Sonesta Select Boca Raton

I was placed here through a travel app after indicating it was a vacation for my husband and I. I asked for a beachfront. Since it was a deal I was stuck with it and was told it was walking distance to the ocean. Not true. It's in the middle of the highway. I would have rented a car if the hotel was better.

Customer service and security (Shane) was great. Rooms are a bit small and it was a little unpleasant to have the smell of Marijuana everytime we opened our door. And all the doors say NO SMOKING. So everyone is not pleased to have that aroma in their space.

I highly recommend Sonesta Select Boca Raton for anyone visiting on a business trip or just for pleasure. The room was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay

The hotel itself boasts an impressive range of facilities, making it a perfect choice for both work and relaxation.

The location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby attractions and business centers. The room was spacious, providing ample space to unwind after a long day.

Overall, I felt extremely comfortable throughout my stay and would gladly choose Sonesta Select Boca Raton again in the future

**Update** I had a conversation with Dan, regional manager for sonesta select hotels and he assured me this is not how they allow guests to be treated and apologized for the behavior of that one employee that has been mentioned time and time again in many of reviews. Offered to pay a reasonable amount of the bill however he insisted that they take care of it for my trouble. The rest of the 11 day stay has been uneventful and have not seen that particular employee again. Also he began a membership and wanted to start me off with an allotment of points, once I figure out how to login to the program. All told, it turned out to be ok but be watchful of those who make other people's lives difficult for no reason at all. Thanks to Dan and the rest of the staff.

Ridiculous pricing of $10 for mac and cheese, do not use the food bar they don't give receipts until the end of your trip 11 days later to know exactly what you're paying for. 20 years traveling in hotels never had food without receipt except here, and family owning a resort since 1938 we don't treat customers that way for a small amount of bill but I guess they're desperate for guests and any small monies they can get from them, leave now while you have a chance.

Also one of the team leaders is moderately delusional, thinks people want to "talk to her" when they're just having polite conversation.

The room was so good, comfortable. Nice and dark when needed. You can adjust your temperature easily. Slept really well there. Hot water plenty. There is only 1 elevator for 4 floors. Pets are welcome.

Horrible Service. The front desk people are just so rude and the only one that was good hasn’t been at work for like a week. There’s roaches and the Security is a joke. The managers are horrible but if you want a free night at this place if you complain enough they will give you a free night.

Great room super clean Great and friendly staff! Would definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

Love my weekend getaway here. Rooms were amazing, staff was attentive. Got In the pool and the jacuzzi which closes at 11pm.

The best of the best. Can I travel for work in 48 states? I never had a such a beautiful experience in my life. Every person in this hotel is friendly and nice and beautiful. In the room what is the most important is very clean

I did a Travelocity "blind" deal and became concerned after booking and reading the reviews (particularly about the bathroom). Well.that was unfounded. The bathroom is clean and I've had no problems there. Is it a very basic bathroom? Yes, but as a business traveler who literally lives in hotels all across the world - from random hotels in third world countries to Waldorf's and Ritz's - I find it to be perfectly adequate for its intended purpose.

I have a King room with a small sofa, a nice work desk sufficiently large for my 2 large external computer monitors, with a decent chair for working, and the bed is actually very comfortable.

My only gripe thus far has been the Wi-Fi. I find that it periodically goes out for 1-2 minutes. The problem is that I need reliable VPN connectivity to my business to be connected to live servers and monitor operations. The internet going out causes those connections top drop, which is far from ideal.

I should also say that the lady who checked me in had a good personality, so staff seem to be good (this was my only interaction).

Long story short, if you are here on business or solo and need a basic hotel in this area then I think you could do a hell of a lot worse. If you are here for a romantic vacation and expecting something resort-style, then perhaps not.

Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, everything very clean and well cared for, smart tv, easy to adjust air conditioning, all with very good attention, I give it a 10:)

The hotel lost my original reservation and I was then charged a higher price (~$60) after waiting over an hour to get into my room. I have been unsuccessful in trying to get this issue resolved. Not Happy!

RUN. This is not a nice hotel. It smells bad, the carpet is gross and.the room looked like it had only been lightly cleaned. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The staff was plenty polite and helpful, but the hotel itself should be avoided.

This place isnway better then what people give it on the reviews honestly if your reading this. This hotel is really nice for the price and way better then other places near by. This hotel is affordable and good quality.

The hotel lost my reservation then charged me double for a new reservation. The front desk was nice but incompetent. Think twice about booking here if you don't want to be inconvenienced

The Sonesta Select was a great time! The price was reasonable as well. The ONLY downside to this location is that if you're at the far end of the hotel on the 2nd floor, and you have a wheelchair or stroller, you have to go the entire length of the building to get to the elevator. I would ask for a room closer to the elevator if you have mobility issues. It wasn't a huge deal but got to be annoying after multiple trips to the room from the pool with my daughter. Otherwise, great stay and accommodations.

A solid 3.5 stars for this hotel; you get what you pay for. I normally stay at higher priced hotels but my work booked the accommodation, so I had zero expectations coming in.

With that being said, service was quite decent. All the employees were polite and courteous. Towards the end of my stay, I needed to arrange for a package to be picked up by courier. The employee really went above and beyond to assist me, so I appreciated that.

The room was very subpar and definitely not somewhere I’d pay to stay in; however, the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and it was easy to adjust the room temperature. I noticed that they do not automatically conduct daily housekeeping, which is strange, but luckily I only stayed a couple nights by myself so it was not an issue.
