Solar Nails Spa, Port Orange FL

Hi went in today as a new customer & my anxiety was all over the place. Had my friend/ owner at other places for over 5 yrs but unfortunately she isn’t well to do any more nails so was forced to find a new shop. I had a customer at my bait shop recommend me to Solar nails n decided to make an apptment & definitely was an awesome experience. Got a pedi n new set (gel) and let me tell you I am very picky but had no complaints. Felt at home with Vi and her girls. Naren is my new nail girl and she is AWESOME at pedicures and manicures. But Angie and Victor and the staff are great! It is a very clean and sanitized environment and fun!

After a terrible experience in NSB I came here and Jimmie made my nails whole! I’m a customer now! And the pricing is right!

This review is on my wife, Penny Kaye Conley’s behalf! She is the one this happened to. This was very disconcerting to both of us! At this age, she isn’t able to type this in. I got acrylic gel nails & a deluxe pedicure. The pedicure went fine. First of all, I told the nail technician that I wanted light pink gel nails. I fully expected to look at different shades of light pink as I would have done anywhere else. He told me to sit down. He picked the color he wanted to use. The gel is transparent & I can see my natural nail tips! I am 66 years old & have a yellowish color under my nail tips. Gel color has always covered that up. Not this gel color! The nail job went slowly & I had to tell the person doing my nails to even up the longer ones NUMEROUS TIMES! He sanded & filed over & over & over! Then, the tips of 3 nails were not straight across. I had to tell him 5 TIMES to make them straight across the top! I had asked for short, even nails. Apparently, this small thing was too much of a challenge for him! Paid & tipped moderately, but will never return to Solar Nails again. I visit my nail spa for a pleasant experience. This was time consuming & frustrating! Later, around 5: 55 pm. I realized that I had accidentally left my umbrella at Solar Nails. Called & asked if I could pick it up the next day. Was told that they were closing up & to come now to get it. I was home but went back out to retrieve my umbrella. The “OPEN” sign was lit up in their window. Two customers were getting pedicures while 1 was getting her nails done. OBVIOUSLY not closing! Instead of placing my 11” Totes umbrella under the counter, they had thrown it into a corner near the floor! (A brand new umbrella!) It was rudely handed to me! These are horrible people to be dealing with the public! I will be going back to my previous nail spa. The price is maybe $5-$10 higher, but like my mother taught me, you get what you pay for!

Ashley & Angie are amazing! My mom & I enjoy cooking to see them and getting our nails done. But it really seems as though every customer enjoys the services of all their techs. If you haven't yet, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you give them a try.

Excellent relaxing atmosphere. I Truly had a wonderful experience with Just sitting back relaxing and getting a wonderful pedicure with gel polish of course it lasts the longest and it stays on pretty good if you swim a lot

I had a pedicure done by Jimmy. He was great! My dry feet feel so much better after a deluxe pedicure with gel polish!

My finger nail was ruined by one of the male nail techs. He filed my nail so far down it went into my nail bed. I discussed with the manager and he called me a liar. Bad business. This particular nail tech did the same thing to me in a different nail salon he had worked for.

STAY AWAY! On 8/30/23 I came in for a French nail polishing. I just had a manicure 5 days ago at another place & the nail color was chipping off. When the older woman at station 5 sat down.she came with an attitude. I said pleasantly that I just had a manicure a few days ago, could she just file the sides of my nails a little. The length is perfect. It takes a long time for my nails to grow out & stay even. She started filing down my index finger nail be the tip of my finger. I said please don’t file them so short. She folded up her towel & said “I will not do your nails - you will tell me you don’t like them”. I said “ I have never had someone tell me how long or short my nails were going to be”. She would not listen to me and it was her way or she would NOT do my nails.

Just unbelievable. I will never go there again. I think she was possibly the owner. She was angry when she sat down… “I will not do your nails! ”

Getting your nails done should be a nice experience. Not at Solar Nails in Port Orange.

This place was not good, and they were aggressive. I will never go there again. They are not good for a little girls first experience.

I had a great experience today. Everyone was considerate and happy to accommodate, especially since I was a late walk in. Thank you for a relaxing manicure and pedicure

Not happy at all. The lady Angie did an amazing job on my pedicure. The guy who did my nails was horrible. I gave a design of what I wanted to him and he did the absolute opposite. Instead of him saying he couldn't do it he kept on and kept messing up. I was there for four hours. I told the owner and all I got was an apology which was cool. But no resolution was offered nor was a discount on my services. I still payed and even tipped although I was not pleased I will let Angela do my pedicure again but no one will touch my fingernails again
