because we went on a day that it wasn’t busy. Seems like that would have been a good thing but it wasn’t. We took the smaller boat which was fun. We had a two person crew. They were reasonably nice. There was very little to no information given before the trip as far as general instructions on how snuba works and it was my first time doing snuba. The guide put me and my friend’s air tank on the same float as the other two customers’ tank that we did not know. So four airlines coming off of one float felt like a tangled up mess. My friend and I wanted to go slower but were drug along behind the other people. In all fairness we are 49 & 50 and the couple are much younger. The guide stayed with them and didn’t check on us straggling behind. Obviously I’m not a natural to snuba but I honestly think with more instruction in the beginning and with a separate float for pairs of two I would have actually been able to enjoy it.

Snuba was such an amazing experience. Captain John gave us a smooth ride to the location. Nick was was fun and very informative. Also, loved the pictures that he took. A fun souvenir of a great day. C. J was an awesome instructor. He was very clear on his instructions and made sure we were safe and had a good time. He was also very knowledgeable and patient. I panicked at first and he helped me get through it. By the end I felt very comfortable and look forward to doing it again.

My husband and I had so much fun! We had a semi private snuba experience which made it even better! It was our first experience with diving and CJ was very experienced and made us feel safe and confident with his thorough safety instructions. We didn't get to see any big fish due to storm coming but overall great first time experience that made us want to get dive certified. Thank you Captain Joel and CJ!

We did a private Snuba tour with Captain John and Tour guide CJ. What can we say, they were the best. CJ did such an excellent job, we picked up everything so fast. I highly recommend you request these guys.

The aquatic life we seen was unbelievable.

Madison and the crew were amazing. She deserves a bonus! Such an amazing girl. She taught us so much and made our trip super fun. I can’t wait to go again!
