Sol by the Sea, Key Largo FL

Delicious food, with a spectacular view of the water, right from the table! I will definitely be back.

It was amazing being at Sol By The Sea I visited there today with my family we are at vacation in key largo heard about this place and had visited there we loved the way we was greeted by Shiv (the host). He was very polite in talking and gave us the table we wanted and the food was amazing.

The place was really awesome! So relaxing view by the sea, a warm welcome with a sweet smile by the host shiv was overwhelming. He gave us the table which we can see beautiful full view of the sea. Food was delicious, definitely we'll come back to visit the place with my friends.

Dining at Sol by the Sea in Key Largo, Florida, was truly delightful, especially thanks to their amazing food.

Our server, Alex, was friendly and made our meal even better.

Now, let's talk about the food – it was outstanding! Every dish was a delicious journey by the sea, filled with fresh, aromatic ingredients. Whether it was the perfectly grilled fish or the mouthwatering seafood pasta, Sol by the Sea showed their talent in creating dishes that celebrated Key Largo's seafood in the most delicious way.

The restaurant had a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and their menu had a variety of options to suit different tastes.

Service and views are awesome, but the food was the worst I ate during my two week trip around Florida, and the most expensive. We had the lambi to start and were up all night very poorly.

Food was excellently prepared and the plating was impeccable. Service from our server (I think we got lucky since it seemed like this gentleman was likely the best server of all of them, based on looking at the others who all seemed kind of robotic and our server was super friendly, helpful, and efficient). We also appreciated how the head chef came out to greet everyone at their tables including us…seems like a super nice, friendly guy and was there to answer any questions we had. I would’ve given Sol by the Sea 5 stars BUT we were taken back by the extra 20% “service charge” that our server explained was a tip that is shared across all the servers and staff; of course I felt the need to provide an additional 20% tip that’s specifically went directly to our one and only server. But seriously, $230 total then for 2 fish dishes, 1 Caesar salad shared between the two of us, a couple drinks, 1 beer, 1 cappuccino, and 1 very small piece of mediocre key lime pie (this is Key Largo folks) …that meal would’ve and should’ve been $180 with 20% tip to the server just 25 miles north in Miami. While we appreciated the food and the atmosphere, they’re price gauging customers who may or may not be tourists…we live just 65 mi north in Palm Beach County. So I took 2 stars off for this nonsense!

I love being able to dock our boat or seaplane and walk right in. Great service and enchanting atmosphere, especially when the sun sets. Enjoy.

Amazing AS ALWAYS. Always great service, friendly and welcoming, and delicious food, drinks and dessert! Leticia, sweetest hostess sat us at the most comfortable table with gorgeous view, Ismiel was the friendliest and most accommodating server (and very kid friendly), and Chef Ricky prepared food cooked to perfection even with special requests. Would love to keep this place my little secret so I don't have to fight the rest of you for a table but it would be a crime not to post the very well deserved compliments to this amazing staff. By the way, we have been here several times and its ALWAYS the same friendly service accompanying flavorful food! Much love, thank you always for treating us like family:)

Chef Ricky Burke is amazing! Made us a special app and his table side service is the best! Made us come back a second night!

Chef Ricardo is a great host, tremendous chef, and his team from Gloria our waitress, to the host, were amazing. Everybody makes you feel so welcome. And the food and ambiance are the icing on top.

Our expectations were high, the reality was completely different. The service was bad, slow, nobody worried about water refills or anything else. Several of our plates were either undercooked or overcooked. They burned the stakes on our table and sent undercooked lobster. Tip is included reason why they don’t put the extra effort to do anything, not even cook reasonable food. This hotel is good, but this restaurant is BADDDDDD. Please go somewhere else if you are used to restaurants knowing how to provide good service and good food.
